About the Role
You will be taking on the line management of our community services, which currently includes our fostering service, our leaving care service and our internal staffing agency (Mobile Team) but this may be subject to change in the future.
As the Head of Community Services, you will:
- Provide strategic and operational leadership, acting as the RI if relevant, ensuring the quality of services.
- Develop and shape the services as part of the Care portfolio
- Act as the community services lead within the Care division, working alongside the other Heads of Service
- Contribute to the development of the wider care services strategy and delivery
- Ensure that all legal, contractual, safeguarding, regulatory and care standards and requirements are adhered to on a continuous improvement basis

To perform well in this role, you’ll need:
- Minimum of 2 years experience at a management level in a care services environment, ideally managing managers
- Working with Children, young people and families, ideally with experience in disability services
- Presenting complex reports and updates to audiences ranging from young people to the Board of Trustees
- Experience working in an environment with multiple stakeholders
- Experience working to pre-defined timelines and outcome targets
- The planning, monitoring, adapting and evaluating of projects including using co-production
- Working with a range of outcomes measurement tools

About the role:
This role is based in our Workington office with flexibility of hybrid working.
The CYP ISVA will provide a high quality and victim/survivor focused service to children and young people (aged 5 - 18) who have been subjected to sexual abuse, this can be recent or historical. To help them to deal with the aftermath and consequences of violence and abuse.
To develop, deliver, and monitor safety and support plans for those affected by crime, who accept ongoing support. Support will include providing resources, interventions, and information to all service users. In order to:
- support those affected by crime in understanding and asserting their rights
- and entitlements
- in understanding their journey through the criminal justice and legal systems including the Victims Code of Practice
- facilitating access additional services
- establish healthy coping mechanisms
- provide practical support and information

About this key role
As our Financial Wellbeing Coach, you will provide person-centred support to a caseload of service users who will either be serving community sentences or have been released from prison. This will involve undertaking assessment and action planning with individual service users and creating a safe and trusting environment, using trauma-informed practice to successfully facilitate a supportive and constructive relationship with service users.
We will also count on you to deliver a range of interventions to service users which contribute towards the achievement of prescribed outcomes, and to work with service users flexibly, meeting and undertaking interventions in a range of locations across a wide geographical area. Developing and maintaining positive working relationships with external agencies and working towards contractual targets and outcomes within agreed timescales and in line with specified quality standards are also vital aspects of the role.

• Evidence of training at specialist level in money and/or welfare benefits advice.

Greater Manchester Youth Federation (“GMYF”) is looking for 5 Part Time Youth Workers who will work with young people at their Partington Youth and Community Centre and Charlestown Youth Centre in Manchester.
About GMYF
GMYF is a long-established charity that works with young people across Greater Manchester, to support their aspirations and create opportunities. Our mission is to deliver a year-round programme of recreational and educational opportunities to young people, volunteers and leaders within our stand-alone centres and to provide support to affiliated clubs.
GMYF opened our first Youth Centre in Partington in September 2022 and are in the process of opening a new Youth Centre in Charlestown. These Centres provide support for young people with a wide range of activities and make a real difference to the lives of many young people. We also have various current/former playing field sites in the Greater Manchester area and jointly own an Outward Activities Centre in Cumbria – Ormside Mill. We have 27 affiliated clubs who undertake a variety of different activities for young people. The Roles
The role of the Youth Worker is to be young person centred and to provide a nurturing, safe and supporting environment for the young people, building and maintaining positive relationships with them. You will be based at either Charlestown or Partington Youth and Community Centre working with 9-16 year olds. You will support the Youth Activities Lead in planning and delivering a full programme of activities including Centre-based activities and outdoor trips, as well as supporting our outdoor adventure team with outdoor activities and residentials.

Identify the formal and informal educational, social, cultural and recreational needs of the young people and plan a programme of positive interventions and innovations which enhances the knowledge, awareness and personal development of the young people. Articulate and record young people’s progression in sessional and project recording documentation and provide information for management and funding reporting. ·

Residentials: Attend weekend residentials and events at the GMYF’s outdoor pursuits centre and encourage the young people to get involved. Support and assist with the planning and delivery of off-site trips/activities and residentials at various locations.

