We are looking for a talented and tenacious new Head of Social Media to join our External Relations and Media team. Our new Head of Social Media will lead Alzheimer’s Society’s social media functions, developing a compelling and inclusive organic social media strategy which integrates with organisational aims and positions Alzheimer’s Society as the leading dementia charity in the UK.
This role will drive a high-performing team to deliver proactive social media content that resonates with a range of audiences across multiple platforms, from people with dementia/carers, through to decision makers, supporters and the wider public. And we want to ensure that we’re quick to react to breaking news and we’re watching out for channel-specific trends – creating engaging content that grows our audience and brand awareness.
The role will work closely with senior colleagues right across the Society with the need to influence and collaborate at the highest levels. As Global Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning Officer, you will support PEAS country level MEL teams in fulfilling their learning objectives in relation to delivering our school improvement technical assistance programme to non-PEAS partner schools. Purpose
The HR Administrator role is an excellent opportunity for someone with HR or admin experience, who is interested in starting/progressing an HR career and looking to gain experience in a friendly but busy small HR team. The role provides a day-to-day HR admin service to employees and HR admin support to the part time HR team (two HR Business Partners and the Head of People & Development). Working in the HR team, reporting to a HR Business Partner, your main responsibilities will cover:

Provide high standards of HR admin support to Citizens UK stakeholders.

Play an important role in introducing new and improving existing HR processes for a better HR service delivery and employee experience.

Be proactive in supporting the HR team in various streams of work to achieve the HR Business Plan.
Achieve work targets effectively

New Starter Onboarding Process: creating documents for HRBP approval (offer letters and contracts), ensuring all starter paperwork is returned, requesting and tracking the return of references, right to work checks, and setting up new starter compliance training.

Leavers: leading on leaver admin process, ensuring it is completed in timely manner.

Recruitment: becoming an expert user of Applied, our applicant tracking system. Advertising jobs (on Applied and external jobsites), arranging interviews and supporting colleagues with recruitment queries.

Invoicing and Credit Card Reconciliation: processing invoices on Finance system, Kissflow and the monthly credit card reconciliation for HR transactions.

Payroll - accurately updating and maintaining ADP, the HR & Payroll database. Uploading documents, running reports. Supporting HRBPs with payroll queries.

Regularly updating and auditing other HR data to ensure information is up to date (e.g., pensions data, new starter training, wellbeing data).

Employment checks: maintaining the DBS list and processing DBS checks for existing and new staff.

SharePoint: maintaining HR Self Service folder, ensuring documents are up to date.

Appraisals: ensuring appraisal forms are logged and uploaded to ADP.

Probation: Managing the probation period process

Minute taking at HR/relevant meetings and sharing with colleagues.

Supporting the team with ad hoc tasks as required and undertaking any task that may be requested from time to time that may be consistent with the nature and scope of this post.

Day to day responsibility for the HR and Recruitment Outlook inboxes, responding to routine queries and forwarding queries to HR colleagues.

First point of contact for recruitment queries from candidates, forwarding them to the appropriate HR colleague or hiring panel as necessary.

Understanding, handling, and managing data GDPR compliantly and keeping up to date with new legislation.
Generate income and resources

Job Title: Information & Advice Helpline Officer (Maternity Cover)
Hours: 17.5 hours (Tuesday 9.30 - 4.00, Thursday and Friday 9.30 – 4.30)

Background to the Role
Do you have helpline or call centre experience? Are you good at communicating on the telephone? Do you enjoy helping people to find information and solutions to challenges? Are you approachable and a good communicator? We need you to join our high volume, friendly helpline team of staff and volunteers, answering calls and providing information and support to older people in Croydon.
Our helpline is a first point of contact for many older people and their families and carers as they tackle a variety of issues around finance, social engagement, housing and council tax, travel concessions such as Blue Badge and Taxi card. You will play a crucial role in answering our busy Information & Advice Helpline phone: listening carefully and sympathetically to callers, finding solutions to their queries or issues and. The role is varied and very rewarding, and no two days are the same.
Main Duties (but not limited to)
- Providing information and signposting to callers to our Helpline and to people enquiring by email
- Entering new client referrals on our database and recording each new enquiry on our systems
- Supporting and supervising volunteers within the I&A Team

Responsibilities will include (but are not limited to)
- Offering a friendly and professional first point of contact for people phoning or emailing Age UK Croydon’s I&A Service
- Listening carefully to what clients say and ensuring the response to every enquiry is centered around them.
- Finding out clients’ needs, by asking them open questions about their circumstances, and opening up opportunities to offer them holistic support.
