Pivotal to the success and delivery of the Centre’s programmes is our Fundraising Team's work to fund our programmes. 

Overall Purpose of Role

The Corporate and Individual Donor Manager will play a leading role in driving our fundraising strategy, cultivating and maintaining relationships with corporate partners and individual donors to secure vital funding for our programmes. This role demands a strategic thinker with exceptional communication skills and a proven track record in donor management and fundraising.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

Corporate Donor Management

• Develop and implement a targeted corporate fundraising strategy to significantly grow corporate donations.
• Identify and research potential corporate partners, aligning their CSR objectives with the mission of The Baytree Centre.
• Create compelling proposals and presentations tailored to corporate donors, highlighting the mutual benefits of partnership.
• Establish and nurture relationships with key decision-makers within corporations, ensuring ongoing engagement and support.
• Plan and execute corporate fundraising campaigns and events to drive donor engagement and increase contributions.
• Collaborate with the Communications Manager to create bespoke corporate sponsorship packages and marketing materials.
• Monitor and evaluate the success of corporate fundraising activities, adjusting strategies as necessary to achieve targets.

Individual Donor Management

• Develop and execute a strategy to grow individual donations, including major gifts, regular giving, and one-off contributions.
• Identify and engage potential individual donors through research, networking, and targeted outreach.
• Craft personalised communication plans to build strong, long-term relationships with individual donors.
• Organise and manage donor recognition programmes and events to acknowledge and celebrate donor contributions.
• Create and launch innovative fundraising campaigns, leveraging digital platforms and social media to reach a broader audience.
• Develop and distribute impactful fundraising appeals and newsletters to inspire and retain individual donors.
• Analyse donor data to identify trends and opportunities for growth, providing regular reports to senior management.

Summary of role

The Community Fundraising Lead will work as part of the Partnerships team. The role will collaborate on the development of the community fundraising strategy and will lead on its implementation. The role will include engaging our community with a range of fundraising opportunities and will play a vital role in generating the funding needed for Choose Love to continue to support displaced people around the World.

Core Responsibilities

• Drive revenue via community fundraising generated by individual fundraisers, employees of our corporate partner base and small businesses supporting Choose Love

• Build a creative, diverse community fundraising strategy using learnings from your previous experience

• Collaborate with partnerships comms and digital teams on the creation of community fundraiser journey, downloadable pack and assets for fundraisers and ensure these are kept up to date

• Act as the key point of contact for Choose love community fundraisers, helping keep them informed and supported and giving them the tools to maximise their donations 

• Work towards fundraising targets by building Choose Love's community fundraising activity

• Regularly identify and explore new opportunities for fundraising 

• Help to generate and realise new community fundraising ideas

• Work with communications team to ensure regular updates about community fundraising activities to drive donations and inspire and ask others to fundraise for Choose Love

Events Assistance

• Event support for both Choose Love events and external events organised by VIPs, community fundraisers and other stakeholders - this can be everything from tracking RSVPs to arranging printed materials, payment devices, merchandise and coordinating corporate volunteers at the event

• Assisting with elements of the Choose Love Shop, as required, including logistics, facilities, technology, being an onsite point of contact for talent, corporate volunteers and other stakeholders and occasional shop shifts to help out at busy times

• Running ad hoc pop up merch stalls with corporate partners

• Running festival stalls 

General Partnerships 

• Working collaboratively with the team and Choose Love Leadership to creatively and practically build the Partnerships team’s fundraising revenue 

• Being a first point of contact with supporters messaging on our social media channels and engaging with the Choose Love online community

About You:

You will need to be passionate about Choose Love’s vision and mission, building strong relationships with our local and community supporters. 

Essential criteria include:

• At least 2 years experience in a community fundraising role 

• Exemplary communication abilities with a can-do attitude

• A self-starter who will enjoy the autonomy of getting to deliver a strategy you’ve helped to shape and seeing the results!

• Creative and interested in exploring new opportunities and trends to help keep Choose Love ahead of the curve

• Excellent organisational abilities with meticulous attention to detail.

• Able to be flexible, work out of hours when needed and assist with things outside the normal scope of the role when things get busy. We are a small team so this attitude is very important!

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

• Working with the Partnerships and Funding team by writing bids that bring in external funding to deliver social impact in our communities
• Working collaboratively with Community Investment colleagues to ensure the Thriving Communities vision is delivered in localities
• Working effectively with our Grants Officer to support the grant programmes and work with awardees as required
• Embedding a framework for social impact and outcomes recording

What we need from you

Ideally, you'll have significant experience and expertise in the Community Investment sector gained from working in a similar role.

