The role:

• Assist the Head of Finance with the preparation of the Greenpeace Ltd monthly management accounts.
• Provide support and advice to budget holders to aid budgetary understanding and ownership.
• Proactively work to improve finance processes, including developing budget management processes.
• Assist the Head of Finance in the efficient and timely preparation of the Greenpeace Ltd annual accounts production and the conduct of the annual audit.
• Represent the team at a senior level including providing financial advice to the organisation.
• Share leadership responsibilities for the team with the Head of Finance. Provide expertise, insights, financial advice and problem solving as necessary.
• Assist the Head of Finance with improving VAT reporting, compliance, analysis and organisational understanding.
• Influence and manage the workload of the Finance team, including the delegation of work, weekly/monthly monitoring of workload and priorities against work plan/timetable, and resolution of any bottlenecks that occur.
• Lead and develop the Senior Finance officer who reports directly to you.

The successful candidate will:

• Be a qualified, or a finalist Accountant (ACCA/ACA/CIMA or other chartered accountancy qualification) or will be qualified by experience.
• Have substantial experience of management accounting, budgeting, forecasting and reporting.
• Be a self-starter, with the ability to work on own initiative
• Have proven experience of delivering a business partnering focussed service and providing in depth insight, analysis and guidance to budget-holders.
• Support and believe in the aims of Greenpeace.
• Have highly developed communication skills with credibility to operate outside the finance function up to senior management level.

The IT Support and Logistics Associate facilitates the deployment of Jangala's Big Box and Get Box systems globally, supports equipment logistics, and provides crucial support to our projects team. This role is crucial in helping partners get - and stay -  connected in remote contexts worldwide

We are looking for someone resourceful, tenacious and empathetic, who can pro-actively deliver and support communications and campaigns projects and activities, ranging from press releases and digital content to publications and media content. The opportunity

The Society for the Protection of Animals Abroad (SPANA) is the charity for the working animals of the world. Since 1923, working through a series of global projects and partnerships across 23 low-income countries, SPANA has supported the welfare of working donkeys, horses, camels, oxen and other working animals in communities that depend on them for water, transport, agriculture, and their very survival. 

As part of the charity’s ambitious strategic development plans, SPANA is recruiting a Communications Officer. In this role, you will proactively develop and drive work to generate awareness and support for SPANA, and ensure working animals are represented in the global news agenda.

Your key responsibilities include:

Media and PR

• Deliver local, national and international PR (both online and offline), supporting awareness-raising, global programmes, emergency, fundraising and advocacy activities and campaigns. 
• Implement media plans in line with the global fundraising, marketing and communications strategy and in support of communications KPIs. 
• Organise PR engagements and activities for media and other stakeholders as required.
• Produce and distribute press releases, articles, statements, case studies, Q&A sheets, position statements, briefings, press packs and other media materials.
• Identify opportunities for, and support the development of, appropriate content (video, imagery etc) for media release.
• Oversee the production of video news releases or other content for broadcasters and digital media, assisting and supporting the content team in editing footage.

Communications and campaigns

Brand and content

• Write copy for SPANA publications, marketing materials and digital channels, such as the website and social media. 
• Work with the Senior Content Officer, in-country teams and freelancers, to develop, catalogue and select content (photography, video, case studies).
• Oversee the production of promotional materials as required. 
• Proof copy and review materials against brand guidelines on behalf of staff from across the charity.

• Stay up to date with the latest developments in PR and communications.
• Contribute to SPANA content on third-party sites (e.g. Wikipedia).

Role summary

In this role, you’ll be a key member of our small leadership team helping to strategically drive engagement, and income generation.The right candidate will need to be highly resilient with exceptional political, negotiation and relationship development skills.This role includes shared responsibility for securing income that not only sustains our own charity but leverages in significant funding for the wider sector.

Engagement

• Working with the CEO and Director of Operations, to create and deliver an income strategy focussed on meeting VSF funding targets and our aspirations around duration of contracts and grants.Ensure all opportunities to leverage funding for the wider sector are seized.
• Develop strong relationship with key influencers and decision makers within our statutory partner organisations.
• Working with the CEO to lead strategic business development campaigns such as securing second phases of funding for our key funding streams.Be a key face to put to these campaigns.
• Monitor progress against income targets, ensuring an agile approach to mitigating risk and channelling focus of the team in order to maximise return on investment.

The Senior People Advisor works within the People and Culture team to provide staff with advisory support across the whole employee lifecycle from onboarding through to offboarding and ongoing HR support, which reflects and highlights our organisational culture and values. The role is supported by the People team who operate across the globe and work collaboratively to ensure our culture, people and processes are well aligned. The role will lead on providing advice on employee relations issues to all employees and people managers in their regions.

You will also ensure that staff who are hired and/or paid through PEOs receive the same positive, welcoming and nurturing experience as staff who are employed directly by Sunrise.

You will work closely with the Learning and Development Director and People and Culture team to assist in the design and delivery of areas that drive culture and transformation across Sunrise. This will include overseeing and utilizing our LMS system and supporting leadership development, JEDI, core compliance related areas and any other areas identified as part of learning needs analysis. You will also support the evaluation of our programmes, tools and techniques for delivering learning.

