The Role
As a Flyer Distributor you will play a crucial role in helping to raise awareness about our services and events within the Enfield community. You will be responsible for disseminating promotional materials such as flyers, brochures, and event announcements to various locations within the Enfield area.
- Distribute promotional materials provided by Age UK Enfield to designated locations across the Enfield area. This may include community centers, libraries, local businesses, healthcare facilities, and other relevant locations.
- Engage with members of the public in a friendly and courteous manner while distributing flyers. Answer any questions they may have about Age UK Enfield's services and provide basic information about upcoming events or initiatives.
- Keep accurate records of the locations visited and the quantity of promotional materials distributed. Report back to the supervisor on to provide updates on distribution progress.
- Act as an ambassador for Age UK Enfield by promoting the organisation's mission, values, and services to the community. Help to increase brand recognition and visibility within the local area.
General Key Skills:
- Ability to work independently without constant supervision.
- Comfortable with walking and standing for long periods in various weather conditions.
- Maintaining professionalism and addressing public inquiries effectively.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality, with a strong sense of responsibility.
Time Commitment
2-4 hours Between 10 am - 2 pm (there are other volunteer opportunities available)
Requirements
A DBS Enhanced check will be required. Training to be provided around safeguarding.

Please note: It is a unpaid position however travel costs and other volunteering expenses will be covered.

Mary Ward Settlement was founded in 1895, and today is a multi-service charity that focuses on empowering people to enrich and transform their lives by offering inclusive education opportunities, legal advice, and community support services. Advancing equality and diversity remains at the heart of Mary Ward Settlement, born from its inception in the Settler’s Movement, and our founder Mary Ward’s vision of ‘equalisation’ for adult learning to open up educational opportunities for all. About the role
The Board of Trustees is an integrated Board, offering strategic oversight and professional expertise across the three charities that make up Mary Ward. The Chair of Mary Ward is more than a conduit between our Board of Trustees and our Senior Management team. The Chair orchestrates support from our trustees which recognises skills and experience, provides guidance and challenge to the management team, and is a visible connector, champion, and leader of our inclusive and warm culture. Our organisation is inquisitive and reflective, excited about learning, committed to community, and our Chair helps us reflect this passion across the group and to our wider community.
Requirements/Person Specification
- Working knowledge of good governance principles
- Strong interpersonal skills grounded in supportive and positive values
- Strong leadership skills including those of diplomacy, influence, and mediating
- General business senior management experience which includes financial understanding, staff management, operational efficiency and effectiveness
- Commitment to a truly inclusive organisation, understanding equality, diversity, and inclusion has a wide application to reach all of our communities we serve.

Our Home-Visiting Service supports families who are experiencing difficulties or suffering stress and who have at least one child under the age of five years.

We are looking for a dynamic and creative individual to join us as a Chair of the Board of Trustees.
The Chair will oversee the strategic direction of Akademi, ensuring that we continue to work to our vision of making South Asian dance a vital part of everyone's creative expression. The new Chair will lead the Board of Trustees in upholding exemplary governance for the organisation's long-term sustainability. Additionally, the Chair will collaborate with the Executive team to develop and execute a strategic plan that aligns with Akademi's charitable objectives.
As an ambassador for Akademi, the Chair will work closely with the Executive team to raise the organisation's profile and strengthen relationships with key stakeholders. They will also play a crucial role in advocating for Akademi across the wider cultural sector.
Working with committed and ambitious staff and Trustee team, this is an exciting opportunity for a visionary leader to support Akademi to deliver tangible impact for freelance artists, program participants, and audiences throughout the UK and internationally.

Remuneration
In compliance with charity law, the role of Chair is not accompanied by any financial remuneration, although reasonable expenses may be claimed.
Duration
3 years renewable for a further 2 by negotiation
Time commitment
- Minimum of 4 board meetings per year
- Up to 4 sub-committee/working group meetings per year
- At least 1 board away day and/or training event each year
- Attendance at Akademi events
- Background reading and preparation as required
- Regular individual meetings with the Joint CEOs
Location
Meetings usually take place in London. There is a provision of virtual/ hybrid meeting as well.

Demelza Charity is seeking high calibre individuals to join our team of Trustees.

Medical expertise to strengthen the clinical strategy delivery and support a multi-disciplinary approach. Your expertise might come from any relevant medical discipline – e.g. paediatrician, critical care, any area of acute medicine.
Are you a senior experienced retailer, familiar with all aspects of maximising profitability and positive customer experience. You will help us to maximise the financial, reputational and PR opportunities of our suite of retail outlets and optimise the model to support growth.
We also seek professionals with experience in technology or data. Your experience might be in IT, applications and systems, cyber security, artificial intelligence, networks and infrastructure. Alternatively you may be
experienced in data protection, data analytics, data governance or digital transformation.
You may have other valuable skills.
Approximate time commitment – a total of three days per quarter minimum.
