The Role
Reporting into the Funding and Innovation Manager you will support the delivery of our fundraising strategy and secure external funding into SNG communities and to charities we work with.
Key Responsibilities
- To support the Fundraising and Innovation Manager to deliver our fundraising strategy.
- To secure external funding to benefit SNG communities and customer facing teams around the following themes: Financial & Digital Inclusion, Employment and Training, Community Action and Engagement.
- Lead projects, bids and programmes that bring in external funding to SNG communities and to charities benefiting SNG communities.
- Innovate by supporting the testing and piloting of new programmes and partnerships and identify opportunities to the Head of Partnerships and Funding.
- Build and maintain excellent relationships with stakeholders, including funders, businesses, local authorities and national agencies.
- Support the implementation of governance oversight for fundraising and systems and processes.
What we are looking for
You should have demonstrable experience in a similar role or have knowledge within fundraising and partnerships. We're also looking for:
- Experience in previous roles of securing external funding via bid writing, public sector tenders and contracts, Trusts and Foundations and corporates.

Role Requirements
Reporting to the Senior Engineer, the Plumber will use their vast experience, skill, and knowledge from previous roles to deliver exceptional plumbing services to the estate, ensuring the efficient operation and safety of all electrical systems and associated items in compliance with current standards and regulations.
Ensuring requirements of Children, young people, parents, staff and visitors are met at all times the role will be responsible for carrying out planned maintenance tasks in accordance with the planned maintenance schedule and also for installation, investigation, diagnosis and fault finding on a wide range of engineering plant and equipment, including, but not limited to heating and hot water systems, hot and cold-water services, air conditioning, air handling and ventilation equipment, drainage and rainwater system and control systems. To add variety to your day, you'll also be assigned other duties through the help desk. These tasks will diversify your workload and ensure your role remains dynamic and engaging.
Provide and receive routine and complex information to inform colleagues and other personnel. Be knowledgeable and conversant with technical issues and communicate and explain those to colleagues.
The role holder will assist in the supervision and monitoring of maintenance work carried out by contracts ensuring at all times their own work and that is contractors is within the statutory guidelines the role will ensure a quality customer service and delivery of outcomes within expected SLAs.
The role holder will participate in a 7-day shift rota and out of hours call out to ensure a 24/7 coverage of the estate.

Role Requirements
Reporting to the Senior Engineer, the Water & Hydro Pool Technician will perform essential duties to ensure compliance of our systems. Responsibilities include installing, maintaining, and repairing potable water systems and equipment such as pipes, pumps, valves, and tanks, as well as hydro pool plant. You will collaborate with colleagues to deliver excellent service alignment with HSG274, ACOP L8, IPC, legislative requirements, and standards. The role will also help support requirements and audits set out by CQC and Ofsted.
The role will be responsible for planned preventative maintenance (PPM) tasks, ensuring their delivery and completion, including any necessary remedial actions. Additionally, you will be responsible for generating site water management reports and presenting them to both your line manager and our in-house Water Safety Group. You will also meticulously manage all water records onsite, maintaining compliance with relevant systems such as logbooks and eLogbook's. The role is also responsible for managing the appointed water laboratory for testing of water samples.
Other duties include conducting Legionella water sampling, Temperature checking, descaling of shower heads, TMV servicing, reviewing and managing Water RAMS for works carried out by contractors, as well as performing water treatment tasks such as tank cleaning, pH testing, water temperature testing, chlorination, and chemical dosing.