The role will also lead on developing the curriculum for our organisation wide onboarding programme and materials.

Key Responsibilities

Provide generalist people support that will include areas such as:

• Employee/industrial relations - providing support, advice and guidance on a range of issues including conflict management and working with and escalating when required to our people and culture lead(s)
• Providing onboarding support and coordinating issue of contracts and any updates to employment for specific for regions that you support
• Providing local hiring support working with the Hiring Advisor as needed, this may include coordination support, quality assuring our process and providing advice to hiring managers.
• Being first point of call to responds to queries /requests for your regions and escalating as appropriate to People and Culture Lead(s)
• Support the implementation of the JEDI strategy within the regions you work in

Managing communications between PEOs and Sunrise and their HR leads for Europe based staff (Remote, Safeguard,Velocity) with some support for North American based staff including:

• Facilitating employee life cycle to facilitate pre-boarding, payroll changes, onboarding and offboarding including exit interviews.
• Providing the PEO with guidance and updates on employee relations issues e.g. performance management, grievances, workplace health & safety, etc. by investigating issues, evaluating potential solutions and assisting in implementing agreed-upon actions via the PEO.
• Working with PEO’s to seek advice and expertise on labour law legislation and related risks, to ensure that alignment between Sunrise and PEO HR practices is balanced with compliance to local legislation.

Specialist areas will include:

Learning and Development

• Work with the Director of Learning and Development and People and Culture Leads to design, deliver and implement opportunities that are aligned with learning needs
• Work with Managers to regularly evaluate learning needs analysis and seeking input from L&D Director to design solutions where appropriate
• Support with sourcing, design and delivery of compliance related resources and learning for the organisation
• Utilize our learning management system to support learning activities and development and maintenance of the LMS
• Oversee and develop our approach to onboarding globally and lead on the design and implementation of the curriculum, ensuring regular updates are made as we grow
• Evaluate the effectiveness of learning activities working with the L&D Director to develop a consistent framework

Other

• Leads and/or participates in HR-operational related projects, e.g. Intranet, HRIS, program reviews, etc
• Works with P&C Leads to provide relevant data and reports for board and organisation reporting

Required skills, knowledge and experience

• A working knowledge of, and experience in a people advisory role, in particular contemporary HR practices and related regulatory/compliance requirements.
• Prior experience (equivalent to 5 years of experience) and success in designing and delivering learning interventions with experience of remote content design and delivery.
• Knowledge of and experience of applying learning theories and best practices
• Experience of managing commercial partnerships and relationships with third party suppliers
• Experience of designing and delivering learning experiences globally taking into consideration JEDI and cultural differences.
• Experience of using learning technologies, learning management systems and/or virtual learning environments.
• A high level of emotional intelligence, with advanced communications and engagement skills (rapport building, influencing and trust building).
• Advanced level organisational, time management and administrative skills. Operational focussed project management experience, including competence in using project management tools (ideally Asana, or similar)
• Well developed experience of managing issues and conflict management, troubleshooting and problem solving skills, together with a positive, collaborative approach.

ACT is an established charity paying grants to actors to bring stability and opportunity to their children.

None of ACT’s main fund is endowed so the Trustees must ensure new income to maintain reasonable reserves. In recent years ACT has received fewer legacies and donations from individuals, but we have been able to draw down from capital to supplement income. However, with the current low growth in investments, ACT must now diversity our income streams to support existing services.

Fundraising brief

We believe grant-making Trusts and Foundations are a significant source of potential income. The Trustees are seeking an experienced freelance trust fundraiser to raise an initial minimum target of £70,000 to support our ongoing children’s activity grants and projects.

The freelance fundraiser will identify parcels of work and potential funders. You will write bids and lead on the process, acting on the charity’s behalf as the main point of contact. You will report to Jane Foy, an ACT Trustee who is herself a professional fundraiser. Data will be provided by ACT’s head of family support and executive director.

ACT’s supports a niche group of beneficiaries. Our work is not project-based but may be parcelled into clusters of specific impact. This role is therefore likely to appeal to a fundraiser with experience in making a compelling case for a charity that is harder to fund.

Who we are looking for

A self-motivated and an effective freelance fundraiser with a strong track record of securing grant funding for a national organisation. Well-developed relationships with grant makers and knowledge of specialist funds. Excellent research and writing skills with ability to develop outcomes in line with funder’s expectations.

Deliverables

Delivering a case for support, for different areas of ACT’s work (see below).

A range of applications made on behalf of ACT between September 2024 and March 2025 to generate minimum £70,000.

We're looking for an empathic and energetic Helpline Co-ordinator to join the Helpline Management Team.  You'll be working closely with our Helpline Supervisor and Helpline ISVA (Independent Sexual Violence Advisor), co-ordinating the smooth running of all aspects of TST’s Helpline service supporting survivors of rape, sexual abuse, harassment and bullying.

