Support Coordinator
This is an exciting opportunity to join our team in Stoke and North Staffordshire. We’re looking for an enthusiastic, motivated and well organised individual to join us in delivering a comprehensive Stroke Recovery Service across the region.
Position: S11199 Stroke Association Support Coordinator
Location: Home-based, Stoke and North Staffordshire. Extensive travel will be required as part of this role (travel will also include team meetings or other work related meetings)
Hours: Part-time, 25 hours per week (flexible working available)
Salary: Circa £19,099 per annum (FTE circa £26,700 per annum)
Contract: This is a fixed-term contract under 31 March 2025. Our services are contracted, we currently have funding for this contract until 31 March 2025.

The Role
Reporting to the Stroke Association Service Delivery Coach, the coordinator will work with the local Health and Social Care services to receive referrals and support stroke survivors and their carers. As a coordinator you will provide personalised information, advice and support with regular reviews throughout.
Key responsibilities will include:
· Working with the local Health and Social services to receive referrals to support stroke survivors and their carers
· Providing personalised information, advice and support to address any needs identified
· Completing Needs Assessments with stroke survivors and supporting them to develop a stroke recovery plan
· Providing regular reviews to support people in establishing and achieving their own personal goals.
About You
You will:
· Have a background in a caring and/or charity profession supporting people with disabilities
· Be able to demonstrate previous experience of working collaboratively with other organisations to achieve joint ambitions.
· Have experience of working with people who may have additional communication support needs
· Have the ability to use basic Microsoft system
This role requires extensive travel across a large geographical locality to visit people at home and in community settings. Candidates must be able to demonstrate how they can meet this requirement of the role (at point of application and interview).

The Role
The service aims to identify and address the needs of stroke survivors and carers across the stroke pathway, by providing a range of innovative support solutions, supporting them to meet their desired outcomes.

Job Vacancy – Regional Adviser
The Masonic Charitable Foundation (MCF) is looking for an experienced, proactive and customer focused adviser to support the work of the wider Advice and Support team
The post holder will be responsible for the Midlands area plus other areas as required with an expectation of completing in person visits across the allocated counties. The role therefore requires access to your own vehicle and to reliable broadband. A car allowance and mileage will be paid on top of the salary.
The right candidate will enjoy and excel at building relationships and supporting individuals and families in distress and in times of need using skills and experiences to give clear information advice and guidance as well as supporting with applications for a charitable grant. Experience of managing their own diary and workload as well as significant experience of working in an educational, health or social care environment is essential. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal are essential for this role along with the ability to show empathy.
IT equipment and a company mobile phone will also be provided. An enhanced DBS check is required for this position.
Please note that whilst this is a remote role, there is a significant in person requirement that means weekly travel across all areas of the allocated counties and an initial expectation as part of the induction to attend the London office.

About the Masonic Charitable Foundation
The Masonic Charitable Foundation (MCF) is one of the UK’s leading charities, providing a range of benevolent support to individuals and awarding grants to local and national charities.
Our work helps to encourage opportunity, promote independence and improve wellbeing for thousands of people each year. Last year, the MCF awarded support totalling around £20 million. Our support is funded from the donations of freemasons, their families and friends.
The MCF was founded in 2016 following the merger of four charities that had operated separately since the eighteenth century.
Our Regional Advisers are home-based workers who are compassionate and dedicated to responding to the needs of Freemasons and their dependents in their area, providing essential support. They are professional and accountable, working independently but collaborating with volunteers, colleagues, and local agencies to provide an exceptional service on behalf of the charity.
Their main purpose is to visit and contact members of the Masonic community to determine their needs and to help them to access support from the MCF and other relevant agencies. Support is provided through a combination of home visits, telephone calls, or video calling.
The role also provides guidance, support and recommendations to office based staff processing applications for our extensive range of grants to support those in need. They form close and effective working relationships with local volunteers, providing support and guidance to extend our reach.
Main responsibilities
- Responding to/visiting freemasons and their dependents to:
- provide support and advice; and
- determine relevant support from the MCF or other agencies to meet their needs
- Face-to-face visits, video conferencing and in-depth telephone calls are required to provide extensive and detailed support.

