Norwood is currently recruiting a full time Physical Activity Lead to join the Complimentary services team within the Ravenswood Sports and Physical Activity Team. We offer sessions for Adults with Physical and Learning Disabilities, all within a semi-rural residential village environment in Crowthorne. This role is to manage a small team to deliver the sports and physical activities provision. This involves working closely with the Physical Activity Practitioners in conjunction with other professionals when required. To deliver and plan wellbeing and physical activity programmes, in response to the needs of the people we support in the village. This can be facilitating group and 1:1 sessions, to provide a person centred service. Consisting of health walks, bike club, rebound therapy on the trampoline and guided sessions within the hydrotherapy pool.

This candidate ideally is to be qualified to deliver sports sessions, develop sports programmes and has experience of managing a team. Full training will be provided and support to fulfil the role. The Physical Activity Lead role will also include varied administrative duties such as invoicing, keeping health and safety records up to date and liaising with external service providers. As Legal Manager, Legal Service for Independent Media, you will provide dedicated project leadership to continue to pilot the operationalization and implementation of a legal offering to support journalists and independent newsrooms, whose safety and independence are under threat.

You will report to TrustLaw’s Head of Special Projects, while working closely with the TrustLaw and the Media Freedom teams. You will manage one Legal Officer, Media Freedom.

This is a fixed-term 12-month contract based in London.

About the Role:

As our Legal Manager, Legal Service for Independent Media, you will:

• Map evolving trends and legal threats for journalists, media freedom NGOs and independent media outlets and identify the most pressing legal gaps and needs

• Build excellent relationships with key stakeholders, both internal and external, including expanding our network of expert NGOs and legal teams working in the media, journalism and media freedom space

• Refine the operating model for the media-legal offering based on feedback received, including intake process, eligibility requirements, project flow, and impact monitoring mechanisms

• Work closely with our Media Freedom and Programmes team to ensure alignment and integration of the media-legal offering within the Foundation's existing media freedom work, and to identify other innovative programming, products and approaches that best leverage the Foundation’s assets

• Scope, and support the management of pro bono or low bono legal requests and cross-border research projects that address critical needs of journalists, media freedom NGOs and independent media outlets

• Scope and oversee the development of tools, resources, trainings and other content on key legal issues of relevance to journalists and independent media outlets to address threats to their safety and independence and build resilience

• Deliver and/or coordinate delivery of trainings, legal health checks and events for media freedom NGOs, journalists and/or media houses, often in partnership with the programming teams

• Support the development and implementation of a communications, engagement and outreach plan, as needed, in collaboration with the Foundation’s Communications, Social and Media Freedom teams

• Support bid development and partnership-building to ensure financial sustainability of the offering

• Carry out a variety of administrative, reporting, planning, monitoring, and logistical responsibilities linked to the project

About You

To be our Legal Manager, Legal Service for Independent Media, you will likely have:

• An LLB, with preference for a qualified lawyer or an advanced law degree

• At least five years’ experience working in the legal field, with prior experience in media law or related human rights matters, either in a law firm, media house or non-profit organisation

• Strong understanding of international standards on press freedom and/or the media law/policy landscape. Understanding of the legal needs of journalists and media outlets in the global south or Central/Eastern Europe/FSU an advantage

• Excellent project management and organisational skills including the ability to manage effectively multiple matters and projects in a fast-paced environment, with a high degree of creative and flexible thinking, and the ability to incorporate lessons learnt through pilot delivery

• Prior experience working on donor-funded projects is a plus

• Excellent research, drafting and analytical skills, with experience in training an advantage

• Excellent interpersonal skills – able to establish and maintain positive working relationships both internally and externally, with people from a wide variety of cultures and backgrounds

• Resilience, ability to cope with high pressure and work environments and find solutions to problems when they arise – able to quickly understand complex information and communicate to non-experts

Project summary - Species Recovery for Chalk Steams – Wilder Communities

Herts and Middlesex Wildlife Trust has secured a grant from the Species Survival Fund, a partnership between Defra and the National Lottery Heritage Fund.

