Blackpool Crisis Support - Sycamore House is a community-based crisis service, working to a recovery model with the aim to reduce the amount of A&E and Hospital admissions through evidence-based CBT interventions. We provide a range of intervention support and are partnered with the NHS, working alongside the Home Treatment Team who offer clinical governance. Additionally, we offer a range of services for people with mental ill health to become more connected to their local community, building on their social engagement. We also signpost to local services and host awareness days that are truly reflective of the community we support to break down stigma and discrimination offering support 24/7 with a staffed service to our residents aged 18 and upwards.

We know that recovery can look and feel very different to each and every one of us. Role Requirements

• Support planning and changes in the administration of children and young people’s timetable for children and family services.
• Support with photocopying of notes for subject access/ solicitor requests (SARS).
• Manage the SARS and redacting process with appropriate members of the Therapies teams.
• Update logs and coordinate the Clinical and Safeguarding Supervision across the Therapies teams, escalating non-compliance where required.
• Monitor mandatory training compliance and administer booking processes for all relevant training sessions/course.
• Coordinating specialist clinics, including spine and hip clinics; liaising with the Physiotherapy team to ensure the correct children are on the schedule. Liaison with external Consultants to organise the clinic lists.
• Carry out audiotyping of clinic letters and distribute as required.
• Update absences within the teams onto the SMI (staff care) system, as requested by the Heads of Service.
• Place orders for any required equipment and/or resources for departments and for the children and young people as deemed necessary.
• Take overview of clinical asset ordering, linking with the clinical assets team and management system, in line with MHRA guidelines and the medical devices policy.
• Track and monitor equipment orders with Heads of service, escalate delays and provide a central overview for all equipment re-charges and ordering.
• Raise and receipt PO’s and invoices for the therapies directorate and liaise closely with the finance team.
• Undertake other or additional duties that are within your skills and abilities, as the organisation may reasonably require from time to time.

With experience of working in a complex environment, across a large and diverse workforce, you will be exceptionally organised with a high-level of attention to detail. You will naturally possess excellent inter-personal skills, and an ability to consult and positively engage with key stakeholders across the organisation.

This is a new and exciting role in Refuge, the post holder will be embedded within district borough housing teams to facilitate dual working that will ensure that survivors’ safety and housing needs are met. The housing advocate will be collocated within the council offices of their designated area to help facilitate:

• Close working relationships with Housing colleagues
• Provision of specialist knowledge relating to DA for Housing Officers and Homelessness Teams to draw on
• Specialist support for survivors at the moment of crisis
• Provision of advocacy; supporting survivors to access safe accommodation
• Joint working with the IDVA or Domestic Abuse Outreach services to ensure all the survivors’ needs are met.

This recognizes that many survivors will approach Housing at moments of crisis, when they are either considering fleeing, or have already fled.

The housing advocate will carry a caseload of survivors that require additional support. They will work closely with survivors of domestic abuse from the point of crisis, to provide high quality independent advocacy around housing needs.They will empower survivors by providing them with emotional, practical and individual safety support. They will ensure that survivors are provided with a safe, supportive and welcoming environment, enabling them to access their rights, make decisions and increase their life options.

Co-located housing advocacy is another form of community-based specialist domestic abuse advocacy support that focuses on victim/survivors’ self-identified needs, rather than needs defined by the service and any pre-defined actions the agency thinks victim/survivors should take. The work is undertaken with the victim/survivor around their individual needs and for a period dictated by need, not targets.

Who will I be changing the lives of?

All of our learners are aged between 16-25 years, have some level of additional need and as a result have an Educational, Health and Care Plan (EHCP).  Some of the most common areas of need that our learners experience are Social, Emotional, Mental Health (SEMH), Autism (ASC), ADHD although we work with learners with a much broader range of needs.

Main Responsibilities

• To be responsible for a caseload of learners with EHCP's aged 16-25 years
• To act as the main point of contact for staff and services with SEND related queries
• To arrange and carry out Annual Reviews and PEP’s as well as completion and submission of all relevant paperwork, acting as chair for these meetings when required
• To assist the Change Leader with the transition process for learners starting at Really NEET as well as those learners leaving Really NEET
• Responsible for over-seeing the progression of learners on completion of the course
• Promote Inclusion best practice and contribute to the aims and ethos of the college

Since our launch over six years ago we have built strong and deep relationships across Ashford and more recently have grown some services into East Sussex. 