We are seeking an exceptional leader and brilliant relationship fundraiser to join the Philanthropy department, leading the Major Donor team at Alzheimer’s Society. The same team doubled their income target last year!
This is a hugely exciting time to work for the UK’s leading dementia charity. The Major Donor Team is growing fast, and we have plans to significantly increase our income to fund critical dementia support services and research. Two ground-breaking treatments have recently shown for the first time that it is possible to slow down the progression of Alzheimer’s disease.
Critical to our ambition is developing new partnerships with philanthropic supporters. We have a pipeline of new ground-breaking research & community projects in development that provide an exciting opportunity to grow funding from this audience, and a new major donor prospect pipeline and cultivation programme up and running.
In this role, you will develop and deliver the major donor growth plan, in line with the Philanthropy strategy to 2030, leading a brilliant team of major donor specialist fundraisers. You will develop new long-term, and transformational partnerships with philanthropic partners (both individuals and families) at a £500k+ and £1m+ level. You will be key to engaging them with the Society’s ambitious vision and exciting major programmes of work, spanning cutting-edge research, health inequalities, clinical trials, on-the-ground support, and participation for people living with dementia, and new life-changing dementia treatments.
Importantly, the role also provides the chance to deliver a meaningful impact on the lives of people affected by dementia, helping us to reach our goal of securing £5+ million a year from Major Donors by 2027.
Alzheimer’s Society is primarily a home-based organisation, with the possibility to use our London/Birmingham offices as desired, however, there are also hybrid and office contracts available, so we can be fully flexible. We are looking for a Partner Centre Project Manager who will manage all aspects of TLC partner projects. The Partner Centre Project Manager will be responsible for delivering the objectives outlined in the strategy and managing the training/mentoring programs for partner centres.
The TLC Team
Transplant Links is a small, flexible, and highly motivated team comprising a CEO, Director of Medical Activities, and Project Administrator. The Partner Centre Project Manager will report directly to the CEO, and collaborate closely with the Director of Medical Activities, working with over 50 NHS volunteers.
The Role
As we have expanded our global reach we need a Partner Centre Project Manager to develop and implement training programs in our partner centres worldwide. Primary responsibilities include project management of partner centres coordinating their training and resource allocation, and stakeholder communication (healthcare institutions, supporters, HCPs). This involves organising missions, where a team of UK volunteers travels to facilitate living donor kidney transplants in situ. These missions will be led and supervised by the project manager.
The Partner Centre Project Manager also assesses and addresses the evolving needs of partner medical centres, ensuring that the training programs remain pertinent and customised to the specific requirements of partner centres. They will monitor the program’s expenditure within agreed budgets and ensure compliance of the activities and expenditure with TLC policies, whilst also taking the lead on program reporting to supporters. Crucially, they will be responsible for liaising with local program leaders (doctors, nurses and hospital managers), volunteer HCPs from the UK and stakeholders in the field (often Health Ministries and hospital management).
Primary accountabilities include: the completion of missions within a given time frame; abiding by the policies and procedures in place to ensure the safety of TLC volunteers and staff; identifying and managing risks within programs and proposing mitigation strategies; moving each partner centre through the phases of development as per the strategy; assessing prospective partner centres; progress reporting and communicating performance; managing budgets and resourcing requirements
Example tasks include meeting online with partner centres; writing plans and budgets for overseas missions; meeting online with a current or potential sponsor of a partner centre; liaising with TLC volunteers; facilitating meetings with key stakeholders; making in person visits in UK and abroad; working with TLC volunteers to design itineraries for upcoming observerships; preparing performance reports on centre progress and KPI’s
Role Requirements - Candidate Specification

Purpose of The role
Habitat GB is seeking a dedicated and experienced Head of Advocacy to lead our efforts in advocating for policy change within the UK government (in particular targeting the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office) to prioritise housing in international development. This pivotal role will play a crucial part in supporting Habitat for Humanity's global advocacy agenda which aims to promote equitable access to adequate housing worldwide, focusing on informal settlements in the Global South.