Safeguarding: comply with all policies and procedures, with reference to safeguarding, codes of conduct, health and safety, and equality and diversity. Be alert to issues of safeguarding and child protection, ensuring the welfare and safety of youth club members is promoted and safeguarded. Report any child protection concerns to the Designated Safeguarding Lead. Participate in Safeguarding training.

About You
We are looking for candidates who believe in GMYF’s mission and are experienced in working with young people. You should be able to build positive relationships with young people, always taking a young person centred approach. You will have some experience planning and delivering activities, and bring creative and innovative ideas about activities you could run for the young people. You should have strong teamwork and organisational skills, understanding of safeguarding, and willingness to undertake further training.

The Advice Service Manager is responsible for all advice team operations and developing the Kinship advice pathway.

Look Ahead is looking for a highly motivated and committed Housing & Income Officer for an initial 6-month placement to work alongside our support workers and deliver a good quality intensive housing management service to our customers.
The successful applicant will be responsible for all aspects of housing management within the service. This will include rent arrears management, occupancy agreement management, ASB management, void management and some compliance and repair reporting responsibilities. This is not an exclusive list.

What you'll do:
* Sign up new customers to the appropriate occupancy agreement and ensure housing benefit claims submitted and maintained correctly.
* Be responsible for monitoring and updating all relevant information on Look Ahead`s housing management database including inputting all new customers and ending occupancy agreements in a timely way.
* Proactively monitor rent accounts and take timely and effective action to deal with increasing rent and service charge arrears.
* Ensure all customers are supported to have the most appropriate payment method (rent payment cards, direct debit etc.) for their individual circumstances to ensure easy payment of their rent and/or arrears.
* Lead on making back-dated claims for housing benefit and appealing over-payment deductions.
* Ensure that all customers are kept informed of their rent account status regularly and that action plans are agreed with customers to address any arrears or other rent related issues promptly.

About the role:
We are looking for an Independent Domestic Violence Advisor (IDVA) to be based at Luton & Dunstable Hospital this role will compliment the Hospital IDVA based at Bedford Hospital. This is a full-time post on a fixed term contract until 31st March 2025. The aim of this role is to support victims of domestic abuse predominately risk assessed as standard/medium to compliment our high risk service across Bedfordshire. This is a key role at the hospital working alongside the safeguarding team to ensure that victims of domestic abuse have access to appropriate support.
As an IDVA you will be:
- Providing a high quality support and advocacy service to victims of domestic abuse.
- Managing a caseload; identifying and assessing risks and needs, providing a tailored crisis intervention service through individual safety planning, advocacy, emotional and practical support.
- Working with other agencies and advocating on behalf of service users in order to help them access services to keep them safe.
- Working within a multi-agency framework consisting of partners as well as MARAC and other local partnerships to offer a coordinated response to domestic abuse.
- Promoting the service and raise awareness of domestic abuse through the delivery of training to hospital staff and local partner agencies
You will need:
- Experience of working in support and advocacy with victims of domestic abuse is advantageous
- To be able to prioritise work and deal with competing or conflicting demands/needs and interests and promote organisation interests and values.
- To ideally hold a SafeLives IDVA accreditation, relevant degree, vocational qualification or relevant experience of delivering a service and working with domestic abuse victim's/service users in a statutory, voluntary or community work setting.

In the first 18 months since Martingale was launched, we have recruited 50 Scholars to undertake postgraduate degrees across our eight partner universities and committed over £4m in Scholarships. We are looking to expand into new subjects in the near future and devise new interventions to improve social mobility in postgraduate education longer-term.
As Partnerships Officer, you will work collaboratively with the Chief Executive and the Communications Manager, as well as consultants and Martingale Ambassadors.
Martingale works with a broad range of partners, supporters and collaborators to ensure our work is impactful and targeted. You will lead on managing our partnerships with charities and other organisations and help Martingale to grow major donor income streams by supporting the development of new and existing relationships. You will be responsible for identifying, researching and cultivating new potential funders, including contributing to their ongoing stewardship.