You will also provide administrative, practical and emotional support for TST’s survivor forum meetings.  Experience of supporting group sessions will be an advantage.

You will ideally have a background in recruiting, training and supporting volunteers.  Effective communication skills, both written and spoken, are essential and you will be able to work sensitively and confidently with difficult topics.

You will be responsible for supporting and attending internal meetings, co-ordinating rotas and supporting the Helpline and Call Handlers during opening hours.

You will maintain accurate records and part of your role will include gathering statistics for monitoring and reporting processes.

Grandmentors is an innovative volunteering project where older volunteers (aged 50+) use their lifetime of skills and experience to support and mentor vulnerable young people leaving the care system. Role Purpose

Supporter Stewardship

• Respond to a range of fundraising enquiries in a timely manner, liaising with supporters via email and over the phone as appropriate. 
• Send out ad hoc postal requests for fundraising materials from CoppaFeel!’s office. 
• Work with the Individual Giving Manager in supporting the creation and postage of weekly thank you letters and gifts for donors. Supporting the thanking of corporate partners as appropriate. 
• Ensure communications with supporters are recorded on our CRM system.
• Identify high performing fundraisers or supporters to submit for Chest Champion status to ensure recognition and celebration of their support.
• To attend events to represent CoppaFeel! and the Fundraising team. 
• To support in the stewardship of small businesses based on our small partnership criteria including monitoring activity and stewarding through dedicated fundraising platforms. 

Coordination of fundraising materials 

• Support the Operations team in coordinating fulfilment of requests for postage of materials. 
• Responsible for monitoring the inventory of fundraising materials within the office and our storage unit. 
• Ensure our fundraising materials remain relevant and up to date with current fundraising guidance, CoppaFeel! health messaging and branding.

Administration

• Work with our Finance Executive to support accurate finance reconciling of donations and income streams along with general finance administration. 
• Code the back end of JustGiving pages to ensure accurate income reconciliation and reporting. 
• Create and maintain up-to-date records on our donor database.
• Pull accurate reports from our donor database as requested by the Fundraising team to maximise donor engagement and retention.

About the role

This is an exciting opportunity to join our Healthier Places team. We are looking for a Graduate Engineer, to support in the delivery of our innovative programme of people-focused street and route design.

As a transport charity, the focus of the work will be the integration of Engineering and Placemaking as an integral part of Active Travel infrastructure projects. The principle objective of these projects will be to encourage higher levels of walking and cycling and the creation of equitable and accessible environments for all. 

You will be part of a multi-disciplinary design and engineering team, working on projects funded by Welsh Government, Transport for Wales, Welsh Local Authorities and engaging with diverse communities across Wales.

This role will require travel and work at locations as necessary to undertake projects on behalf of Sustrans.

About you

You should have a degree in Civil Engineering, Traffic/Highways Engineering, or other degree related to engineering design within the built environment (or other equivalent experience).

You will have a knowledge of inclusive design: understanding the relationship between streets and social justice and an ability to develop creative design engagement exercises suitable for a variety of audiences including school children.

Competence in using design software and the production of technical drawings using CAD. 

You will be skilled in demonstrating openness, inclusiveness, sensitivity and the ability to interact respectfully with all people and understand individuals’ differences.

Westway Trust is looking for dedicated and reliable experienced Cleaning Attendants to provide supervised access to the new public toilets located on Acklam Road, next to Portbello Market. As a member of the Cleaning Attendant team, you will play a crucial role in maintaining a clean, safe, and hygienic environment at all times. 

The role requires someone with a good physical stamina who is friendly, confident with an energetic approach to work and will be fully committed to achieving a consistent standard of cleanliness and appearance throughout the facility.

Key responsibilities of the role include but are not limited to:

• To open and lock the facility and return the key to the Trust’s offices.
• Effectively and efficiently manage the access control system.
• To ensure that all toilet cubicles (toilets seats, pans, urinals, basins and door furniture) are clean and fit-for use.
• Properly clean all sanitary appliances, fittings, and areas on a regular basis as directed.
• Sweep, wet mop, and floor polish designated areas.
• Replenish towels, soaps, and toilet rolls as and when required and maintain cleaning equipment and supplies.
• Coordinate and work positively in collaboration with other members of the cleaning team.
• Ensure that all health and safety regulations and sanitation guidelines are adhered to.
• Clean glass surfaces, mirrors, and windows.
• Carry out periodic checks of the facility to ensure cleanliness and safety.
• Report repairs and replacements that are required when encountered while cleaning.
• Empty waste bins and replacing liners.

Essential Experience, Skills and Attributes:

• A minimum of 3 years of proven experience as a cleaner in any institution or organisation.
• Good communication skills as a general cleaner is required to possess the ability to accept, understand, and follow instructions and to deal with users and the public in a professional manner.
• Confident and energetic approach to work.
• Adequate knowledge of cleaning chemicals and supplies.
• A willingness to learn.
• Attention to detail to perform a thorough job.
• Ability to complete physically demanding tasks.
• Integrity, reliability, and trustworthiness to work independently.
