The 2022-2026 strategy will enable a more impactful and sustainable Voluntary and Community Sector (VCS), support the creation of a more inclusive and equal Southwark and a collaborative VCS able to influence change

The role and responsibilities

This is an incredibly exciting time for Community Southwark. This is a brand new role, and will be transformative for our members. The postholder will be integral in shaping how Community Southwark supports charities in maximising support from the corporate sector. This will be done through a blended approach of direct engagement with the corporate sector, and upskilling Community Southwarks' groups and charities via Corporate Advice Appointments and training workshops.

• Identify and engage new corporate partnerships for our members
• Deliver Corporate Advice Appointments to support with development of members corporate partnerships strategies
• Promote funding opportunities to corporate partners and stakeholders
• Develop inspiring stories and case studies across Community Southwark of successful and impactful partnerships
• Work with colleagues and partners across Community Southwark to increase the number of new corporate partnerships amongst members

About the role:

As the Personal Assistant, you will provide confidential and proactive support, including diary and inbox management, communication handling, travel arrangements, and administrative tasks. The Role

Newham Together Café provides a safe space for people who may be experiencing or moving towards a mental health crisis. The service will offer a range of interventions including 1-1 support and safety plans, wellness & recovery action plans and social prescribing.

This will include problem solving, devising and implementing solutions through the postholder developing new processes and good practice to improve efficiency and reduce expenditure.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Trouble shooting on problems in relation to utilities management, especially gas and electricity supplies, changing ineffective ways of working to deliver effective and sustainable processes.  
• Establish and lead on regular meetings and develop an effective working relationship with Nacro’s contracted energy management company to hold it accountable and to maximise benefits to Nacro in relation to gas and electricity supplies.

• Ensuring an accurate list of properties is maintained and updated, reconciling existing property databases, ensure changes are appropriately communicated.
• Liaison with energy companies to manage and administer, meter changes/replacements
• Ensuring gas and electricity meter readings are collected by local operational teams, then collated and passed to energy companies.
• Directing and liaison with energy companies on queries and issues relating to energy accounts and meters.

Develop excellent relationships with ICS stakeholders (including NHS, local authority, and commercial organisations). Manage relationships all levels to ensure effective networks, communication and collaboration are created, nurtured, and enhanced.

Formalise the governance arrangements for the contracts, working closely with the Steering Group to ensure governance enables ambitions.

Organise and facilitate engagement events with the wider VCSE sector, including sessions with ICB/Cornwall Council and colleagues from outside the sector.

Grant Funds

Lead on Cornwall Community Foundation contract liaison ensuring grant funding is delivered as planned, that the learning approach is embedded, reporting provides the data needed and that VSF has the communications content required.

Work with our learning partner to ensure learning events are well plan and that learning questions and plans are available well ahead of time.

Annually set the priority target areas for VCSE grant funding budgets, by facilitating discussion with the partnership and the Cornwall VSF team.

Ensure that learning is fully considered by the steering group and that delivery changes as a result of learning.

Ensure appropriate performance, impact and financial reporting processes are established for any grant elements within VSF’s management, governance procedures, and standards.

Personal health budgets

Working with wider VCSE partners, create a specification of what the programme requires from a PHB delivery provider, that includes guidance, process, forms, data, analysis, follow up with recipient and data capture and analysis from the follow up.

Work with learning partner to determine a learning approach for PHB.

Develop reporting measures for PHB and update information quarterly.

Human learning system approach

Work with learning partner to create a plan for the learning approach that covers all aspects of the partnership and on prioritise learning outcome that can be accommodated.

Facilitate the steering group considering learning and discussing potential changes to plans and service delivery.

Engage and lead on elements when required for programme managers, practitioners and CWF grantees learning sessions.

Reporting

Work with the Programme Coordinator and Intelligence and Impact lead to ensure the programme is capture all data required to enable continuous improvement of the programme.

