PFP is a UK-based charity working in Africa and Asia since 2004, and this year we are celebrating our 20th anniversary. Our Mission is to work together with local people and filmmakers to produce, distribute and show local language educational films that give help and hope to vulnerable and disadvantaged communities. Our latest activities have primarily focused on Malawi, Sierra Leone and Kenya.
Every PFP film seeks to bring about positive change by engaging audiences with themes, characters and subjects that address important challenges facing themselves and their communities.

Primary responsibilities
- Attend and contribute to quarterly Board meetings and work with the Trustees and Directors in advancing PFP’s vision, mission, and strategic goals.
- Deliver and develop PFP’s communications strategy. This includes: working with our executive team to produce supporter newsletters and build our supporter network; developing our social media strategy, and supporting our Administrator in its implementation; and producing press releases.
- Maintain and develop our Wordpress website.
- Proactively seek fundraising opportunities.
- Contribute to the effective governance of PFP, including: ensuring PFP is accountable and carrying out its purpose for public benefit; ensuring compliance with the governing document and applicable law; and challenging the management of resources and ensuring financial stability.
- Act as an ambassador and public representative for PFP.

- Collate content for, prepare and publish the monthly volunteer newsletter through MailChimp
- Identify and engage with key social influencers to create beneficial relationships and strong networks and grow the ADC brand
- Perform social listening across all social platforms by monitoring and responding to relevant brand mentions and identifying opportunities for engaging in related topics/discussions
- Define social media KPIs, measure and optimize social media performance metrics, and develop enhanced reporting

Knowledge, Skills, and Experience
Essential
- 3+ years of experience in social and content management
- Experience using MailChimp or similar software

What we are looking for (team needs)
We are looking for a highly motivated Content Creator to play a leading role in creating all social media content for Now-U. Successful applicants will likely be passionate about all things digital and looking to use their skills to help rapidly grow an audience, build a strong brand and drive engagement with social and environmental causes.
We are looking for someone confident in creating appealing visual assets, drafting compelling copy and scheduling regular posts across social media platforms including Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, X (formerly Twitter), YouTube and TikTok. Professional experience in social media marketing as well as graphic design, video creation and / or copywriting is likely to be beneficial, but is not required. Familiarity with analytics tools in order to assess the success of posts and iterate future posting to improve engagement is also desirable.
It will be a hands-on role working in a small volunteer team on a wide range of charitable campaigns and initiatives. Successful applicants will be comfortable working alone and/or in a team on projects, and willing to support the marketing team with a wider set of activities including developing team strategy and identifying new opportunities.
We hope whoever joins in this role will become a core part of the marketing team and stay at now-u for at least 6 months, if not longer. We are looking to appoint two more trustees to the board of The Harmony Project this Autumn.
Our Trustees play a vital role in making sure that The Harmony Project achieves its core purpose of transforming education and putting sustainability and nature at the heart of learning. They oversee the overall management and administration of the charity. They also ensure that The Harmony Project has a clear strategy and that our delivery plan is in line with our vision.
We are keen to recruit individuals who have:

- Professional experience and networks in any of the following areas:
- Marketing, digital marketing, educational marketing, educational business development
- Fundraising from Ultra High Net-Worth Individuals (UHNWI)

- A willingness to learn the ropes of charity trusteeship, if this might be the first time of serving on a charity Board
- Capacity to attend 3 Board meetings per year and 3 informal meetings per year.
About The Harmony Project
We are a small UK registered charity. We began life in 2019 within the charity the Sustainable Food Trust. We received our charitable status in November 2022 and became a fully separate charity on 1st April 2023.
We have a core team of 6 staff, and a team of freelance writers and designers. We have an annual turnover of c. £400k. Some of the team are based in Surrey, and others are based around the UK. We are a passionate, friendly and supportive team.
Our goal is to transform education by putting sustainability and nature at the heart of learning and to see the principles of Harmony woven into the education of all pupils, both in the UK and globally. Our enquiry-based approach to learning balances academic rigour with meaningful application to the world. We support schools in adopting this approach to learning through training, teaching and learning resources and events. We work to influence education policy at a strategic level through high level networks, and we promote our ethos through our marketing and social media channels.
To date our Board has had 4 members, and we are keen to grow to 6, to allow for natural cycles of change and to ensure the Board remains a healthy size. The initial term is 3 years with a further 3 years possible.