We are looking for an inspirational person to lead our established team of staff and volunteers, to springboard from the amazing foundations already in place and take Repton Community Trust on the next stage of its successful journey.

Our successful candidate will be highly motivated, passionate about working with communities and equally comfortable negotiating with senior stakeholders as rolling up their sleeves and running community events. They will have a proven track record in securing grant funding from a range of sources and managing the high-quality delivery of multiple grant funded programmes.

Who are Repton Community Trust

·Our thriving community centre has had more than 100,000 visitors since we opened in 2018.

·We opened Kent’s first community fridge in 2019.

·Our innovative Peoples Pantry and 24-hour food lockers supported thousands of people during the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020/21.

·We opened our first community shop (social supermarket) in 2022.

·We expanded our services to include a mobile shop reaching rural communities in Ashford and Rural Rother in 2023.

·We rescue on average 0.75 tonnes of food per month in 2024.

What will you be doing?

As a Service Manager at Hft, you’ll be supporting adults with learning disabilities to live the best life possible. You will be a role model to others through demonstrating excellent support to those we support and you will help the Regional Service Managers to coach, support and manage staff teams effectively. You will be responsible for nurturing and inspiring those coming to work for Hft to help ensure we have the best staff teams offering great support services. This role also offers great opportunities for career progression to help you develop your knowledge and skills.The purpose of the role is to assist the Regional Service Manager by holding delegated responsibility in key areas of the day-to-day running of the registered service. You will also have the responsibility to manage the performance of your team; including your team’s delivery of care and support which promotes dignity,
wellbeing and independence and a person-centred culture.
Alongside the Regional Service Manager, you are responsible and accountable for monitoring, maintaining and providing the highest standards of clinical and personal support and service delivery, while promoting independence and choice to the people supported in the service.

As a senior member of the team, you will promote and lead good practice at all times, doing all you can to make sure that the people we support and their colleagues come to no harm and that the people we support are satisfied with the level of support they receive by acting as an exemplary role model.

As a Service Manager, flexibility is important for both you and for the service. We provide 24/7 support to some people, so you will need to have flexibility to work shifts on a rota'd basis, including nights, weekends and Bank Holidays.
A full UK driving licence, with access to your own vehicle, is essential for the role.

We are seeking an experienced fundraiser who is enthusiastic about helping us to achieve our ambition to scale by growing our income and supporters. 

This is a new role, and the successful candidate will have the opportunity to shape our strategy across all funding streams.  As a small charity, we are looking for someone that will bring extensive knowledge about fundraising and managing the operational aspects of the role, e.g. CRM management and compliance, to help us increase income and cultivate supporters. 

This presents an exciting opportunity for a rising fundraising star to build on their experience and change the trajectory of many young people’s lives as you make your mark for a great cause.

Main duties and responsibilities:

• Develop, deliver and monitor the fundraising strategy for the Charity

• Establish a process for active stewardship 

• Day to day management of income targets and ensuring a healthy pipeline

• Work with the CEO to ensure fundraising targets are met and manage an effective pipeline across different income streams: corporates, trusts & foundations and individual giving.

• Research and drive new opportunities for multi-year commitments from trusts and foundations

• Source and nurture corporate supporters – both corporate social responsibility (CSR) and sponsorship

• Work with the wider team to develop a consistent approach to our individual funding ask from alumni.

• Lead on the preparation and submission of high-quality, effective applications and report on grants awarded.

• Create a programme of cultivation events which nurture existing partnership relationships and underpin the creation of new ones.

• Oversee the development of inspiring digital content and collateral to attract new and retain funders and fundraisers to the charity.

• Ensure accurate record-keeping of corporate partnerships and relationships in our CRM system. 

• Ensure that our work complies with fundraising best practice, GDPR and other relevant legislation.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate

• At least three years fundraising management experience

• Evidence of alignment with our mission and commitment to equality, diversity and inclusion.

• Lived experience of disabling or marginalising barriers.

• A background in the Corporate and/or Trusts world.

• Experience of developing a fundraising strategy. 

• Excellent planning and project management skills with the capability to switch/prioritise tasks quickly.

• Experience of writing compelling fundraising applications and funder proposals.

• A track record of securing multi-year, five-figure donations.

• Experience of monitoring and reporting against targets and strong budget management skills.

• A thorough knowledge of the relevant fundraising legislation, regulations and financial issues.

• Exceptional written and oral communication skills.

• Strong IT skills including an understanding of CRM systems.

• Self motivation with an ability to use your initiative.