You'll need excellent partnership skills, a focus on delivering social impact, ability to identify opportunities for fundraising and programme development and commitment to customer service with the confidence to collaborate with a variety of stakeholders. You'll also have:

• A proven track record of positive stakeholder engagement and relationship management, both internally and externally
• Excellent communication skills both oral and written, tailored to a range of audiences
• Strong organisational and project management skills
• Experience of quality assurance of projects, including monitoring and evaluation systems
• Confidence with budget management and financial systems
• IT literate and able to use technology for effective project delivery

• Enable, encourage and enthuse children and young people to get involved in every aspect of Church life
• Represent and host 3Generate, the Children and Youth Assembly of the Methodist Church
• Listen to the voices of children and young people from across the Methodist Church in Britain and to be advocate for them in the life of the Church at every level – this may involve a lot of independent travel, and evening and weekend travel
• Influence the decision-making of the Church by sharing the opinions and priorities of children and young people

This is a unique and exciting opportunity to travel and work around Britain and overseas, supporting children and young people from all backgrounds. The work is challenging and varied and you will have experience of public speaking, debating, team and independent working, report writing, listening and facilitation, worship leading and more.

The Physiological Society 

The Physiological Society has made significant contributions to our knowledge of biological systems and the treatment of disease. The Society promotes physiology and supports those working in the field by organising world-class scientific meetings, offering grants for research, collaboration and international travel, and by publishing the latest developments in its leading scientific journals.

The position 

In this role, you will coordinate The Society’s communications activities to ensure a coherent and impactful narrative, manage the Communications Grid, and act as a brand champion. Your responsibilities will include establishing and maintaining networks with partner organisations and third-party suppliers, managing the communications and membership budget, and leading the establishment of key performance indicators for communications and engagement activities. You will also develop targeted narratives, oversee the production of various communications content, and monitor trends to propose innovative projects.

The Communications and Membership Manager has line management responsibility for a Senior Communications Officer, Membership and Grants Officer, and a Communities and Contents Officer.

Who are we looking for? 

The ideal candidate will have a Life-Science degree or relevant experience in Life Sciences. They should have a strong track record of developing and delivering multi-channel communications for diverse audiences, including translating complex research for lay audiences. High digital literacy is essential, encompassing digital design tools, content creation, website management, email platforms, and social media management. The Activities and Move on Coordinator is responsible for managing and promoting Look Ahead's move on pathway across the RBKC complex needs service and also ensuring there is regular activities across all of our services that will not only build on residents' life skills but also enhance co-production within our services. The post holder will be responsible for sourcing accommodation in the private rented sector - liaising with landlords and sourcing new move on routes for resident. The post holder will also be responsible for sourcing funding for activities both internal an externally and working with residents across our services to ensure that the activities ran are done so in a co-produced way. This will also involve liaising with and establishing relationships with agencies outside of the organisation with whom we can form joint working relationships that will help with us developing life skills and enhancing the residents experience when it comes to co-produced activities available to participate in within our services.

VOICES are excited to be seeking our first full time fundraiser to support our growth and development. We are looking for an individual who has relevant sector experience, a good knowledge and understanding of fundraising and a commitment to working in a trauma informed way. As a survivor led organisation, we are looking for someone who shares our ethos and will be proactive in consulting with our Lived Experience Group(s).

You will work closely with the CEO to help secure the long-term future of VOICES, through expanding and diversifying our income generation.

With a good understanding and knowledge of grants and trusts fundraising, you will also help direct our future – with consideration to community fundraising, charity shop and/or social enterprise. Whilst we’ve many ideas about what it might look like, no decisions have yet been made and we’re keen to work collaboratively with our new fundraiser and hear their vision.

At VOICES, we have big ambitions which would cement our role as sector leader in recovery services and ensuring survivors’ voices remain at the heart of policy and practice.

This role will also involve working to help develop VOICES’ name, increasing community awareness of our charity. You will therefore bring with you, knowledge of social media, marketing and communications and/or a willingness to learn.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

- Develop, oversee and actively lead the implementation of a fundraising strategy which exploits a wide range of fundraising opportunities, maintains diverse and sustainable income streams, and builds the organisation’s voluntary income capacity to meet its aims and objectives.

- Oversee and support the development of fundraising, with consideration to diversifying our income avenues.

- Working closely with the CEO and Finance Assistant, maintain an overview of funding across the organisation and analyse income sources to manage the fundraising strategy, assess progress against targets and contribute towards our financial capacity.

- Absorb the knowledge of the team and consult with them regarding priorities, representation, approach and model.

- Work with the CEO to develop high quality grants and trusts applications (our current main source of income).

- Build on our existing corporate partnerships and establish / develop new corporate partnerships for VOICES.

- Attend Finance Committee meetings and the Board of Trustees, reporting on fundraising and progress against the strategy.

- Help to grow the name of VOICES, through use of relationships, partnerships, marketing and communications.

- Work closely with the Centre Administrator to agree a planned approach to social media.

- Working with the VOICES team, consider the role of volunteers in VOICES – taking management responsibility for any fundraising volunteers.

- In line with our trauma-informed ethos, adopt a trauma-informed approach.

- Work with clients, including the Lived Experience Group, to hear their ideas for fundraising and enable their participation in events / volunteer opportunities where appropriate.

- Develop and maintain relationships with a variety of key stakeholders including Clients, funders (including trusts, companies, major donors), Trustees and volunteers.

• Engage with students in school and enrol them onto the programme 

• Match students with volunteer tutors 

• Monitor student attendance to tutorials and devise innovative solutions to encourage attendance