Harington is an Ofsted regulated specialist college based in north London. In June 2024 we were judged as Good by Ofsted. We work with young people with learning differences aged 16-25. Our students undertake individualised learning programmes that lead to vocational qualifications and other aims, including gardening, retail, English, maths, employability and independent living. We also deliver a supported internship programme.
Our charity's learning centres in Highgate and Hornsey alongside our charity's gardening business and two charity shops, provide a unique opportunity for students to practically apply their learning on work experience placements. Working in the Engagement department and reporting to the Adults and Communities Participation Manager, the Communities Participation Producer will create a year-round public programme of activities inspired by the collections, themes and sites of Royal Museums Greenwich. Key responsibilities include producing and delivering programmes in collaboration with community partners and stakeholders to create relevant, inclusive and inspiring activity across the Museum’s multiple sites. The role will focus on creating activity that welcomes underrepresented audiences to Royal Museums Greenwich sites, developing trusted relationships in the process and responding to the social purpose of the organisation.
The role will develop programmes that connect communities and collections around the legacies of empire, queer histories and stories of migration. This will involve working across generations to facilitate dialogue around under-represented histories and current issues in a variety of formats including large scale public festivals, talks, workshops and more. The role will have a focus on developing participation opportunities for African and Caribbean and East and South-East Asian diaspora, as well as LGBTQ+ communities, to develop stronger connections with the collection and bring new perspectives to maritime history. This will involve audience research and internal dialogue to create supportive spaces and activity at Royal Museums Greenwich and contribute towards it becoming a more inclusive and representative organisation.
The successful candidate will have demonstrable experience of delivering a range of inclusive cultural engagement provision for diverse audiences, including large-scale public events, and creating audience-led programmes for African and Caribbean/ East Asian/ South-East Asian diaspora communities. The postholder will have a track record of building strong partnerships with communities and stakeholders, along with experience of writing and producing resources and promotional materials for a range of target audiences. We are seeking a Team Lead to provide engineering and technical leadership in the delivery of enterprise-wide IT modern workplace services to the Museum's circa 1,000 staff and for the partners and guests who visit and use the Museum's services. The role manages the 3rd line engineers responsible for the Museum's modern workplace across visitor and security services, operational and curatorial departments.
Key areas of responsibility:
- Technical and team leadership -
- Manage the design and project delivery of new modern workplace services.
- Engage with the Museum to understand how core modern workplace solutions are consumed and make recommendations on how best to improve the end user experience.
- Provide team leadership, mentoring and support for team members.
- Operational support -
- Responsible for ensuring the team maintain availability and performance of the Museum's IT modern workplace solutions. Liaising with senior managers, 3rd line colleagues and service delivery staff to ensure ITIL incidents and problems are resolved effectively.
- Active role in the Change Control and System Architecture processes.
- Ensure all systems are well maintained, documented, monitored and alerts are responded to appropriately.
- Vendor management -
- Ensure the IS department maintains excellent functioning relationships with its main software and application suppliers.
- Manage vendors including: selection processes such as RFP and scorecards to establishing operational SLAs and KPIs.
- Process and policy -
- Responsible for ensuring the team follow the appropriate policies and procedures to deliver services and change control.
- Contribute towards operational and project budgeting.
About you:
- Degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
- Technical skills - Cloud SAAS, Microsoft Office 365 (Intune/ Teams/ One Drive/ SharePoint); software management and provisioning; strong 3rd line IT Support and ITIL service delivery; mobile working methodologies; active directory, domain services and GPOs; detailed understand of how IT services are delivered and consumed by the customer; excellent documentation skills.
- Previous work experience as a Senior Applications Analyst or Senior Modern Workplace Engineer.
- Managerial skills - Team leadership either direct reports or during major projects; experience in leading the delivery of application services and change programmes; management and selection of 3rd party suppliers and vendors in delivering application services; proactively engaged with the IT Industry.
- Interpersonal skills - positive communicator and team player; analytical thinker and achievement focused; highly organised with excellent prioritisation skills.

- Create and deliver training, guidance and ongoing support for Student Officers, Student Representatives and Academic Associations, equipping students with the knowledge and skills that enable them to thrive in their role and feel empowered to grow as community leaders.
- Build strong and nurturing relationships with student representatives and Academic Association leaders, coordinating effective engagement and regular contact with our members.
- Empower students – particularly those from low participation groups - to become student leaders and participate in KCLSU Elections.
A successful candidate will have:
Qualifications
- A good standard of education, ideally to graduate level or equivalent. (Desirable)
Experience
- Experience of working in a campaigning organisation or as a campaigner
- Experience of mentoring and coaching staff/elected representatives/volunteers
- Experience of working in successful partnerships with a range of stakeholders
- Experience recruiting and supporting volunteers
- Experience of facilitating and delivering training
- Experience/involvement working with a membership organisation (either as an employee, representative or trustee) (Desirable)
- Experience of working with young people/education or similar (Desirable)
Knowledge
- Knowledge of community-building techniques and how to increase participation
- Knowledge of various campaigning and lobbying techniques
- Knowledge of community organising techniques
- Knowledge of current issues affecting the higher education sector
- Understanding of underrepresentation in higher education/voluntary sector and how these groups are affected by structural inequality (Desirable)
- Good understanding of representation systems and practices (Desirable)
Skills
- Ability to build, enable and empower campaign teams and support others to do so.
- Ability to collaborate well with others and to use initiative and creativity to resolve problems
- Ability to motivate, coach and support others to enable their development
- Excellent planning, organisational and administrative skills, with a particular focus on attention to detail
- Competent IT skills and ability to learn new systems quickly (Desirable)

- A desire to empower individuals, communities, and grassroots movements