Ensure that data is analysed to demonstrate important intelligence and impact and the relevant information is shared with Comms officers to feed into the Communications plan.

Lead on reporting to wider partnership on collective performance.

Lead on quarterly reporting to commissioners at quarterly online or face to face meetings.

Ensure end of programme reporting offers evidence of the value and impact of the partnership in readiness for re-commissioning

Communications

Work with the Communications (comms) Officer to create a communications strategy and delivery plan that will be shared with partners and funders.

Work with the Comms Officer to ensure that comms reporting metrics are determined so that appropriate data can be captured.

Oversee the creation of a comms brand strategy and guidance for the partnership, comms templates such as impact stories, case studies, requests for comms support, partner comms plans.

Ensure the comms officer works with partners to develop comms plans for their element of the service and that partners report back on their comms activities, this should be collated for impactful reporting to commissioners and for analysis on what has provided good return on either time or money spent.

Oversee the creation of social media channels for the contract and the social media strategy.

Work with Comms Officer to determine how to spend the modest comms budget, prioritising where the money is used and assessing the impact of the spend.

People with lived experience

Work with the Comms Officer to ensure that the voices of people with lived experiences are embedded in the strategy of the programme, by working either with other organisations such as Healthwatch and wider VCSE partners or by cultivating a specific programme group if necessary.

Ensure that this is embedded for the lifetime of the programme and that people with lived experience have a route to feedback about the services.

When feedback/steering is provided, ensure it is fed into the learning cycle.

We are looking for a Senior Project Manager to lead the expansion of our global networks and deepen relationships with local stakeholders in a range of countries. Our aim is to help strengthen new and growing Living Wage alliances around the world that have potential to become affiliates of the Living Wage Foundation.

The ideal candidate will be a proactive and experienced project manager with excellent communication skills and a track record of engaging diverse global stakeholders at all levels of seniority to build effective movements. We are looking for someone who will facilitate knowledge-sharing and provide strategic support to members of our Global Living Wage Network, (GLW) resulting in the establishment of new Living Wage accreditation schemes around the world. 

Main Responsibilities

Contribute to the achievement of LWF and GLW Project strategic objectives:  

• Develop and implement strategies and ideas for action that are consistent with Global Living Wage (GLW) Project and LWF goals and core mission.

• Develop and implement a network development strategy to strengthen our GLW Network and develop an Affiliate pipeline

About the Service User Network (SUN)

The SUN is an open access model of community-based facilitated group peer support for people experiencing complex emotional needs associated with complex trauma and/or a diagnosis of ‘personality disorder’. The SUN aims to help people develop effective ways of coping, reduce emergencies and improve access to appropriate services.

Those accessing the SUN may or may not have a formal diagnosis of personality disorder. Group members will have experienced longstanding emotional difficulties, isolation and may demonstrate patterns of behaviour that may not be helpful in the longer term.

About the Role

Fundamental to creating empowerment and engagement in the SUN Project is the therapeutic community principle, that the effectiveness of the service depends upon engaging group members in the task of running, delivery, development and evaluation of the service. The utilisation of SUN members’ own resources and expertise is integral to the SUN model of peer support.

SUN Facilitators will have their own lived experience of complex emotional needs associated with a diagnosis of ‘personality disorder’ and will be able to demonstrate their recovery journey. They will work closely with mental health practitioners from ELFT (East London NHS Foundation Trust) to deliver regular Service User Network (SUN) groups in different community-based locations in Bedford, Central Bedfordshire or Luton. Full training in the SUN model, and weekly supervision by a Psychotherapist / Psychologist, will be provided for all team members.

Facilitators will work to develop and support the therapeutic community principle of the SUN model and the effectiveness of the service through engaging group members in the task of running, delivery, development, and evaluation of the service. The utilisation of SUN members’ own resources and expertise is integral to the model of peer support upon which the SUN groups are based.

SUN facilitators will have regular supervision and support in this role along with appropriate training.
