Main Duties and Responsibilities

· Proactively establish and nurture a network of businesses, residents, community organisations, and individuals who will contribute time, money, skills, opportunities and connections to ensure a sustainable Giving model for Lewisham.
· Commission or carry out research as necessary to understand unmet need and inform plans to maximise impact.
· Further develop the giving model for Lewisham through co-design with residents and other relevant agencies and monitor and report on their impact.

The Anglican Communion Office (ACO) is pleased to be exclusively partnering with Robertson Bell in their search for a Director of Finance to join their team on a permanent basis. Founded in 1968, the ACO is the permanent Secretariat for the Instruments of Communion and supports the Anglican Communion in over 165 countries around the world.
The Director of Finance role presents an exciting opportunity to manage and create a finance team that will support the Anglican Communion, whilst also being a key member of the senior management team. You will lead and direct the Anglican Communion’s financial strategy and management, ensure commercial planning, delivery and evaluation in all areas of ACO activity, whilst also providing financial management and administration for two related charities: the Anglican Alliance and the Anglican Centre in Rome.

The ACO facilitates the work of the Archbishop of Canterbury and supports global ministries, including mission, advocacy, ecumenical relationships, and social justice efforts. The role:
- Lead on the development and execution of financial strategy, financial planning, budgeting and cost control for the ACO and related charities.
- Key advisor to the Secretary General, management team and trustees on the overall financial landscape for the ACO and its on-going performance and position.
- Manage and continuously improve the efficient running of financial operations including the preparation of management accounts, cash flow forecasts, payroll, tax returns, and management of creditors and debtors.
- Ensure that an adequate control framework exists.

The successful candidate will have:
- Ideally, understanding and knowledge of the UK charity finance environment.
- Experience in budgeting and cost control, including provision of reports and analysis to an audience with different levels of financial literacy.
- Strong financial leadership skills capable of directing financial strategy and delivering highest quality financial management.
- Experience in working with diverse stakeholders both within and outside an organisation

SignHealth is partnering exclusively with Robertson Bell to recruit a Credit Controller on a permanent, full-time basis. SignHealth aims to improve healthcare and access to health services for deaf people. As well as campaigning, research and health promotion, we provide supported living schemes and outreach for deaf people with mental health problems. We provide a national Advocacy and Counselling service and support for deaf victims of domestic abuse.
This role will be responsible for the collection of service contract debtors, as well as care fees from self-funding and local government authority residents. The role will interact with a wide range of stakeholders and will deliver excellent customer service – working proactively to reduce any barriers to debt collection and to improving SignHealth’s debt collection processes at a time the organisation is forecast to grow rapidly and significantly.
The key responsibilities of this Credit Controller role include:
- Raise all sales invoices (recurring and ad hoc), for SignHealth in an accurate and timely manner.
- Work with the Accountant and Head of Finance to develop and maintain accurate invoicing schedules.
- Work with colleagues across SignHealth to ensure that accurate invoices are raised – e.g. to account for changes in service delivery
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and other stakeholders to ensure prompt payment and resolution of billing disputes
- Proactively chase outstanding debts through telephone calls, emails and letters
- Perform monthly sales ledger reconciliations and check for anomalies, work with other finance team members to reconcile statements to the accounts
- Provide regular debtor status reports to the Accountant and Head of Finance – contribute to the development of management information for ELT including the cash flow forecast and debtor aging – as well as drafting written commentary for the management accounts
- Maintain accurate contact and contract information for all customers
- Contribute to the development and implementation of process improvements and recommend internal process improvements

Strategic, leadership and management

Provide leadership for fundraising and income generation across the TSA team. Attend regular strategy meetings and be a leading voice in shaping the TSA’s income generation activities

Our expert team of canine behaviourists provide behavioural support and advice to teams within Battersea, members of the public, and the rescue organisations we work with around the world. The team design and help implement behaviour modification and training plans for dogs whilst coaching members of the canine care groups through the practical day-to-day steps. They also assist with behavioural and welfare assessments of animals who come into our centres and are on hand to help manage and provide further support with dogs with more complex behavioural needs. The team provide support to dogs during their stay at Battersea, and are also available for continued advice after rehoming.
We are now looking to recruit a Canine Behaviour and Training Advisor for our team in Old Windsor. Within this role, you will work with our operational teams in the assessment and welfare of the dogs in our care and in the provision of behavioural training and advice for staff, volunteers, customers and external organisations. You will be working as part of a care group to create behaviour modification plans, support with handling difficult dogs and make recommendations, along with the individual care group, for individual dog outcomes.
