To help us in this next phase of development, we are recruiting for a newly created position - Senior Evaluation and Data Manager. This exciting role will report to the Director of Learning and Impact and work alongside the Senior Evaluation and Research Manager. The role will have two main areas of focus. First, the role will help lead a rolling schedule of formative evaluations on activities in local sites including pre-and-post quantitative outcomes analysis. Second, the role will support local learning and high-quality implementation through harnessing the power of quantitative data.
You will be a skilled evaluation and learning professional with strong skills in quantitative data analysis. You will also be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and committed to the need for continued learning and improvement, as a basis for achieving Thrive at Five’s ambition to develop an effective and replicable place-based model for supporting early childhood development.

Lepra is dedicated to addressing leprosy and lymphatic filariasis (LF) and their consequences through direct support, advocacy, and the promotion of inclusive communities. We work in Bangladesh and in India, through our sister organisation, LEPRA Society. Background & Context to the Consultancy
Our new Global Strategy introduces some new approaches and priorities to our work, including: our first ever global Theory of Change (ToC), the most detailed Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability and Learning (MEAL) approach ever, and a sub-strategy dedicated to our Advocacy work. With the finalisation of the new strategy, and as part of our ongoing commitment to improving our impact and efficiency, we are now seeking a consultant to provide specialised support in Monitoring & Evaluation, Accountability and Learning (MEAL), capacity development, and related areas.
Purpose & Objectives of the Consultancy
The primary objective of this consultancy is to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of Lepra’s programmes through robust MEAL practices, capacity development, and comprehensive support across various operational areas including advocacy, knowledge management, safeguarding, project cycle management, and cross-team collaboration.
Scope of Work
The consultant will be responsible for the following key areas over a six-month period:
MEAL
- Strengthening the capacity of the teams across the organisation to effectively deliver on the ToC and the MEAL strategy.
- Ensure that baseline, midline and endline evaluations for selected projects are conducted.
- Develop / roll out tools and methodologies for data collection, analysis, and reporting.
- Support the development of new proposals with a MEAL and project management cycle approach.
- Coach staff and partners on the newly established MEAL framework and on best practices.
- Complete the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) development process across the organisation. (Coordination of SOP review & revision, both internal and external).
- Establish mechanisms for community feedback and accountability.
- Facilitate learning sessions and workshops to share insights and best practices.
- Develop and maintain a knowledge management system to capture and disseminate lessons learned and success stories.

Capacity Development

- Roll out the Capacity Development Needs Assessment (CDNA) to identify and respond to further areas for improvement.
- Design and deliver training programmes to build skills in MEAL, project management, and other relevant areas.

Advocacy Support
- With the team, develop advocacy strategies and materials to support Lepra’s mission.

Safeguarding
- Support the implementation of newly developed processes in relation to the Prevention of Sexual Exploitation & Abuse (PSEA) and Safeguarding (SG).

- Assist in the design, planning, and implementation of projects.

The Role
The role aims to drive and implement ambitious fundraising strategy to support the work of Queen Square. The Individual Giving Manager will shape and deliver the complete experience for new and existing supporters, lead marketing and communications efforts, and oversee Legacy giving.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop and implement a cohesive supporter journey strategy focussed on supporter needs and continuous re-engagement
- Champion best practice and stewardship with individual supporters

- In line with GDPR and complying with all legislation and the Code of Fundraising Practice: ensure fundraising and campaigns are insight-led and focused on long-term growth
- Oversee the compliance of third party agencies to ensure activity is carried out in line with the value of The National Brain Appeal, the Fundraising Code of Practice and the law

2024 marks a hugely important milestone for the Latymer Foundation - its their 400th anniversary!
The Latymer Foundation at Hammersmith was established in 1624 by Edward Latymer, a lawyer and local landowner, with the aim of offering financial support to eight children living in the area, providing them with clothes and giving them an education. An education which would not otherwise have been possible for them to access.
Today, the Foundation runs Latymer Upper and Prep School and one of its main aims is to provide bursaries (financial support for school fees) to as many local children as possible, ensuring that any promising and talented child can access a first-class Latymer education, regardless of their family's financial situation.
As of September 2023, the Foundation is supporting bursaries for 1 in every 5 students at Latymer Upper School, and is aiming to increase this to 1 in 4 students by 2024.
The Role
Reporting to the Director of Development, the Fundraising Manager is a key member of a sector leading development team. Latymer's bursary programme is one of the most successful in any UK independent school. Since 2002, the number of pupils receiving means tested support has grown from just 7 to more than 280 as of September 2023, the majority of whom receive between 75-100% fee remission.
This growth has only been possible thanks to philanthropy through the Latymer community: parents, alumni, Governors, staff, and students.
The Fundraising Manager is at the heart of the community fundraising, focussing on the full cycle of cultivation, solicitation and stewardship
Responsibilities:
* Develop and deliver the strategy and tactics to increase giving and participation in support of our annual bursaries appeals (including Upper School and Prep) using a range of channels and touchpoints (e.g. DM, digital, phone campaign, events, face to face)
* Design the stewardship matrix and tactics to thank our supporters and develop compelling content that surprises and delights our donors, including events and the delivery of our annual campaign impact report, Campaign Review
* Provide a supporter experience that increases conversion and retention and builds long-term commitment to the Foundation, especially important this year as we celebrate Inspiring Minds and start to focus on future campaigns
* Develop case studies to illustrate the impact of donations across communications and devise ways to increase opportunities to see these stories
* Utilise insight and data to set, monitor and evaluate appeal/activity performance and inform future tactics
* Manage the process of researching potential donors and other potential supporters of the Foundation
* Manage portfolio of leadership giving donors to make individual approaches to mid-level donors in support of the Bursaries Appeal
* Work closely with the Bursaries Appeal volunteers to raise awareness of the bursaries
* programme and increase giving particularly amongst current parents
* Oversee the student-led bursaries fundraising Club (RAISE)
* Prepare the annual budget proposal for all fundraising appeals for submission to the
Director of Development, focussing on ROI for fundraising channels
* Manage the Fundraising Assistant ensuring they have the direction and resources to be successful in their role

Cancer52 is a national organisation, created in 2007 by Professor Sir Mike Richards, CBE, then National Clinical Director for Cancer, and registered as a charity in England and Wales in September 2017.
We are an exceptional organisation, providing one voice for all those affected by rare and less common cancers. Historically, these cancers have been underrepresented and under-funded. Today, they represent 47% of people diagnosed with cancer, but 55% of all cancer deaths – a hidden majority. Cancer52’s aim is to change this by taking the collective voice of our members to those who influence cancer policy, research, services and treatment.
Cancer52 is recognised for its strong convening role, bringing together our 115 member charities with organisations in industry, government, the NHS and other stakeholders to address the inequalities faced by patients with rare and less common cancers.
