Marketing Manager 

A unique opportunity has arisen to join our busy communications team for a 12-month maternity cover. You’ll play a critical role in uncovering stories of social change, bringing them to life and amplifying these stories with a view to raising brand awareness, demonstrating impact and supporting fundraising activities.

Role Responsibilities 

• Work with colleagues to develop tailored communications and marketing plans for key projects, agreeing and monitoring against KPIs,

Inter-departmental working

• Work with fundraising colleagues to identify which stories of impact best support income generation from IG up to major donors and High Net Worth Individuals. 

• Create and nurture positive relationships with the people and organisations whose stories we tell, ensuring they understand the central role they play in building coalitions of support for our work.

• Build an engagement plan for organisations receiving social change funding and set clear expectations around reporting and sharing evidence of impact. This could include regular briefings/meet-ups and a regular e-newsletter. 

• Conduct regular on-site visits with funded projects capturing content. 

• Develop, with support from an external consultant, a press strategy, which encompasses a strategy for reactive and proactive press, including promoting internal speakers.

• Support the programme manager with sharing information around social change funding rounds internally (internal comms) 

• Build a reliable press list, including developing relationships with key journalists from relevant publications. 

• With an external consultant, develop strategies to increase engagement with vision loss champions and other high profile supporters, directly relationship managing when appropriate.

Digital 

• Run quarterly webinars framed around our work in social change, which can act as a showcase for impact and that feed the funnel of people interested in social change funding or funding social change. 

• Ensure all funding rounds are accurately reflected on our website in good time for funding rounds going live.

• Build web pages crafted to appeal to individuals with an interest in funding social change research. 

• Develop and deliver a corporate website portal that highlights the impact of our work and opportunities for how people can become involved. 

• Search optimise content so that it appeals to those who are:

•  Seeking social change funding
•  Seeking to fund impactful social change programmes
•  Seeking to replicate what works (blueprints for change)
•  Develop digital and social media strategy, alongside Digital Content Manager. 

Policy, campaigns and research (social impact) 

• With Head of Communications launch a policy and public affairs arm for the new organisation. 

• Contribute to the successful delivery of major integrated campaigns including awareness, fundraising or policy centred projects, ensuring alignment and amplification with all other activities. 

• Contribute to the legacy strategy of campaigns, such as The Unseen and See My Skills. 

• Represent Fight for Sight in cross-organisational working groups in this area.

Ad hoc role / support within the team 

• Ensure that all systems and processes are fully GDPR compliant including regular reviews.

• Ensure increased levels of engagement with Fight for Sight’s social media channels, reporting on performance. 

• Ensure that all content on the Fight for Sight website is up to date, fit-for-purpose and engaging, working with colleagues to monitor performance, proposing and testing improvements.

• Ensure that all communications reflect the experience of blind and vision impaired people and, wherever possible, co-produce activities and plans.

• Keep up to date on sector developments, sharing findings with colleagues.

• Support the selection of appropriate consultants and freelancers to support on areas of focus, including copywriting, design, digital platforms.

• Degree or equivalent (Communications, Marketing or related subject is desirable),

• A strong communicator, you’ll be able to forge relationships across departments and collect stories from colleagues, including fundraising, retail, volunteers and people with lived experience,

• We’re looking for someone who has empathetic and sensitive, you're skilled at treating people’s stories with care and attention, developing authentic narratives and communicating them for maximum impact, 

• An expert interviewer who can draw out the details of people’s stories, you’ll spot what makes a strong story for our charity,

• With strong interpersonal skills, you’ll positively manage relationships with people who volunteer to share their stories, as well as internal colleagues and freelance writers, photographers, etc. 

• Working with internal stakeholders to place diverse projects across fundraising, marketing, communications, retail and social change and medical research, you’ll place the stories so that they have the biggest impact for the charity while ensuring individuals aren’t overloaded with requests, 

• Strong commissioning skills to manage a pool of external writers, photographers and videographers,

• Strong writing and editing skills to turn stories into engaging copy across a multi-channel environment,

• Demonstrable experience of PR and Press activity,

• Experience of working with key marketing platforms including Hootsuite and Canva, and e-newsletter platforms,

• Working knowledge of website editing platforms or content management systems.

About the Role

As Mental Health and Wellbeing Manager you will help promote positive mental health coping strategies and the overall wellbeing of clients through various practices that ultimately empower people to take control of their own mental health and wellbeing. 

