About the Role
We are now recruiting for a Fundraising and Grant Management Specialist to support the Senior Leadership Team in developing and implementing Hibiscus’ Fundraising & Partnerships Strategy.
The successful candidate will be motivated and passionate about the rights of migrant women affected by the criminal justice and immigration systems, and will workThis post holder will identify and plan funding approaches in support of the organisation’s aims and objectives. They will manage current funding relationships whilst developing strong relationships with new funders who can support the charity’s work long-term. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a rolling programme of applications, planning compelling and targeted proposals in support of Hibiscus’ work and develop a fundraising database to track applications. This will involve exploring opportunities for Hibiscus to diversify its funding, working with SLT and the board to identify and cultivate strategically appropriate contacts. The post holder will also be responsible for ensuring stakeholder engagement by producing reports and updates for doners and trusts, facilitating the trauma-informed participation of Hibiscus’ service users in fundraising and establishing good working relationships with colleagues. They will play an active role in communicating relevant information to colleagues, and will work with colleagues to develop impactful, meaningful and data driven proposals.
The successful candidate be responsible for maintaining Hibiscus’ fundraising and development libraries, resources, and directories, including accurate records to monitor feedback. They will support the management of a case studies library, and work as part of the wider team, encouraging dialogue, promoting understanding and championing the work of Hibiscus.

About You

The successful candidate will be motivated and passionate about the rights of migrant women affected by the criminal justice and immigration systems, with successful fundraising experience and excellent writing, research, and stakeholder engagement skills. The candidate will have strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills, be able to set personal priorities, objectives and deadlines while maintaining a focus on key organisational and strategic priorities. They will work effectively as part of a team and demonstrate significant emotional resilience and intelligence. They will be familiar with and confident navigating data protection in relation to fundraising, always ensuring their work is grounded in the ethos, aims and objectives of Hibiscus Initiatives and human rights in general.The successful candidate will be able to acquire new skills and demonstrate a strong commitment to learning. Political awareness and knowledge of political developments in immigration law and policy is desirable. Tameside SHS is a mental health, 24 hour supported housing and community-based service, working to a recovery model. We provide a range of support services for people with mental ill health to access in their local community, including outreach support, tenancy support, peer support and supported housing. We have been operating in the area for a number of years and offer a staffed service to our residents aged 18 and upwards. Care to join us?
As a Specialist Intervention Coach your challenge will be to monitor, develop and share good practice across staff teams to ensure individuals and teams are better equipped to work with a greater range of challenging support needs. We’ll also rely on you to provide high quality intensive support using psychotherapeutic intervention and support the staff team in delivering these. Working to deliver the guided intervention model and brief interventions for Waythrough as a requirement of service expectations will be important too. What’s more, when it comes to seeking to maximise a multi-agency approach for complex cases, provide effective leadership in formulating support plans or ensuring data entry to reporting systems is accurate, timely and in line with quality assurance requirements, again we’ll count on you.
You’ll be working closely with a range of professionals to ensure risk assessment, management and safeguarding requirements are effectively planned, assessed responded to and met, so good verbal and written communication skills are essential. You’ll also need a track record of dealing with ‘high risk’ clients and managing resources effectively, as well as experience of carrying out investigations and writing reports and recommendations. Solution focused and outcome driven, you’re great at leading, supervising and motivating staff and delegating work appropriately, have a firm but inclusive, open and encouraging management style and lots of tact and diplomacy. Well House is a crisis house supported accommodation service that supports individuals for between 14 and 28 days as an alternative to requiring hospital admission for their mental health needs. The service works closely in partnership with a multi-disciplinary team in order to meet individual needs, manage risk and support individuals to achieve positive outcomes. The service operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to ensure members of the local community are able to access critical mental health support at all hours. The service receives referrals primarily from a local hospital emergency department and crisis lines, and may receive these referrals at anytime of day or night.
This role involves shift working including weekends, evenings and bank holidays.

We help individuals with mental health problems to find paid employment or return to their current role after a period of ill health. Your challenge? To do everything you can to help the individuals we work with to source appropriate work experience placements with local organisations/employers. Day to day, you’ll offer support, careers advice and guidance, helping people to set their own recovery and employment-focused goals and provide training in personal and skills development such as CV preparation, interview techniques etc. You’ll also be responsible for establishing and maintaining positive links with community mental health teams (CMHRS), Early Intervention Into Psychosis (EIIP) Teams, partner organisations, local employers and other relevant agencies and have the initiative to develop and promote the service. Additionally, you will have responsibility for maintaining efficient admin systems to ensure referrals, assessments and reviews are completed in a timely manner.
