About the role

You will be based in the North East and as a key part of our schools team, help to lead, support and advise the regional team of school Pathways Coordinators, embedding the MCR programme in schools in the region.  You’ll need to be highly motivated to ensure that all care-experienced young people and those experiencing disadvantage are supported to find, grow and use their individual talents and that their education, employment choices and life changes outcomes are maximised.

Key responsibilities:

• Provide support, development, training, management and motivation to MCR staff in schools

• Support school integration of the programme and a consistently high quality standard of programme delivery

• Develop and support partnerships with the Local Councils, further and higher education institutions, local business and all MCR stakeholders

As Training Officer, you will:

Be responsible for planning and delivering training and awareness-raising activities in relation to victims of crime in the Thames Valley.

You will deliver these to a range of audiences including Thames Valley Police, Criminal Justice agencies, educational facilities, community groups, and other statutory agencies and third sector organisations. Each training session will be tailored to your audience and some examples of training topics you will be focusing on are:

• Victim awareness (barriers to support, information on the Victims Code, promoting empathy and sensitivity etc.).
• Sexual Violence awareness
• Modern Slavery and Exploitation

The training will be delivered under the Thames Valley Victims First brand and you will spread awareness of how support can be accessed and what is available through your sessions.

You will lead on developing this new content for training in collaboration with the Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner for Thames Valley. You will be consulting with stakeholders on their training needs and mapping emerging areas where further input is required. As part of the role, you will be responsible for developing the range of training programmes and keeping training materials up to date. You will maximise the use of social media accounts for training and will attend events and presentations to engage the local community and increase their knowledge on support for victims of crime. You will also work alongside both the RJ facilitator and volunteers in this area.

You will need to be able to work flexibly to accommodate the training requirements as well as experience of delivering presentations and structured training programmes and talks to a range of audiences. You will need to be IT literate and be effective with your communication.

This role involves regular travel and due to the location, a driving license and access to a vehicle is considered an essential requirement. If you are unable to drive because of a disability please indicate this in your application in your personal statement so we can explore the feasibility of alternative arrangements. Travel will be required regularly across the Thames Valley in order to facilitate training development and delivery. Our day centre service is currently open three days per-week offering respite, food and somewhere safe to be for anyone facing street homelessness. It provides advocacy and casework services to those who are vulnerably housed or homeless, supporting them to address their individual crisis and the underlying causes. We also provide a small year-round night shelter provision. 

APAP works in close partnership with a number of key agencies locally including drug and alcohol teams, street outreach services, local authority housing teams and the wider VCS. We are a gateway service in the community through which our clients can access a range of support. 

This role will require a keen interest in homelessness and the devastating impact this can have on people. This is a new role which would suit someone with experience of recruiting and managing volunteers. The role will entail expanding our volunteer base, developing processes and procedures to effectively support them and managing them on site. The role will report to the Senior Project Worker.

About the project 

The proposed service Kineara aims to provide is a Community-Based Housing Advice and Support Service for lone parents living in TA (Temporary Accommodation) and to provide a prevented service that advice and support lone parents living in PRS and social rented accommodation, where their tenancies is insecure.

This service will address urgent housing concerns, provide essential advice, and offer tailored, intensive support for those with complex needs. The project will focus on delivering maximum reach through our outreach while maintaining smaller 1:1 caseload for high-needs cases.

About the role 

We are looking for an experienced, motivated and compassionate community -based housing advice and support worker. This role involves conducting community drop- in surgeries which will be delivered across Lambeth Schools, Children’s Centres, Community Groups, GP practices and

Housing Advice Surgeries offering face-to-face housing advice, legal support (where necessary), and signposting to additional service.

You will have experience of working with families and individuals with complex needs. You will be an enthusiastic person who has empathy, patience, and a non-judgmental approach to working with clients and who thrives when working independently with a passion to support change. You will have excellent interpersonal skills, knowledge of housing policies and tenants' rights, experience of delivering holistic support, be a solution-minded thinker, have a good understanding of strength-based approaches and be able work committing to promoting equality, diversity and inclusion in all aspects of work. To work as part of a team and independently, the roles require you to think creatively and use the resources around you effectively. 

Strong partnerships will be essential to the project’s success. Building on relationships developed through the Homeward consortium, you will work closely with local schools, Lambeth Council, children’s centres, community organisations, and legal advisors to ensure meaningful signposting and wraparound support for families.

The successful candidate will work with clients to identify their needs and offer tailored solutions to help them achieve sustainable housing outcomes. In this role, you will be working in partnership with community organisations and the council to coordinate tailored support for each client to address their housing issues. The objective of the programme is to provide advice and support to clients who have problems related to their housing and to improve wellbeing and awareness of tenancy rights and housing polices.

About Kineara 

Kineara is a unique community interest company and Charity that supports people in poverty across London who facing barriers to housing, employment and education. We break down barriers, provide holistic support for families, vulnerable adults, and school pupils, and deliver intensive one-to-one interventions to those in need of extra help through challenging times. We use holistic, trauma-informed methods, partnership working and a flexible, non-judgemental approach that puts the needs of those we work with first. 

To be successful in this role, you will be a motivated, flexible individual, who is passionate about working with young people around their sexual health. The postholder will conduct outreach, education, and training in several settings depending on the need of different young people. These could be educational settings, youth settings, community events, sports settings, clubs and pubs. You will target vulnerable young people, such as Looked after Children (LAC), those who are Not in Education, Employment, or Training (NEET), those who come from areas of high deprivation and high need, and those with other increased risk factors, as well as young people aged 13-15 who are not yet able to access online services. 