You will take the lead on developing creative and innovative initiatives that contribute to positive mental health outcomes and personal wellbeing in every aspect of your work.  These initiatives will be based on the Endeavour principle of co-production where we will take an asset-based approach focussing on what is strong in people and the spaces and communities we operate in.

Key responsibilities include:

Role Purpose

This is an exceptional opportunity to join the Royal Hospital Chelsea as Assistant Director of Audience Engagement on a fixed term contract to cover maternity leave.  A core focus of the role is to develop the Royal Hospital Chelsea into a national heritage destination while ensuring our community of veterans remains at the heart of everything we do.

You will support and empower our clients as they move from crisis towards stability, independence, and meaningful engagement in the community.

As a Project Worker, you will have a direct and lasting impact on the lives of some of the most marginalised people in our society. You will play a vital role in helping clients sustain accommodation, access services, and develop the skills and confidence needed to take control of their lives. Tree Equity Scores bring together multiple datasets, such as deprivation, heat, canopy cover and more, to provide a single figure that illustrates an area's need for urban trees. The Tree Equity for Hartlepool project marks the first town-wide approach in the UK to address low Tree Equity scores across an entire urban area. This multi-partner project, led by Trees for Cities, will work across planting, engagement and awareness raising of the urban forest. 

Working with Hartlepool Borough Council, Trees on Tees Community Forest, The Woodland Trust, Thirteen Group housing association and Treeconomics, this partnership brings together major local landowners alongside national tree specialists to deliver a programme of work over two years - and is seeking a Project Manager to drive the work forward.

ABOUT THE ROLE

As Project Manager, you will be responsible for this flagship work locally, overseeing a diverse portfolio of tasks. This will include project and line management, development of tree planting projects, being the charity’s voice in the region, developing partner relationships, advocating for our work and raising the profile of the charity and urban trees with key stakeholders. You will ensure the smooth running of the project and success for this flagship piece of work in the Tree Equity movement.

The role will involve a large amount of interpersonal work and requires a confident, well-organised and friendly individual who can both confidently lead and manage the project, and act as a spokesperson for the charity and urban forestry with key stakeholders locally. You will be responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships with partners, and these will be key to success, ensuring the project is delivered with ambition to get the results the community needs.

You will work under the steer of the Senior Development Manager, and line manage a locally based Project Community Coordinator. You will represent Trees for Cities and build the strategic presence of the charity and partners in the Tees Valley area.

As Trees for Cities looks ahead to its next strategic period, this project is a key flagship piece of work, and the role will be required to represent the partnership and associated work being done. In delivering a successful project, the case will be made for addressing low Tree Equity scores at the local and national level, influencing decision makers to best support urban forestry. 

This project is funded by the National Lottery Heritage Fund.

About the Role

Fundraising and philanthropic advocacy are at the heart of GiveOut’s work. As Senior Philanthropy Officer, you will be a key member of the Philanthropy team, implementing a vital part of our philanthropy programme as we deliver our growth strategy.
 

You will identify, engage, cultivate and steward major donors (high net worth individuals) and charitable foundations to secure high value gifts and grants, grow long term strategic relationships in support of the LGBTQI movement, grow GiveOut's network, and provide a top quality donor experience.

Job Summary: 

We are seeking a dynamic creative Content and Campaigns Manager to oversee the development, implementation, and evaluation of our programme content across the globe. This role will work closely with the Global Programs Manager in the creation of key content and curriculums, strategising, delivering improvements, implementing campaigns and optimising processes. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Programme Development: To support the Global Programs Manager in ensuring the creation and execution of innovative programs that align with the charity's goals, for audiences both on-line and in-person. 

• Content Planning: Use of various techniques to develop program plans e.g. storyboards etc.

• Content Creation: Write and edit engaging and concise short and long form copy for various content (e.g. workbooks, animations, scripts, training guides), working with creatives/stakeholders as necessary. 

• Consistency: Maintaining a consistent style, quality, and tone of voice across all content.

• Implementation: Coordinate with various stakeholders in the delivery of programs, including addressing translation requirements and contextualising a particular region. 

• Localisation: Ensuring content is culturally appropriate and effective.

• Evaluation: Monitor and analyse programme performance, collaborating with the Event Managers to provide insights and recommendations for improvement.

