Background:
Every three minutes someone in the UK develops dementia: a progressive and complex condition that can be devastating for the whole family. One in two of us will be affected by dementia in our lifetime – either by caring for someone with the condition, developing it ourselves, or both.
Dementia UK is the specialist dementia nursing charity that is there for the whole family. Our specialist nurses, known as Admiral Nurses, provide free, expert advice, support and understanding to help families care for their loved one. Every day, Admiral Nurses help families up and down the country to have the best life possible, for as long as possible.
Purpose of the job/About the role
Join our Delivered Services team as an Admiral Nurse and bring your specialist dementia nursing expertise to support family carers, people affected by dementia, and professionals who require specialist advice. You’ll be a key member of our team, providing biopsychosocial support through our National Dementia Helpline and Virtual Clinic appointments.
In addition to your core responsibilities, you’ll have the opportunity to lead and support other clinical projects across the charity, benefit from monthly clinical supervision, and participate in a range of learning opportunities to support your ongoing professional development.
As an Admiral Nurse, you’ll be responsible for providing nursing support and expertise, offering practical guidance to colleagues, the general public, those with dementia, and others in supporting family and relationship-centered approaches to dementia care. You’ll also lead and coordinate shifts as required, providing clinical supervision to others and assist with the development, evaluation, audit of the service.
To be successful in this position, you’ll need to be an active Registered Nurse on the NMC register with a post-registration qualification or training in dementia care or a relevant subject. You will have significant experience of practicing as an Admiral Nurse or dementia specialist nurse and previously worked with people who have dementia and their family, carer and supporters in different settings.
Strong communication skills are essential, as is a proven track record of providing high standards of clinical leadership and specialist nursing support. You should be adept at providing clinical advice, clinical supervision, and advocating for family carers.

The role of Office Coordinator is essential to the efficient and effective day-to-day work of the organisation, ensuring the team are well equipped to successfully carry out their roles and helping the organisation to support the optimum number of young people to the highest possible quality. About the role
You will:
-Provide direct advocacy support to children and young people with disabilities, in and on the edges of the care system. You will hold a caseload, and be committed to championing the rights of these young people, working with a broad range of other stakeholders and agencies to do so.
-Support with developing the quality of services and projects delivered by Coram Voice to children and young people. This includes under Coram Voice’s Disability Outreach Project. It is an exciting time to join this project, which has recently expanded to include educational advocacy in addition to social care focused advocacy.
-You will support in the promotion of good practice across both Coram Voice and external organisations, building equitable and inclusive practice across the sector for children and young people with disabilities.
Our advocates will have relevant experience with children and young people, and may hold a suitable Advocacy Qualification. Helping Carers to Live Well is our organisational aim. We provide a targeted service to young carers, aged 5 – 18 years. Almshouse Manager: circa £34,000
36.5 hours per week – over an average of 3 days per week, Monday to Saturday, plus up to one hour on alternate Sunday mornings, over a two-week period on a rota basis. Each day’s work will commence at 09:00 hours and finish at 21:00* hours with a break at lunch time and a break in the evening. This also provides flexibility for a daily check-in / on-call hour on 3 non-working days.
• Oversee appointments of potential Almshouse residents, carrying out interviews and ensuring effective support to new residents as they settle into their home
• Provide line management to the warden, ensuring all mandatory and other training is completed and in place
• Encourage and promote inclusive opportunities for residents’ engagement and feedback
• Work with the Property Manager to manage the Almshouse budgets
• Offer advice and support to residents in response to problems and queries as the need arises
• Authorise minor or emergency repairs to the almshouses as necessary and report these to the Property Manager.
• Maintain close contact with others who support the residents such as family members, carers, nurses and social workers
• Provide lunch in the residents’ lounge once a month and other social activities as planned

JOB PURPOSE

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Neighbourhood Services Officer who understands effective management of neighbourhood services and contractors to join our small, but supportive, Housing & Neighbourhoods Team working on all aspects of Neighbourhood and Estates. Overview
Energise Africa is at an exciting and pivotal time in its development. We are currently recruiting a Commercial Director to drive the business as it looks to scale. Energise Africa has been founded and incubated by two of the leading direct impact investing platforms in Europe, Ethex in the UK and Lendahand in the Netherlands and backed by incredible supporters such as UKAid and P4G. Since 2017, during this seed stage, Energise Africa has raised over £35m from UK retail investors to accelerate energy access in Sub–Saharan Africa and has won numerous awards including the UN Climate Action award for climate friendly investments.
As we get ready to take on new investment, and expand into new geographies and sectors, it is time for the organisation to build a new dedicated team.
Commercial Director
To take our business to the next level we need a dedicated Commercial Director to help accelerate our growth.
There are four key strands to the role:
Strategy and New Business
· Work alongside the CEO to develop the growth strategy for Energise Africa
· Managing existing and develop new origination partnerships to bring new issuers to the platform
· Lead the EA origination efforts and structure proposed transactions
· Work alongside our operations team to ensure efficient processes are developed and implemented to ensure smooth onboarding of new investees
· Work alongside our marketing team to ensure that origination partners and investees give us the information that they need to effectively promote investment opportunities
· Drafting and negotiation of agreements with origination partners and prospective investees
· Lead the due diligence process, present cases to the Investment Committee and onboard new investees
· Manage existing and explore new co-financing partnerships
Investee Management
· Demonstrate excellent relationship management with our origination partners and investees.
· Monitor and manage the investment portfolio along with our origination partners.
· Manage workout situations and restructuring of clients in arrears with support from the legal team and origination partners.
Leadership
· As a key member of the Energise Africa Senior Management Team, help to build the investment strategy for Energise Africa and to deliver against agreed objectives.
Product Development
· Cooperate in product development which may involve different currency solutions, guarantees and de-risking projects as well as looking at innovative financing structures.
· Support the development of new tools and technology to make the investment process more efficient.
Reports to: CEO Energise Africa
Key skills and experience:
· A passion for sustainable development/impact investing or similar.
· 5 years of experience in impact investing (debt or equity) or corporate lending in emerging markets and/or in renewable energy or climate finance sectors.
· Experience of helping to scale a start-up and/or entrepreneurship within a company.
· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
· Great negotiation skills - cooperative, empathetic and get the deals closed.
· Excellent communication skills and the ability to represent EA at the highest levels.
· Fluent in English and ideally French or Spanish, both written and spoken.
· Willing to travel internationally (global emerging/frontier markets and European countries).
· Tech-savvy and proven experience with data-driven investment decisions.

Programme
The METRO Parenting Support Programme is part of the Young Greenwich Partnership, delivering a new integrated programme commissioned by the Royal Borough of Greenwich. The essential purpose of the Young Greenwich programme is to enable young people to develop holistically, working with them to facilitate their personal, social and educational aspirations to develop their voice and reach their full potential. The programme is led by NHS Oxleas Foundation Trust (Oxleas) and delivered with Charlton Athletic Community Trust (CACT) partners, who, together with METRO, form the Young Greenwich Partnership.
The METRO Parenting Support Programme delivers coaching, group work, mentoring and counselling designed to help parents of teenagers achieve their health and wellbeing goals. This, in
turn, will allow us to achieve goals for parents and children and young people as part of the wider Young Greenwich programme.
Role
The role will include working with parents one-to-one and in groups to identify goals around improving confidence and wellbeing and using mentoring and coaching tools and techniques to help support parenting skills development. Topics will include understanding the developmental needs of teenage children, managing challenging behaviour, and looking after your health and wellbeing.