The Species Survival Fund is enabling the Trust to deliver an ambitious restoration programme for our chalk river and wetland habitats across 11.15km of the River Lea Catchment in Hertfordshire.  As part of the project, with additional funding, the Trust will be working in local communities to highlight the importance of our chalk streams and wetland habitats and enabling groups and individuals to take their own local action for wildlife.

This community organising work will initially focus on communities in and around Welwyn Garden City and Hertford.

The role of Charity Coordinator is a new one for FTWW. This role forms a key part of our Operations team, led by the Director of Operations. Comprising of both front facing and behind the scenes departments including Cafes and Bars, Bloomsbury Fitness gym, Human Resources, Facilities and Systems, the team delivers core functions and central services for the Union, as well as providing a diverse range of quality facilities accessible to our 40,000 members.

The role is a full-time and permanent contract.

Do you have significant experience of working in a bars licensed environment? Have you got experience of minimizing cash & stock losses by implementing procedures?

The post holder will assist the Venues and Entertainments Manager in managing the activities of all Venues/Bars and staffs, including student supervisors and have overall responsibility for the quality and quantity of work for all staffs. The successful candidate will also organize and manage the delivery of the venues/ bars service across the Students’ Union in a way that meets the specific needs and requirements of students and staffs in terms of time, quality, quantity and cost. The role holder will carry out checks on a regular basis to review the financial performance of the outlets and evaluate the value for money of existing working practices, resource levels and supply arrangements.

About the Team:
The Digital Product team sits within the Mass Engagement Department, which is part of the Fundraising and Communications Directorate. The team supports and directly delivers activities to grow online revenue and supporter engagement as well as supporting digital activities globally across the international WaterAid Federation.

About the Role:
As Digital Analyst, you'll drive the organisation's understanding of how WaterAid supporters come to our digital platforms (including websites, advertising and social media) and what compels them to support or interact with us.

In this role, you will work with teams across WaterAid to understand our audiences, map their behaviour and make recommendations for improving campaigns.

You'll also:

• Be available to answer queries from stakeholders by ad-hoc reporting and analysis.
• Own, maintain, and develop the technical implementation of new and existing digital analytics tools on WaterAid's digital assets.
• Train and support users across WaterAid (including global teams) in the basic use of our primary analytics reporting packages.
• Develop hypotheses about user behaviour and seek to validate these through data analysis and testing, working these hypotheses into ongoing analysis where possible.
• Protect the user experience and interests of WaterAid's supporters, such as those relating to data privacy, in all digital activities.

About You:

• Experience of using and implementing a web analytics clickstream tool such as Google/Adobe etc.
• Experience of using Google Tag Manager
• Excellent communication skills with an ability to explain technical concepts to a non-technical audience.
• Commitment to WaterAid's values.

Although not essential, we also prefer you to have:

• Experience of using session recordings, heatmaps, or online surveys to augment web clickstream data.
• Understanding/knowledge of the INGO sector.

We are currently seeking a Scheme Manager to work at one of our Independent Living schemes in Kidlington, Oxford. The scheme consists of 54 properties and the role would be working alongside the onsite care team, who provide 24/7 care. In this key role you will deliver intensive housing management support to residents living within the scheme and liaise with the care team and external agencies to ensure that holistic support to residents is delivered to meet their needs.

What you will be doing:

· Manage an Independent Living Scheme, by carrying out all intensive housing management tasks, such as income management, dealing with tenancy related issues and communicating with residents and third parties.

· Maintain thorough records of all contact with residents and support providers/professionals, using relevant systems as appropriate.

· Carry out suitability assessments, tenancy sign ups and empty homes management.

· Ensure the scheme is well managed, safe, and clean by overseeing any communal repairs, cleaning or maintenance and liaising with appropriate departments as necessary, escalating any unresolved concerns.

· Liaise with care teams and external agencies to ensure that a holistic package of support is offered to residents.

We’d love to meet someone with:

· Experience of working in a housing related role.

· Knowledge or understanding of tenancy management issues.

· Experience of managing safeguarding and anti-social behaviour cases.

· Experience of working with clients with complex needs.

About the role

This role supports the Global Talent and Learning team by delivering global talent development initiatives, maintaining learning management and performance management technologies, and creatively leading team branding, intranet, and social media communication campaigns.
