To be successful in the role of Trust and Foundations Manager you will need:

The role of Dose of Nature’s Development Manager is a permanent, high-level role which will continue to evolve as the work of Dose of Nature grows over the coming years. The post involves creating and implementing a fundraising strategy, supporting the Chief Executive with financial planning, and providing clear long-term direction to income generation.
The Development Manager will work directly with the Chief Executive to devise a long-term development strategy, identify and secure funding partners, and produce relevant and compelling funding proposals. Currently the main sources of funding are from trust and foundation grants and local council health care grants. Going forward the Development Manager will grow the funding stream from trusts and foundations and look to solidify the donations from locals. As the charity develops there will also be opportunities of securing funding from the corporate sector, helping to secure Dose of Nature’s future.
The role requires a focused and detail-oriented mindset, entrepreneurial flair, business development experience, excellent written communication and interpersonal skills, good time management and the ability to juggle several complicated tasks at once. It provides a fantastic opportunity for someone with a “can-do” attitude, someone who is passionate about supporting the aims of Dose of Nature and also who wants the freedom to make this role their own.
As with any small charity we hope to find someone who is multi-faceted in terms of their fundraising skill set, and within this, without being a communications specialist, we anticipate that the Development Manager will have experience of charity communications (although this is not the main focus of the role). Ideally the Development Manager will be able to help with creating a communications strategy, support communication tools such as newsletters and social media, and identify any opportunities that may help Dose of Nature grow.
Dose of Nature has an annual turnover of approximately £400,000, of which 75% is currently raised from trust and foundation grants along with donations from individuals. The Development Manager will be responsible for maintaining this income and also securing significant new funding during 2024-25. With a good network of local support, the Development Manager will have the advantage of having a database of supporters to work with and there is the potential to create an individual appeal or giving scheme. Currently the Chief Executive makes all funding applications to trusts and foundations and these relationships will be passed on to the Development Manager who will be expected to nurture these and secure grants from new sources.

Skills and experience:

About the BSAVA:

About the role:
Victim Support have been successful in securing funding for the delivery of Drive. Drive is an innovative national framework that aims to improve the lives and safety of victims and children affected by domestic abuse by holding high-risk perpetrators to account. This involves the identification and targeting of high risk/high harm perpetrators and combines case management with a co-ordinated multi-agency response.
We are looking for a case manager who will work with approximately 31 perpetrators per year. This role is based from our Blackpool Office, delivering a service that covers Blackpool, Wyre, Fylde, Lancaster and surrounding areas therefore you will need to hold a full driving license and have access to a car. You will be eligible to apply for Hybrid working (2 days per week from home) after successful completion of your probation. As a Drive Case Manager, you will be:
- Providing intensive case management on a one to one basis with perpetrators whose victims have been identified as high risk at MARAC to pro-actively secure engagement, influence attitudinal and behavioural change and link to complementary services.
- Working collabertively with existing agencies to design a co-ordinated, strategic individual intervention plan to address identified needs and risks and promote understanding of the impact of abusive behaviours. Throughout the intervention the Case Manager will work closely with the IDVA service to review risk, develop safety plans and improve outcomes for all parties involved.
You will need: -
- An understanding of domestic abuse, risk assessment and risk management including experience of working with victims and/or perpetrators of domestic abuse, those with complex needs and/or challenging behaviour.
- The ability to build relationships with key stakeholders and develop multi-agency responses to support and/or disrupt perpetrators in order to reduce the harm they pose to victims.
- The ability to appropriately challenge service users and other agencies in order to achieve positive outcomes and reduce the risks posed to victims
- To be flexible, adaptable and highly resilient.

Main purpose of the role:
As Team Leader you will line manage a team of adult social care Support Workers who support adults with learning disabilities, in a supported Living house.
The Team Leader supports the Registered Care Manager in creating and promoting community and a sense of home, leading the service delivery in line with L’Arche values, traditions and standards, and the requirements of the Care Quality Commission [CQC].
As our Team Leader, you will be responsible for the smooth and safe running of one of our supported living houses. This will include managing and creating the monthly rotas, updating and managing digital care plans and risk assessments, supporting and supervising assistants (including inducting new team members). Also, overseeing reporting such as medication records, health and safety, and quality assurance checks, implementing the planning and undertaking of meaningful activity, taking part in support reviews, ensuring training is relevant and up to date, and working as part of the senior leadership team to maintain a high quality of care.
Essential Criteria
- Experience of leadership in adult social care in a supported living or care home setting;
- A record of accomplishment of effectively leading and managing team performance, such as providing clear objectives, reviewing outcomes, putting in place develpment plans, and taking appropriate action to deal with poor performance;
- Ability to guide, support and teach the essential skills of supporting people with disabilities;
- Supportive of the identity, mission and values of L'Arche and enthusiastic about working within a community organisation rated Outstanding by the CQC;
- Level 3 Health & Social Care Diploma (adult care) or equivalent, or proven ability and equivalent experience combined with willingness to study at this level in accordance with community policy;

This is an exciting time to join Myeloma UK as we launch our new five year strategy.
Our portfolio of grant funded research programmes and projects play an important role in achieving our strategic objectives. These programmes aim to discover and share new knowledge, support the development of clinical trials and answer questions of unmet need in myeloma.
The postholder will ensure the development and effective management of the grants portfolio in line with Myeloma UK procedures, ensuring compliance with AMRC guidelines and charity finance requirements. You will have experience in securing significant donations from major donors, charitable trusts, and/or corporate donors. As the Proposal Writer and Grant Specialist, your role will be central in securing income from high value donors (worth £100K+ per annum), that fund some of our most critical work. This will involve developing and writing high quality proposals, concept notes and reports in line with our organisational priorities. As part of our internally-focussed Strategic Funding Team you will work closely with colleagues across our federation to ensure we are presenting the highest priority and most strategic work to our donors. This will involve setting up new projects, establishing log frames, monitoring and evaluation frameworks and grant management, reporting schedules, and keeping donor-facing account managers informed on progress.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to improve team practices, support the design and roll out of templates and training, and embed grant management systems. You will also be responsible for encouraging standardisation across teams in AAUK, managing requests and communications to colleagues in Federation Member countries, and ensuring donor communications systems and processes are up to date. Other responsibilities include sharing best practices, writing compelling human interest stories, managing a personal portfolio of restricted grants, and delivering capacity building workshops. About the Role:

We provide a range of services for those affected by drugs and alcohol. Our skilled and compassionate people work closely with services users to change and save lives. We combine proven expertise in treatment and recovery with innovative approaches and actively involve those we help in improving the design of the services we provide.
You will be based in our psychosocial team working with adult males (over 18 years old). You will be responsible for delivering a range of elements of our substance misuse work, including case management, assessments, care planning, the delivery of one-to-one interventions to include harm reduction and motivational work, group work, and engagement support, as well as other associated duties. You need to be committed supporting clients to make positive changes in order to prepare them for release into the community, and you will arrange continuity of care. You will work in collaboration with the clinical team and integrated working is a key element of this role. You will work within the prison setting and contribute towards the wider drug strategy.
Having experience of supporting people with complex health needs including substance misuse, you will bring knowledge and commitment to deliver drug and alcohol treatment. You will have a non-judgemental attitude and a desire to support the lives of our service users to be healthier and safer by delivering a high-quality service.
Experience of working with drug and alcohol misuse and individuals is essential. You will be a competent communicator, with the ability to work independently and be comfortable and enthusiastic, both with the highlighted client group and working in partnership with other service providers. Previous experience or knowledge of working with clients on opiate replacement treatment, and/or involved in the criminal justice system will be advantageous.