 As part of your frontline work, you will encourage young people to sign up for a C-card, and if aged over 16, register to Get It in order to order condoms and lube from the website. When appropriate, you will refer young people into appropriate local sexual health services for contraception, emergency contraception, pregnancy testing, STI screening and treatment.

Programme

METRO work closely with our partner Spectra to deliver sexual health services in the London Boroughs of Wandsworth, Richmond, Merton and Kingston. In these Boroughs, METRO deliver the Come Correct free condom scheme (C-card), the National Chlamydia Screening Programme (NCSP) as well as Get It, an online scheme which offers condoms, lube, Chlamydia and Gonorrhoea screens.

METRO also delivers training and education, aimed at both young people and professionals working with young people, as well as community outreach and engagement to reach young people directly- particularly those who are most vulnerable to sexual ill health.

About the role:

The Digital Officer is a key member of the Marketing and Digital team. We are a friendly, creative, and supportive team, responsible for raising awareness and growing the brand of The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity, as well as our website, email, social, direct mail, paid advertising and more. As Digital Officer you'll work closely with Marketing and digital colleagues, as well as fundraising teams across the organisation. To be successful in your application you'll need:

• Professional experience using CMS (Content Management Systems) and knowledge of website management, on-page and technical SEO and digital best practice. Knowledge of UX is desirable but not essential.
• Experience using data tools, such as Google Analytics for reporting and identifying actionable insights.
• Excellent copywriting, editorial and proofreading skills.
• Experience in writing for the web or digital channels and creating content tailored to a variety of audiences.
• Ability to communicate, work collaboratively and build good working relationships.

Job Purpose:

• Manage the digital assets of Islamic Relief UK, particularly the website, ensuring that it operates in an optimal manner.

Mind in Camden has the exciting permanent opportunity to recruit people to work on our leading Hearing Voices Projects.

We are seeking a motivated and experienced individual to take responsibility for the day-to-day work of our innovative Hearing Voices Projects. To be successful in this role, you need to have an in-depth understanding of the Hearing Voices Movement and the role of peer support groups within this. You will ideally have experience of supervising or mentoring volunteers and some project management experience.

With the confidence and organisational skills necessary to take the lead on busy and diverse projects, you will be required to engage with a wide range of stakeholders (from the adult mental health, prison, forensic and youth sectors). As such, this role is best suited to someone who is flexible enough to modify their approach to suit the situation.

We are looking for someone with strong facilitation skills who is able to deliver and design training that communicates the values of the Hearing Voices Network clearly and accessibly.

Among other tasks, you will be required to:

• Oversee the current Hearing Voices Projects to ensure they are consistent and embody the Mind in Camden and Hearing Voices Movement ethos.
• Be part of some of the frontline work, including facilitating groups.
• Build networks and deliver training sessions for the Hearing Voices Projects.
• Liaise with the finance department and ensure the projects are meeting targets for funders.
• Support relevant data monitoring and evaluation on the projects.

Our day centre service is currently open three days per-week offering respite, food and somewhere safe to be for anyone facing street homelessness. It provides advocacy and casework services to those who are vulnerably housed or homeless, supporting them to address their individual crisis and the underlying causes. We also provide a small year round night shelter provision. 

APAP works in close partnership with a number of key agencies locally including drug and alcohol teams, street outreach services, local authority housing teams and the wider VCS. We are a gateway service in the community through which our clients can access a range of support. 

The Community Fundraising and Partnerships Coordinator will be responsible for developing and nurturing relationships within the local community to support APAP’s fundraising efforts, including schools, local businesses, faith and community groups. A key feature of this role will be developing increased year-round community engagement and fundraising, leading into the planning and delivery of at least one annual fundraising campaign. The Royal Hospital Chelsea, home of the iconic Chelsea Pensioners since 1692, is seeking a Marketing Manager to help raise public awareness and support for the organisation, including increasing footfall to our year-round site tours and events programme, to help meet its core objectives. 

The successful candidate will have a strategic mindset and proven experience of managing impactful multi-channel campaigns for a respected national institution, ideally in the cultural, charity, military or public sectors. You'll be responsible for marketing a wide range of projects including the recently opened Soane Stable Yard, which is open to the public 7 days a week, working with our partners to promote the Chelsea Heritage Quarter, and further afield with the launch of our Veterans' Outreach programme.

We are looking for a proactive and creative marketing professional with at least five years’ experience marketing key initiatives for a recognised public institution or national brand. You’ll be hands-on, and equally comfortable planning campaigns and creating content yourself, with an excellent editorial eye across our different channels and a strong understanding of what drives public engagement.

You must be:

• A proactive strategist and executor, who is experienced in marketing a wide range of projects including ideally events to the public.
• Skilled in creating compelling marketing content across our owned channels.
• Experience of delivering effective advertising campaigns including liaising with suppliers, designers, photographers etc.
• An experienced marketeer - and experience of working in a cultural, charity, military or public organisation would be particularly desirable.

Do you want to work with multiple award-winning charity, FoodCycle? As Regional Manager you will represent, manage and co-ordinate FoodCycle for your allocated regional Projects. Our Projects are spaces where volunteers are empowered to run their own community meals using surplus food.​

You will manage local relationships with supermarkets, volunteer recruitment channels and venues to enable this to happen. As an excellent communicator, you will manage the volunteers at each Project ensuring they are trained, supported and on-message with FoodCycle strategy, ensuring that volunteers are confident enough to self-organise and make a success of their Projects.​

You will have experience of programme planning and delivery, and working with volunteers. You will be experienced in building relationships with a range of stakeholders, and be passionate about food and cooking.​

There will be frequent travel to our projects in the North East, with some evening and weekend work needed to cover our projects. A full driving license and access to a vehicle for work purposes is essential for this rewarding role.​
