The Learning Events and Courses Officer will be joining our dynamic team at a pivotal time as we redesign and develop new and existing learning products and drive forward our global ambitions by creating and delivering an exciting programme of annual events.
The postholder will be responsible for developing and delivering new and complex products (events and courses delivered in the UK, globally, online and in person) which are part of the wider RCR Learning Offer for RCR members and Fellows at all stages of their careers as well as delivering complex events and courses that feature as part of our annual programme.
This role is also vital in enabling and facilitating collaborative working with our learning faculity groups and Strategic Board as we continue to establish and evolve working relationships with key stakeholders, subject matter experts and clinicians.
The ideal candidate will be proactive, having strong verbal and written communication skills and bring expertise and market knowledge to advise on latest trends to support event delivery.
What you’ll do:
- Develop and deliver from start to finish several complex events and courses annually.
- Lead the delivery of pilot products and events end to end.
- Work closely with subject matter experts to generate inspiring and up to date programmes.
- Produce accurate budgets for live products, including direct costs, as well as forecast delegate and sponsorship income.
- Pro-actively contribute to evaluation of pilot products, feeding back on logistical and operational learning and recommending next steps.
- Lead secretariat responsibilities.
- Monitor and respond to queries about the overall RCR Learning activities via telephone and email.

- Experience of delivering end to end event management across in person, online and hybrid formats using interactive technologies and facilitation techniques.
- Experience collaborating closely with external stakeholders to develop and deliver content.

St John International have embarked on a new global strategy, changing the nature of the organisation and the services provided to the global family of St John organisations. This mid-level position will be a key member of a small projects/programmes team at the heart of delivery in an international charity. The post holder will play an important role as implementation of our global strategy enters a new phase – and offers the chance to get involved in a wide variety of different functions, including; project management, governance development and policy-making, fundraising and the design and delivery of programmes utilising these funds.
The Order of St John (also known as St John International or SJI) is the international coordinating body for all St John organisations around the world, usually known as St John Ambulance. Acting as the secretariat for a family of 44 organisations, SJI manages projects that encourage collaboration and help St John to be recognised as the global leader in first aid and medical responses to community health needs.
Initially, the post holder will be working within a small team ensuring that a new “St John Hub” is populated with a collection of relevant and necessary information for all St John organisations. Once complete, the post holder will be responsible for the ongoing curation and development of the hub as a central resource according to emerging areas of need and global discussion. In addition, the St John Hub will host online learning courses covering key management principles for St John organisations. Content for these courses has already been collected, but the post holder will need to translate them into online learning courses, using Articulate 360 .
As our fundraising strategy develops, the post holder will work with the Head of Programmes and St John organisations around the world to identify suitable projects for central funding, and will assist, when necessary, in the administration of those funds. This will include overseeing small grant making processes, but also assisting recipients with reporting and administration of grants.
The post will suit someone with experience in the processes of collecting, organizing, storing, and distributing data and knowledge within a global and multi cultural organization. They should know how to implement information management policies to ensure data is accessible, secure, and used effectively to support decision-making.
Key deliverables:
· Work with colleagues in St John International to populate the “St John Hub”, and then ensure it is kept up to date with latest information.
· Build contacts with St John organisations around the world to source relevant information and updates to keep the “Hub” up to date and be a point of contact for St John organisations/managers around the world looking for information on a particular subject.
· Take existing knowledge and learning and, using the Articulate 360 platform, build into online learning courses for St John organisations and managers around the world to utilise.
· Manage St John International’s profile on the Kaya online learning platform, and update lessons and courses as required.
· Work with Head of Programmes, and (future) Head of Fundraising to develop the grant making process, and administer to this as necessary once running.
Applicant requirements
Required experience or skills:
· Experience in roles that require the ability to organise and manage a large variety of information in a user friendly arrangement.
· Ability to write on-line learning courses using the Articulate 360 package, or similar approaches.
· Ability to communicate complex issues in simple, straightforward language.
· Keen interest in organisational development within the context of international charities or social enterprise.
· Experience working in a large-scale social enterprise / international health care charity.
· Experience facilitating and energising online meetings.
· Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office 365, especially Teams and SharePoint.
· Experience of working with global teams of volunteers, recognising different cultures and practices, and being able to secure commitments to carry out further work on your behalf.
· Enthusiastic and approachable, ready to listen and engage with people.
· Ability to identify support needs in good time, and to manage office functions around the role in a friendly and collegiate manner.
Desirable:
· Understanding of good practice in governance and management structures.
· Understanding of different business models across different contexts.
· Experience in volunteer organisations and managing activity with external partners.
· Experience of grant making processes for international charities, either as a donor or receiver.
· Previous engagement of any kind with a St John organisation anywhere in the world will be very helpful.
Terms
Full time position. Working hybrid according to preference, but with requirement to be present in the London office 2 days per week.

