· Demonstrable ability to develop a comprehensive social media strategy that includes planning, creating, scheduling and monitoring of impactful campaigns on across social platform that drive engagement with Bliss’ services, fundraising, advocacy and brand.
· Ability to collaborate closely with teams across the organisation to conceptualise and create compelling reels, short-form videos and other multimedia content to engage our audiences
· The experience in running paid social media advertising campaigns to meet specific objectives, as and when required.
· Ability to respond to messages and comments on social platforms in a supportive tone of voice always keeping in mind the sensitivities of our audiences and being alert to any messages that might be offensive or triggering or a potential risk to reputation.

Myeloma Patients Europe (MPE) is offering an exciting position as Communications Manager (Digital and Social Media) in a dynamic European non-profit patient advocacy organisation. This role will help deliver the MPE communications strategy, providing both strategic and operational support across the organisation, and ensuring that MPE is increasing our reach and impact to improve the lives and experiences of myeloma patients.
As Communications Manager (Digital and Social Media), you will work with the Head of Communications and other key staff across to the organisation to:
- Implement MPE communications strategy, monitor and improve MPE reach, and increase impact with key stakeholders
- Develop and disseminate strong and relevant messaging for key stakeholders
- Monitor and evaluate our performance and reach across digital and social communications channels
This will include working on the following core activities and tasks:
Digital communications (40%)
- Writing, editing and updating content for the MPE website (i.e. using WordPress, Elementor and other content management systems)
- Developing written and graphic content for MPE programme specific websites (such as MPE Navigator and Myeloma Access Atlas)
- Collaborating with relevant MPE staff on digital content development and publication
- Designing educational and promotional materials including leaflets, reports, patient materials, campaign materials and social media adverts/cards/images
- Supporting the Head of Communications with the development and management of monthly E-newsletter content, webinars and other relevant communications activities
- Developing multi-media communications campaigns
Social media (40%)
- Leading MPE social media and content planning, maintaining and developing our content so that it engages our audiences, supports our messaging and strategic goals
- Managing MPE social media sites – LinkedIn, Facebook, etc, monitoring and advising on ways to increase reach
- Developing an annual content calendar reflecting significant internal and external events
Video filming and editing (15%)
- Supporting development of interview content with stakeholders (such as doctors, patients and other stakeholders)
- Video filming at various events, including medical congresses and the MPE Annual Masterclass

About you:
Essential
- Minimum of four years of relevant professional experience in communications role or equivalent
- Demonstrable experience of writing and developing communications content , social media posts, news stories and articles (this will be tested at interview)
- Experience of stakeholder engagement and increasing reach of an organisation via communications channels
- Ability to explain and communicate complex topics to diverse and lay audiences
- Basic digital design skills
- Excellence in writing, proofreading and editing in English. The ideal candidate will be a native English speaker
- Editorial and storytelling skills
- Strong knowledge of social media channels and ability to use analytics tools
- Experience using WordPress and/or other content management systems
- Self-motivating, flexible approach and ability to work with an international team in a virtual setting
Desirable
- Relevant degree in communications, English or comparable

The Role
Reports to: Chief Operations Officer
Role Purpose
The Social Media Officer will play a crucial role in enhancing Dialogue Earth’s digital presence by implementing a dynamic and evolving social media strategy. Working closely with the Social Media Content Creator and international team members, the post-holder will ensure content is disseminated effectively across various platforms, with a strong focus on audience engagement and alignment with audience personas. They will also be responsible for developing campaigns, overseeing social media analytics, and presenting insights in engaging ways to support the organisation’s mission of promoting awareness and dialogue on environmental and climate change issues.
Main Responsibilities
- Collaborate closely with the Social Media Content Creator to develop and implement Dialogue Earth’s evolving global social media strategy.
- Work with Dialogue Earth’s editorial teams in the UK, China, South Asia, Latin America, and Southeast Asia to promote content effectively and innovatively on platforms, including Bluesky, X, WhatsApp, Facebook, LinkedIn, and others as needed.
- Oversee and guide the work of the part-time Social Media Officer in Southeast Asia by providing task management and feedback.
- In partnership with the Social Media Content Creator, develop and manage campaigns, such as thematic weeks and awareness initiatives.
- Collaborate with the editorial and social media teams to produce audience-centric social media content, ensuring alignment with established audience personas and continuously improving dissemination strategies.