• Content Distribution: Managing content distribution to ensure strong traction and engagement.

• Content Campaigns: Develop and manage comprehensive communication campaigns, including digital, social media, and email marketing as required.

• Process Optimisation: Streamline on-line and in-person programme processes related to program development and delivery.

• Reporting: Generate detailed reports on program performance and progress.

• Any other related activities as directed.

RABI’s financial support includes targeted, emergency cost-of-living grant campaigns including its Return to School and Winter Fuel campaigns. The charity has provided around £1/4 billion of direct financial support to the farming community over the past 25 years.
 
ROLE OVERVIEW:
 
The Philanthropy and Partnerships Manager is responsible for leading and developing RABI’s philanthropy and partnerships donor base, focusing on building and nurturing relationships with major donors, trusts and foundations, corporate partners as well as legacy and in-memory supporters (larger funders).
 
This plays a pivotal role in shaping RABI’s fundraising strategy, identifying major funding opportunities and creating impactful engagement strategies to secure long-term financial support for the charity’s sustainability.
 
Relationship building is key to this position, communicating effectively with our donors by enhancing and strengthening relations through cultivation tactics and deepening relationships to ensure robust support from these influential stakeholders.
 
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
 
• Develop and implement a comprehensive Philanthropy and Partnerships (P&P) fundraising strategy to drive RABI’s fundraising activities and support long-term sustainability. This includes overseeing the cultivation and stewardship of major donors, trusts and foundations, corporate partners as well as legacy and in-memory supporters (larger funders).
• Report on income and expenditure targets, ensuring targets are met and assisting with budget setting.
• Cultivate, solicit and steward relationships with larger funders, ensuring strong and sustained engagement.
• Develop tailored proposals and partnership packages aligned with potential partners’ priorities and interests.
• Manage, identify and build relationships with key corporate funders, negotiate and manage agreements, ensuring clear communication of expected deliverables.
• Oversee and manage all trust and foundation opportunities, identifying potential funders whilst monitoring and reporting on deliverables and outcomes ensuring timely delivery of all requirements, ensuring compliance with regulations.
• Develop compelling, tailored proposals and partnership packages to align with the interests and priorities of potential partners, demonstrating impact.
• Plan and execute donor stewardship events and activities to enhance engagement and retention. Ensure that donor recognition and communications are carried out with precision, ensuring donors feel valued and informed.
• Manage, track and utilise CRM systems (e.g. Microsoft Dynamics) to maintain up-to-date donor data, track progress and provide concise and timely reports on fundraising activities and income and expenditure reports. Analyse donor trends and engagement metrics to optimise fundraising strategies.
• Ensure all fundraising activities comply with legal and regulatory requirements, including GDPR the CIOF Code of Fundraising Practice and RABI’s internal policies. Make certain the charity’s best practices are upheld in all donor interactions and fundraising activities.
• Responsibility for line management, providing guidance, support and performance feedback to ensure the development and success of team members.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams, including fundraising, communications, service delivery, business development and external affairs to identify project funding opportunities, share donor insights and collaborate and support the development of other fundraising initiatives.
• Take part and contribute to team meetings.
• Actively participate in the staff appraisal scheme and be committed to training and development in line with RABI’s aims and objectives.
 
PERSON SPECIFICATION:

• Demonstrable experience in a senior fundraising role, with a proven track record in securing major funds from larger funders.
• Exceptional major donor management skills, with experience in donor stewardship, partnership development and engagement strategies that build long-term relationships.
• Extensive knowledge and understanding of targeting, segmentation and response analysis.
• Persuasive written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to develop compelling applications, proposals and donor communications. Capable of tailoring messaging for different audiences and ensuring clarity, consistency and emotional impact.
• Experience of managing a fundraising team and assisting with recruitment and team development.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport and manage relationships at all levels, both internally and externally.
• A strategic outlook with the ability to identify fundraising opportunities and take the initiative to drive growth.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and CRM systems (preferably Microsoft Dynamics). Familiarity with fundraising platforms and donor management systems.
• Ability to manage time effectively, prioritise workload and meet deadlines. A creative and proactive approach to work, capable of juggling multiple tasks while maintaining attention to detail.
• Thorough understanding of data protection, fundraising regulations and compliance practices, ensuring that all fundraising activities adhere to legal and best practice standards.