You will be part of a cross-functional team that is responsible for identifying relevant data or trends from our web scraping partners, our own data warehouse (TA Hub), and other intelligence sources that can be used in investigation and ultimately utilised by our commercial partners and law enforcement agencies.
Human traffickers leave traces in the recruitment of victims, the exploitation of those victims in supply chains, and in the flow of money. This role will focus on the latter two areas, using data to identify opportunities to disrupt criminal money flows, and assess human trafficking risks in supply chains. Our intelligence products facilitate partner organisations to act in terms of proactively mitigating risk, safeguarding, asset freezing, and ultimately prosecution of offenders.
This role will have a particular focus on understanding supply chains and using intelligence to understand how traffickers infiltrate legitimate businesses. Understanding how human trafficking and modern slavery fits into a wider narrative on human rights will be essential for success in this role.
Responsibilities:
· Analysing and improving human trafficking data collection, visualisation, and dissemination.
· Assisting with the analysis of gathered intelligence, transforming data into actionable insights, and strategic recommendations for businesses, as well as banks.
· Collaborating with global businesses to assess their human rights risk, from a human trafficking perspective, and deliver intelligence-led advice and expertise.
· Collaborating with financial institutions, investigating the relationships between illicit transactions and human trafficking to enhance the possibility of prosecution.
· Working closely with our Prevention Team to support the development of highly relevant, specific campaign content that reaches vulnerable, at-risk communities on the ground with safety information to avoid harm/exploitation.

The Young Westminster Foundation was established in 2017 to support young people growing up in Westminster to have healthy, safe and bright futures. The foundation is a cross-sector partnership, working with youth organisations, schools, businesses, funders, government and Westminster City Council and is part of the wider YPF network supporting children across North-West London.
We are a membership organisation, supporting local youth organisations through grants, training, research and networking opportunities. Forging partnerships with businesses, public sector partners, individuals and major funders, our work helps strengthen services for all young people Westminster.

The Role:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Director of Communications and Engagement to join the team and be part of the Senior Management Team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing, implementing and overseeing the charity's communications, focusing on building our profile as well as outreach to our growing community of member charities, businesses and strategic partners. You will ensure YWF's voice is impactful and authentic, blending creativity and strategy to elevate our organisation's presence and strengthen its relationships with young people, member organisations, the public and partners.
You will cover digital, events and external communications, working closely with the team. This is a permanent part-time role (3 or 4 days per week) with flexible working options.
This is a hands-on role working within a small and busy charity. The scope of the role is varied and will evolve as YWF continues to develop, but will broadly involve the following:
Key Responsibilities
- Working closely with the CEO, create and implement a comprehensive communications strategy to promote the charity’s work and to maximise opportunities of key partner engagement
- Take stock of our current communications activity and lead efforts to elevate the charity's visibility and profile, including reporting and acting on analytics from the various platforms
- Oversee and implement communications across all platforms, including digital, print, and events. This includes creating regular business and member newsletters, website updates and events comms
- Oversee branding and communication guidelines, ensuring that staff are supported to follow and adhere to them
- Working closely with our Business Development Lead to support corporate fundraising efforts
- Work with our Evaluation and Data Specialist to develop communications proposals and maximise the use of in-house and external data
- Work closely with the team to develop compelling stories and formats and align communications strategy with the charity's mission and objectives
- Work closely with the Westminster Youth Hubs supporting them in their marketing and communications, encouraging collaboration and knowledge sharing and helping build capacity
- Work closely with external agencies, including videographers and photographers, to create engaging content for YWF
- Work closely with our partner YPF Young K&C on the development of the OurCity Website
- Supporting the YWF Social media intern in the creation of content and templates aligned with brand guidelines, ensuring high quality is maintained

Who Are We Looking For?
- We are looking for candidates with the following skills and experience:
- Understanding of strategies to grow influence and elevate an organisation's profile by fostering and maintaining strong, strategic relationships with key stakeholders and partners
- Proven experience in developing and executing communications strategies, content development and creation of campaigns, including culturally sensitive communications that resonate with diverse audiences
- Proven experience in gathering, analysing and leveraging analytics to inform and enhance communication strategies and engagement initiatives
- Understanding of organisational branding
- Proven experience of managing social media accounts, websites and marketing tools including Canva and mailchimp
- Excellent presentation, writing and storytelling skills across a wide range of applications and for varied audiences
- Excellent proofreading and editing skills
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and empower YWF team members
- An understanding of the charity sector and children and young people and the issues facing both

The Role
In this role you will provide supervision and support to the Sibling Workers and manage the day to day running of the Sibling Service at Little Harbour. Key responsibilities include providing supervision and support to the sibling workers and managing the day to day delivery of the sibling service. In addition, ensuring safeguarding of children and vulnerable adults, meeting the specific needs of the brothers and sisters of children using the hospice, providing activities and opportunities for play to ensure their stay is a positive experience and together with the Care Team, providing emotional support, including bereavement care when needed.
The Successful Candidate
A relevant play or youth work qualification and previous experience of working with children in providing play and recreational activities is essential. A flexible approach to working days and activities is essential to support the hospice and changeable needs of the families. Their care team work rotating shifts, which will include bank holidays, and weekend shifts.

What could my day look like?
