Administrator - Trade Union & Industrial Relations

The Society and College of Radiographers (SOR / COR) are two separate companies operating together to provide service and support for those involved in radiography. Together they comprise the professional body and trade union for those practicing in medical imaging and radiotherapy.

The Society of Radiographers has an exciting opportunity for an experienced administrator to join our team in a broad and interesting trade union role.

The Role

Working together with two other experienced administrators, this role will support managers and full-time officers in the important trade union work for our members, including being a first point of contact for enquiries from our representatives and local volunteer SOR representatives relating to casework.

Providing administration support to full time officers, this role will also organise network events and member communications and provide support for the balloting and industrial action process.
Working with other departments, this role will assist in updating and ensuring the integrity of our member data and will produce research and data reports to assist in business planning and decision making. This is an exciting time for the SOR and this role will engage with and provide support for a number of emerging projects that support the business plan and our membership growth plans.

Who we are looking for

The ideal candidate will have previous trade union experience in the administration of case management ballot consultations, industrial action and member networks. Very strong data analysis skills are important, along with the ability to work positively across the team, whilst manging multiple tasks to support projects and varied case work.

Key Responsibilities

· Shopping Assistance: Help customers with their shopping needs, ensuring they have access to essential items.

· Light Housework: Perform light cleaning tasks to maintain a safe and comfortable living environment for customers.

· Medical Escort: Accompany and support customers during hospital and GP appointments, ensuring they receive the necessary medical attention.

· Additional Support Tasks: Assist customers with making telephone calls, reading and responding to correspondence, and completing simple forms (training provided), as directed by the customer.

· Nutritional Support: Prepare and serve drinks and simple meals for or with the service user, ensuring nutritional needs are met according to the individual support plan.

Administration

· Incident Reporting: Report any ‘No Access’ failed visits or changes in service users' condition or circumstances in accordance with AUKEL’s policies and procedures.

· App Maintenance: Maintain the AUKEL Call-Round app and Solo Protect Lone Working Personal Safety App/device in accordance with AUKEL policies and procedures.

· Financial Accountability: Ensure any monies collected are provided to the Home & Care Service Manager within 48 hours of collection.

· Feedback Collection: Support customers to complete service feedback questionnaires where required

Quality

· Care Certificate Commitment: Candidates must commit to undertaking the Care Certificate within 12 months unless they hold NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care.

· Mandatory Training: Completion of essential training as required by AUKEL to ensure the delivery of safe, person-centred services.

Collaboration

· Collaborative Support: Work in collaboration with other agencies providing support within the customer's home to ensure comprehensive care and support.

· Guidance and Direction: Operate under the direction of assigned Service Manager to maintain consistency and quality in service delivery.

General

· Additional Duties: Undertake any other duties within the competence of the post holder as may be required from time to time for the continued smooth running of the service.

Employment Details

Contract type

This contracted post is for 21 - 35 hours per week (working day pattern to be decided) and may require some out of hours or weekend work as required.  We welcome application for flexible working including reduced hours and other flexible working arrangements.

This is a key role in the Operations department. You’ll be providing financial, administrative and coordination support to the Nutrition Team so we can play a role in ending hunger. About the role:

In this role, you will support the Patrons team, enabling positive relationships with the Museum's Patrons and Departmental Supporter Groups. You will achieve this by ensuring that administrative processes such as Patrons' renewals and thank you letters are completed in an efficient, accurate and timely manner, and that, under the guidance of the Senior Patrons Manager, regular communications to Patrons reflect the level of excellence and bespoke service expected of the British Museum Patrons Team.

Key areas of responsibility:

Job Summary

The Reward Specialist provides specialist advice and guidance as well as development and maintenance our total reward approach, including pay, reward and recognition. About the role:

The British Museum has built a reputable prospect research function which supports both Advancement and the Museum's wider management. Our research strategically harnesses information and data to drive fundraising decisions. We ensure we have the right tools, skills and networking that supports the Museum with its mission. Our internal service also includes the provision of non-philanthropic research for Trustee Business and other Museum departments.

Our research is regularly audited and designed to adhere to recommendations set out by The National Audit Office, and numerous internal policies and financial controls. As with any function, the processes in place are reviewed regularly to ensure we remain effective and compliant.

This post will focus on providing the Museum with exceptional due diligence reports. It will play a key role in supporting the work of the Advancement Operations Team.

The successful candidate will combine excellent interpersonal skills, exceptional research and prospecting skills, with a high level of accuracy and detail.

Key areas of responsibility:

• To take primary responsibility for Due Diligence for the department, including requests from senior leadership, ensuring the best possible standards are achieved.

About the role:

The British Museum's Advancement department is responsible for securing funds for the Museum from across a menu of different fundraising activities. The Corporate Partnerships team is responsible for developing and maintaining mutually beneficial relationships with sponsors, and members in the corporate sector.

