About the role:
Our Health team has an exciting opportunity for two people to join the team. One of these roles will be a permanent position focused in our North London TST team, and one fixed term appointment (12 months) to join our team in a Camden focusing on Mental Health, with an emphasis on improving the barriers faced by those experiencing homelessness when accessing health care.
As a Health Lead, your role will focus on developing and embedding SHPs health approach into the services the charity provides. It will involve working with and supporting those living within our hostels who have underlying health needs to access and maintain the health care they need. To complete initial health screening tools, create a health support profile plan for each client and to make referrals to and support them in engaging with the correct services (i.e. dentistry, podiatry). In this role you will complete health mapping and use this information to influence partnerships formed with external services to help overcome barriers faced by those experiencing homelessness.
The approach taken with clients will be psychologically informed, incorporating an understanding of Personality Disorder, complex trauma and addiction. The outcomes for your role, include developing positive and sustained relationships of trust with clients, supporting them to engage in health care support and see an improvement in their overall physical health.
About you:
To be successful, you will have:
- A knowledge of (or willingness to learn) about common health issues and the barriers to health access that people experiencing homelessness may encounter.
- Ability to find ways to engage and develop relationships with clients who may have a low level of interaction with and/or suspicion of services.
- Good understanding of local level health set up/services i.e. homeless health providers and teams.
- Confidence in working both as part of a team and independently.
- Skills and understanding of creating and monitoring support plans and record-keeping with regards to client support, safety and safeguarding issues.
- The ability to advocate for and coordinate access to health care for clients with multiple disadvantage.

About the Role
This role will be pivotal in growing the Help for Heroes email supporter base driving income and engagement from different audiences. It’s an exciting chance to be a part of a rapidly growing Individual Giving programme, to working with internal and external stakeholders to produce digital campaigns with advocacy and campaigning at the heart of what you do.
You will be involved in recruiting, engaging and converting the supporter community across digital channels, predominantly via email and DotDigital. It is key advanced engaging supporter journeys via email, following and creating automation journeys whilst also coming up with creative ideas for execution. Motivating supporters to engage with the charity, whether by signing our latest petition, donating, or signing up to become a regular giver.
Additionally, you’ll be able to report and analyse on all elements of our digital mobilisation campaigns, reacting to audience and sector insight to optimise our supporter journey.
About the Team
You’ll be joining the wider Commercial /Fundraising Directorate, who are focused on driving income for Help for Heroes. And you’ll be working directly in the Individual Giving team, a quickly growing team within the Directorate. Help for Heroes has supported more than 30,000 people since 2007, and you can be a part of making such an incredible difference every day.
The Charity Communications Executive is an integral part of the RLSS UK communications team, within the Charity Directorate, with responsibility for supporting the delivery of objectives relating to the strategic framework. Specifically in the aspects of supporting building the RLSS UK brand and reach though multi-channel communications, including media engagement and PR, developing ways in which we engage with and educate communities.
The role will work in line with one of our key strategic pillars: ‘Building our Community’, across the UK and Ireland. This is a pivotal role, working closely with the Charity Communications Team, to lead our PR and brand as well as looking to drive membership and fundraising through communications.
KEY TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES
Communications/Marketing
- Work collaboratively with the charity communication and marketing department with national campaigns to raise brand awareness and deliver vital water safety messages.
- Lead the organisation’s public relations; managing our media function including writing press releases, responding to and managing media calls, requests, and enquires, as well as briefing spokespeople for media appearances.
- Monitor, evaluate, and report on marketing communication performance to the Charity Communications Manager.
- Work with agencies, where appropriate, to ensure they are achieving specification and are delivering ROI.
- Ensuring that the RLSS UK brand is consistent, used correctly and is enticing and familiar to the public.
Membership Communications
- Manage the process, from conception to delivery, of the organisation’s staple membership communication, Lifesavers magazine, on a bi-annual basis. This includes –
- Project planning (including budgets, deadlines, relationship management etc)
- Content writing and creation
- Cross-departmental working to ensure content from relevant parties is received and collated effectively
- Editing and proofreading
- Supplier management, to ensure successful distribution
General
- To demonstrate and uphold the Society’s values and behavioural standards at all times
- Ensure compliance with UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018 by complying with internal information governance policies and maintaining up to date documentation as part of RLSS UK’s compliance programme

The Community Engagement Department enables our student community leaders to gain the knowledge, skills and connections for themselves and their student communities to thrive.

This role is maternity cover for the Head of Fundraising.
The Fundraising and Business Development Manager is a really exciting position which will play a key role in driving growth and sustainability for FearFree by identifying and securing new funding opportunities, developing strategic partnerships, and enhancing our service delivery.
The successful candidate will work across the senior leadership team, service teams, the fundraising team and the marketing team to ensure that FearFree is well-placed to respond proactively and also reactively to business development opportunities.
The role can be hybrid, with attendance at our office in Exeter or Trowbridge. The candidate should be willing to visit the fundraising team several times in the other office during their tenure.
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to make a real meaningful impact on the lives of those impacted by domestic abuse, sexual violence and stalking.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
Fundraising and Revenue Generation:

- Support the fundraising and service teams to identify, research, and secure funding opportunities from trusts, foundations, government grants, tenders, and corporate sponsors.
- Build and maintain relationships with donors and funding bodies to secure ongoing support.
- Identify and build relationships with major donors and philanthropists/ philanthropic bodies to secure support.
Strategic Partnerships:

- Work with the fundraising team to identify and establish strategic partnerships with corporate, public, and community stakeholders.
- Collaborate with local authorities, social enterprises, and private sector partners to develop initiatives that support FearFree’s mission.
- Represent FearFree at external meetings, conferences, and events to promote the charity and develop new networks.
Service Development:

We are seeking a highly motivated and self-driven individual to join our Fundraising Team as the Community and Events Fundraiser. You will lead, plan, cost and deliver an exciting and varied community fundraising programme to grow income and a strong return on investment. You will need to work closely with the Director of Fundraising to shape the plans and resources required for the future.
The post holder will require a good knowledge of fundraising and considerable energy and enthusiasm that will inspire patients, visitors, hospital staff and the local community to choose Southampton Hospitals Charity as their preferred charity.
Main Responsibilities
Hospital engagement and Community Relationships
- To create and increase awareness of fundraising for Southampton Hospitals Charity across all University Hospital Southampton sites working closely with the Marketing and Communications team
- To foster effective and productive relationships with key stakeholders including consultants, doctors, nurses, care group managers etc
- To ensure visibility of fundraising materials including poster sites and leaflet holders in the hospitals, community etc and ensure they are kept up to date and relevant
- To create a Fundraising Hub out of Unit 2 by driving supporters and stakeholders to the office to build a real sense of community spirit and a hive of fundraising activity
- To be proactive in seeking out new fundraising opportunities, relationships, and networks.
- To develop, support the delivery of and evaluate a strategic supporter journey and stewardship journey across the community fundraising programme focused on generating net return and supporter retention.
- To lead on researching and developing trust and charity networks to acquire new supporters in the communities served by the Trust based on audience insight and analysis
- To build and maintain relationships with supporters through face to face, telephone, email, and written correspondence with the aim of securing financial and “in kind” support.

Knowledge and experience
- Experience of increasing income through successful community, events, corporate or volunteer fundraising programmes or equivalent transferable experience from another sector

Using your experience of developing media strategies, you will advise teams on how to enhance ShareAction’s position as a thought leader on responsible investment, support organisational goals to influence decision-makers and engage target audiences and help manage ShareAction’s reputation by advising on risk and mitigation.
