War on Want campaigns in the UK to challenge human rights abusing corporations and governments, and hold those responsible for inequality and poverty to account. They publish in-depth research exposing injustice and human rights abuse globally. They work in partnership with grassroots groups, trade unions and workers’ organisations in the Global South. Working closely with the Director of Income & Engagement, your strategies and campaigns will deepen the relationship between War on Want and its individual supporters to both increase participation in their campaigns and grow unrestricted income.

The campaigns you run will acquire, retain, and develop individual supporters using a range of channels both on and offline. The ultimate aim of these activities is to increase the number of active War on Want members who support their work through regular direct debit donations. In addition, you will lead War on Want’s legacy programme and manage the Income & Engagement Assistant to ensure the delivery of first-class supporter care processes and an unbeatable supporter experience.

As individual giving lead, you will join the team at a very exciting time. They have recently launched a new supporter mobilisation strategy to bring transformative growth to our supporter base. This role would be well suited to someone who has worked across a range of channels: tele-marketing, direct mail and digital. You will have a passion for political change and activism!

The starting salary is £46,636 and the role is hybrid working, with one day a month at War on Want’s head office. More in-person days are required on an ad-hoc basis.

The Senior Grants Manager will play a key role in managing the Foundation's grant-making efforts. Supporting grantees over a multi-year journey to helping them achieve their goals, the Senior Grants Manager will need to be an excellent relationship-builder, with a strong knowledge of philanthropy, and a dedication to enhancing impact through effective grant-making.

Key responsibilities

• Grant Management & Compliance: Oversee all stages of the grant lifecycle, ensuring alignment with Foundation guidelines, values, and objectives.

The successful candidate will have a strong level of analytical skills, strong experience of working with a grant management database (The Bloom Foundation uses Blackbaud) and an interest in learning from grant making to inform future practice. You will be an excellent communicator with the ability to present complex information clearly and concisely and the ability to think strategically. You will have good relationship building skills and a high level of diplomacy and able to deliver in a fast-paced environment. You will be proficient in office software packages, including MS Office and Excel and confident working accurately with figures.

The successful candidate will be a collaborative team player. You will be interested in and committed to contributing to the overall success of a small and highly motivated organisation with a versatile and flexible approach and a "can do" attitude.

The role is based in a modern, vibrant office in Camden on the canal. You will initially work 4 days a week in the office with 1 day from home. Following a successful probation period, your working pattern will be a minimum of 3 days in the office with 2 days from home. There will be some evening events, and some travel involved nationally to visit grantees. Home and Well is a project developed by Citizens Advice Hampshire, in partnership with a range of other agencies, and has been running successfully over the last year. Building on this success, Citizens Advice East Hampshire is looking to recruit an adviser to support vulnerable people at risk of hospitalisation and support for those in the Petersfield Hospital and in the community.

The position of Home and Well Adviser is offered on a fixed-term contract to the end of March 2026 The role is part-time, 20 hours a week with a requirement to attend Petersfield Hospital at least once a week.  Training will be provided for the right candidate.  As this involves working with vulnerable members of the community, a DBS check will be required.

The role will also support people with Priority Services Registration, providing initial financial assessments, introducing them to utility company payment schemes, giving fuel poverty advice, and related support. You will have excellent communication and IT skills, be able to collate statistics, manage your targets and develop working relationships effectively. Full training will be provided for the right candidate.

About the Role

As Head of Business Support, you will provide expert advice, guidance and reporting to ensure that Solace Women’s Aid meets it’s statutory responsibilities with regards to health and safety, as well as providing innovative solutions to existing issues and ensuring that future changes are anticipated.

Acting as subject matter expert you will develop systems and processes for services to adopt to ensure we have an effective risk management approach to compliance within Solace Women’s Aid.

Through management of the Business Support Team, you will ensure all properties/spaces used by the organisation remain safe and equipped to deliver psychologically informed spaces for our staff and service users.

About You

You will be experienced in the field of property management having worked in a similar setting before. You will bring a wealth of knowledge surrounding best practice based on your own practical experience and you will have achieved, or be working towards your Chartered IOSH status.

You will work well with diverse teams and be a strong people manager, keen to foster talent from within.

You will be passionate about meeting the needs of our service users and will have a can do attitude.
