This role will be to support the perpetrator intervention across Wiltshire.
You will be primarily based in Wiltshire supporting the Domestic Abuse Serial Perpetrator (DASP) project, providing bespoke specialist support to perpetrators of domestic abuse. The post holder will work as part of the IOM team within a dynamic, fast paced, crisis intervention, advocacy and support service to ensure that clients who show abusive behaviour are supported through every stage of the process of change. Evening appointments are necessary for this post in Salisbury and Chippenham.
In addition, you will support the delivery of the CPR (Choosing Positive Relationships) Domestic Violence Perpetrator Programme (DVPP), which is an intensive behaviour change programme, designed to increase knowledge and understanding around domestic abuse, the impact on children and healthy relationships. The course teaches tools and strategies to help someone change their behaviour. The CPR group will require weekly evening work in Wiltshire.
The post-holder will be expected to work to Respect standards.

- Identify and assess the risks and needs of individuals who are abusive in a relationship or other domestic setting, using an evidence-based risk identification checklist.
- Develop personalised risk assessments and safety plans for each service user.
- Advocate for individuals who wish to address their abusive behaviour and show motivation for change with agencies who can help to address the domestic abuse by:
- Understanding the role of all relevant statutory and non-statutory services available to those who are abusive and how your role fits into them.
- Providing advocacy, emotional and practical support and information to individuals, including in relation to drug and alcohol, housing, health and finance.
- Working directly with all key agency partners to address the impact of the abusive behaviour on the safety of high risk victims and ensuring that their safety plans are coordinated.
- Support the client to recognise the abusive behaviour and the effect that it has on their families and assist them in recognising the features and dynamics of domestic abuse present in their situation and help them change unhealthy patterns of behaviour.
- Understand multi-agency partnership structures and work within a multi-agency setting which may include participation at the MAPPA/MARAC. You will contribute interventions and help design a plan to protect victims and any children, while maintaining an independent role on behalf of your client, keeping the victim and any children’s safety as central to any response.
- Ensure support provided is accessible to clients in terms of location and times.

- Feeds back into action planning to further progress, signpost or close cases and;

Who are we looking for?
Ideal candidates will have a minimum of 4 years’ experience in a communications role (or related field) along with excellent written skills. You will be working to develop press releases and build relations with relevant contacts and journalists and as such we require excellent communication and networking skills. You will have a strong track record of delivering engaging social media content across different channels and audiences to support organisational priorities. Experience of using creative software such as Illustrator, Premiere, Canva and Photoshop will be an advantage as well as possessing basic video editing skills. About the charity: Cavernomas look like raspberries and are found in the brain and spinal cord. They're formed of abnormal blood vessels with thin leaky walls, which can bleed at any age without warning. 1 in 625 people are thought to have a cavernoma, and whilst most people won't experience symptoms 1 in 2,700 do. Symptoms can include haemorrhages, seizures and other neurological problems. Treatment involves 'wait and see', neurosurgery or stereotactic radiosurgery; with no medications currently available.

About the roles: The Member Support Assistant is responsible for assisting our Volunteer Manager with administration relating to the support of the charity’s 4,000 members and volunteers. Are you a creative communicator? Are you able to develop and curate digital content that sparks conversation? Can you guide people to produce impactful products that share stories of our work in an accessible and compelling way? This is an exciting role where you will lead on implementing Elrha’s digital strategy, including overseeing the final stages of our new website and the continued development of our social channels, to help our work reach our key audiences and enhance our voice in the humanitarian community.
In this role you will have the opportunity to oversee the production process of products of all shapes and sizes in line with our digital first approach, making sure everything is true to our brand, connects with our audiences, and is inclusive and accessible to all. You will also use your skills to lead on communication activities for Elrha’s events to showcase the best of our work, and the work of those we fund.
You will be given a high degree of autonomy in your work, so to be successful, you will need to be flexible, bold, and work well in a constantly changing environment. You will have strong organisation skills and experience of managing a varied workload while paying attention to the tiny details.

We’re looking for a Supporter Engagement Assistant with Customer Service experience to join our Central Supporter Engagement Team. The team includes the Supporter Engagement Manager, an Officer, and four other Assistants. What will I be doing?
Not two days are the same at Young Lives vs Cancer. So, summarising your ‘day to day’ isn’t easy. Here are some of the main things you’ll be doing, but you’ll find more details in the job description.
• To listen to our supporters and customers, understanding their motivations and circumstances and providing appropriate, professional and empathetic responses.
• Respond to and resolve supporter and customer requests, via phone, email, web chat and social media, identifying opportunities to deepen engagement and drive income generation.
• As the primary point of contact, provide support to our fundraising teams by assessing the appropriate stewardship for supporters that contact CSET.
• To provide outbound engagement calls, and any associated tasks or requests, to a variety of audiences.
• To support regional volunteer managers with the on-boarding and welcoming of new volunteers to the charity.
• To ensure that supporters’ records are kept up to date with appropriate information, including taking opportunities for scheduling proactive contacts.

About the role
Our passionate Regional Casework Coordinators are SSAFA’s front line of support for members of the armed forces community in need. They are the first point of contact for all beneficiaries into the Regional Office, assessing needs and allocating the case to one of our volunteer caseworkers.
You will sometimes handle complex problems from individuals who may be distressed, identifying the presenting and potential underlying needs to determine the best way to support the beneficiary. You will have ownership of cases from beginning to end, coordinating the casework process in a timely manner and ensure that the beneficiary journey is at the centre of the Service. You will have the opportunity to shape processes and procedures within the office which will lead to improvements in the service offered to clients.
To help you establish yourself in this new post you will receive excellent training and induction to SSAFA.
Whilst the post is homebased, to be eligible for this role you are required to live in the South East region, which includes: Berkshire, Buckinghamshire, Guernsey, Hampshire, Isle of Wight, Jersey, Kent, Oxfordshire, Surrey, Sussex.
There will be occasional travel around the South East Region and you may be required to travel at short notice for face to face meetings.
About the team
The team work remotely and pride themselves in maintaining a close working bond which ensures the smooth operation of the office. You will work closely with volunteers from the ten SSAFA branches in the South East, supporting them to administer casework for SSAFA beneficiaries. The wider support team includes a Casework Manager and a Regional Operations Support Manager.
About you
To carry out this role successfully you will have a track record of providing welfare advice in key areas such as, housing benefits, debt, disability, mobility or immigration issues. You will have knowledge of safeguarding and GDPR and experience in dealing with sensitive information and people in vulnerable situations. You will be able to provide excellent customer service by telephone, e-mail and face to face. You will have used Microsoft Office 365 to a high standard. It is important that you have experience of planning and managing your own workload, with minimal supervision.
It would be advantageous if you have an understanding of the way of life for today’s Armed Forces, veterans and their families and if you have experience of recruiting and supporting volunteers. An understanding of the voluntary sector and preferably the military charity sector landscape across the South East Region would be valuable.

This is an exciting opportunity to manage the press office for an organisation which in recent years has been at the forefront of some of the biggest news stories in the country, including the Covid Inquiry, ‘Partygate’ and many more.
We are looking for someone who supports our cause of ensuring that the mistakes made in the pandemic are never repeated and has good people skills to work sensitively with those who have been bereaved by Covid-19.
You will be one of a four person staff team working alongside our Directors and over 7,000 members who are all personally bereaved. You will be line managed by our campaign manager.