Further Information and Benefits
- Salary: £36,035.70 per annum.
- Working Hours: 32 hours per week from 9am-6pm. We offer a four-day working week, with full-time pay.
- Contract Type: 12 months, with a view to renewal.
- Hybrid Working: Staff must attend the office at least two days per week. Attendance is mandatory on Tuesdays and staff can choose which other day(s) they attend.

As an independent funder, the charity generates income from its endowment, which includes substantial property holdings and financial investments. This means it does not fund raise. To date, the organisation has awarded over £225 million in grants to a range of organisations that seek to promote the life chances of children and young people through Education, with around £15 million in grants distributed each year. The role:

Using the latest platforms and technology such as Canva and InDesign, this role will help tell the important stories which emanate from the work of the charity, including publicising events, raising awareness and addressing interesting themes relevant to the work of the Charity and its community.
This role will also monitor and evaluate online engagement and will ensure there is a vibrant, creative and relevant tone across all platforms and mediums. They will also contribute to maintaining the website and newsletter, gathering stories from across the Charity’s networks and ensuring it is accessible and up to date with current affairs and events. Working closely with the Communications, Events and PR Manager, this person will be responsible for identifying opportunities to repurpose and amplify content across multiple channels to ensure the Charity’s media presence is maintained and enhanced both on a local, London wide and National basis.
Beyond digital communications, this role will support a busy calendar of events throughout the year, managing logistics from planning to execution, including navigation lists, booking venues, catering arrangements and on the day support and facilitation. This is a wide-ranging communications role with plenty of scope for development and growth, with the flexibility to be tailored to the strengths and interests of the postholder.
In addition to working for Charity, the post holder will also support the COO of the foundation in its newly developing communications work. This will require working across 2 schools, and the Charity in collaboration with the communications teams across the Foundation.
The person:
The successful candidate will have demonstrated experience in a similar social media or digital communications role, ideally within the charity or not-for-profit sector but equally having come from a commercial setting, where an active interest in charitable work can be clearly evidenced. Bright, engaging and intellectually curious, this person will have a natural enthusiasm for the work of the charity and the desire to be an active member of an office-based team, all working towards the same goals.
An outstanding communicator both in person verbally and in writing, this person will have a proven track record of running digital communications activities and social media campaigns and will be proficient in design tools such as Canva, InDesign, Photoshop and PowerPoint, although training can be given where necessary. The ability to tailor the tone of content for various platforms and to appeal to a wide range of audiences, both locally, London wide and nationally will be important.
The desire to learn new skills will be strongly evident in this person, they will relish the thought of collaborating with colleagues to grow their expertise and to share ideas on how to optimise delivery across the digital and social media space. Highly organised, with excellent attention to detail, this person will be a strategic thinker with the ability to plan ahead and to spot opportunities further down the line to maximise the impact and reach of charity’s work. A working knowledge of WordPress and website management will be very useful but not essential.

We are looking for an organised, enthusiastic, and experienced Digital Marketing Executive with a passion for social media and marketing to join the Spread a Smile team.
Reporting to the Head of Marketing, you will help to deliver our marketing strategies and day-to-day output across our digital platforms including social media, website and e-comms and our Smile TV online viewing channel for families.
You will play a key role driving social media growth with responsibility for developing and posting creative content and managing interactions across our social media platforms, ensuring that we remain consistent in terms of brand and tone. You will provide marketing support across the Fundraising and Services team, including producing marketing/fundraising materials and literature, appeals and events collateral (services and fundraising related), case stories, PR activity, and supporting management of our photo / film libraries and brand.