A key aspect of the role is to support the Head of Corporate Partnerships with the management of existing relationships with corporate supporters. You will inherit a portfolio of current supporters wherein they are expected to plan, initiate and deliver activities to manage, maintain and grow relationships.

Additionally, the role requires a large focus on business development with opportunity to increase team revenue from new corporate sponsors, partners and members. The Corporate Partnerships Officer will liaise across various departments within the Museum to develop proposals, marketing materials, reports, monthly network news, and a variety of other team resources.

Key areas of responsibility:

Income Generation

• To be responsible for the day to day management and renewal of an agreed upon number of corporate sponsors, partners and members on an annual basis, recognising opportunities to increase revenue to sponsorship level when available.
• To recruit an agreed upon number of new corporate sponsors, partners and members on an annual basis (securing multi-year agreements whenever possible).
• To play an active role in development of new business pitches (with the support of either the Manager Corporate Relations or Head of Corporate Relations).

Account Management

• Maintaining regular communications with corporate supporters in the assigned portfolio and cultivating the relationships for future giving.
• Ensuring the efficient and complete delivery of benefits in consultation with the Events team.
• Identifying and encouraging senior relationships across both organisations.
• Ensuring Raiser's Edge fundraising database is updated and holds accurate information for each relationship in the portfolio.

Administration

• Liaise with Museum stakeholders to supply accurate information for use in sponsorship/funding proposals for current and/or prospective corporate supporters (i.e. become a subject matter expert for the Corporate Relations team in certain agreed upon funding areas of interest).

Teresa House and Hamlets Way are two supported housing accommodations for adults with enduring mental health issues. Both services provide a high level of support to 16 customers on each service. Teresa House is a fast stream service where customers are supported up to two years while Hamlets Way is a slow stream service where customers can expect support for a minimum of two to a maximum of 4 years.
The service is under Look Ahead management since April 2015 and the buildings are owed by Notting Hill Genesis.

This role requires a valid Right to Work for the UK as Look Ahead are not a sponsoring organisation.

What you'll do:

- To work on a rota based shift pattern which includes working early (8-4pm) and late (2-10pm) shifts 5 days a week.
- Support customers with dignity and respect in aspects of their day to day living this can include but is not excluded to; social and physical activities, medication, shopping, benefit entitlements, maintaining living standards, exploring employment, education and training opportunities
- Undertake key-working responsibilities for a caseload assigned by the Team Leader/ Manager
- Undertake initial and continuous assessment of needs and potential risks and agree levels of support and actions
- Create support/action plans for providing appropriate services based on the assessment and reflecting the services and resources available
- Support customers to undertake some domestic tasks wherever possible, including practical assistance where they have not yet developed the skills, to ensure customers enjoy a high quality of accommodation
- Develop and maintain links with all key agencies and service providers in the local community
- Undertake medication support with customers in line with their support needs.
- Work with local community mental health teams and other relevant professional bodies to related to customer support
- To develop and produce creative customer activities to support in house customer engagement and enhance recovery
- Empower customers to ensure they receive the service and benefits they are entitled to
- Undertake all administrative work and keep accurate and comprehensive tenant/customer records to professional standards
- Encourage and enable tenants to pay their rent and to ensure that rent accounts are managed effectively in conjunction with the Housing Management team
- Ensure that referrals are chased proactively so that properties which can be used to house those in need are filled as efficiently as possible
- Adhere to Look Ahead's Policies and Procedures
- Engage in learning and development activities to increase knowledge and skills
- Undertake any other duties consistent with the grade and nature of the post as may be reasonably assigned

Support Workers will provide support to customers to help them develop the life skills they require to meet the assessed needs of the customers of the service. In some services, this will include providing physical, domestic, emotional and social care. They will work with customers to promote social inclusion and alongside other members of the team to promote independent living, encouraging customers to maximise their skills and choices. The shift pattern for this role will be on a rota basis. Some weekend work will be required.

What you'll do:

If a need arises, deliver all aspects of support to enable a customer to develop independent living skills as appropriate to the individual needs of the customer. In some services, this will include delivering personal and physical care as appropriate
Support customers to undertake all domestic tasks wherever possible, including practical assistance where they have not yet developed the skills, to ensure customers enjoy a high quality of accommodation
Participate in the support planning and risk management, as facilitated by the lead Support Worker
Carry out security duties to ensure the safety of the customers and premises
Monitor the CCTV throughout the shift
Enable customers to make full use of community facilities by providing support as directed
Carry out support duties to enable customers to integrate into the community including e.g. accompanying the customer to attend benefit agency appointments and meetings, go shopping, to enquire at colleges about possible courses, to visit various public amenities
Report any observations relating to customers welfare
Adhere to all the policies and procedures of Look Ahead Care, Support & Housing plus those specific to the project including any statutory requirements
Ensure Look Ahead Health and Safety policies and local protocols are adhered to at all times
Maintain records as required at the project under the direction of the Support Workers/ management
Participate in team meetings/reviews and the general development of the service
