Job Purpose 

To co-ordinate core services, ensuring appropriate staffing levels and cover as required through creating monthly rotas. To ensure that drop-in services are run in line with POW’s guidance and values, being inclusive and supportive with appropriate boundaries in place to role model healthy relationships to service users. To be responsible for co-ordinating volunteers supporting the core service delivery, taking a supervisory role to ensure they are satisfied and safe in their roles. 

Key Responsibilities 

• To oversee drop-in services, creating a safe and welcoming environment for service users and visitors, ensuring staff are carrying out appropriate work and health and safety is maintained in the building, including assessing risks to clients, the environment and staff, and ensuring the completion of end of day tasks as required

• Manage risks/incidents and respond appropriately, including acting as Deputy Safeguarding Lead for safeguarding issues

• Respond, organise and supervise shadowing requests/professional visits

We are looking for experienced professionals who will perform inspection activities on behalf of The Survivors Trust (TST) Inspection Body to assess specialist rape and sexual abuse support services for conformance to TST National Service Standards. 

The role of an inspector is to investigate, evaluate, assess, and determine the compliance of an organisation for conformance against specific standards within the framework of UKAS inspection requirements.

Training will be provided; however, candidates will ideally have an understanding of performing audit/inspection duties and preferably have a degree or equivalent specific to the sector, e.g. psychology, criminology, counselling etc. or a minimum 2 years’ experience working in the sector. An understanding of the practical applications of trauma informed practice and needs of service users is desirable. They will be familiar with sector specific legislation, have good understanding and application of boundaries to maintain impartiality of inspection activities, and be able to make judgements that are objective, fair and based securely on evidence. They will be clear and succinct communicators with the ability to respond professionally and calmly to challenge. A good level of education, the ability to articulate themselves in a friendly and professional manner and IT competency are essential.

This is a remote-based role and may require some travelling to locations around the UK (expenses will be reimbursed). Title: Male Residential Support Worker (this is a live-in role)

Responsible for: Young people living in the accommodation (4 young people aged 16 – 18 years old seeking asylum in the UK).

Location: This is a live-in, residential role based in a supported accommodation home in Loughborough. Some work will be based in our office buildings.

Hours: 25 hours per week on duty – this is a mixture of day, evening and weekend shifts. Two days a week will be off duty.

Leave: Two nights a month can be taken as nights away from the home. This in addition to annual leave allowance. Annual leave - 33 days (converted into hours) pro-rata for number of hours worked

Overall Purpose

To provide advice, assistance and support to young people in the home, as a key member of the Support Team, delivering Baca’s service in line with our Vision and Values. We are seeking a Sex Worker Independent Sexual Violence Advisor (SWISVA) to provide appropriate emotional and practical 1-to-1 support to people involved in sex work, who often experience stigma and face barriers to accessing services. Working within a specialist sexual violence approach, you will be enabling people to access support and navigate services, including those directly related to sexual violence. You will support them to navigate criminal justice processes if they wish to do so. You will be working in partnership with other agencies and making appropriate referrals for people to access other services to support their wider needs. You will play a key role in advocating for improved responses to sexual violence, including pathways through the criminal justice processes.  

The post is part of a unique partnership between National Ugly Mugs, Basis Yorkshire and POW (Nottingham) to ensure more specialist support for sex workers who have experienced sexual violence, to develop good practice guidelines, develop and share learning, and to influence change in provisions for sex workers. Each organisation will be employing a SWISVA; the program will be led by a Program Coordinator who will be based with Basis Yorkshire, and who will lead on influencing of policy and sharing of learning to improve outcomes for sex workers who have experienced sexual violence   

The main role responsibilities (further outlined in the job description) are:  

• Oversee a caseload of people who have experienced sexual violence

• Ensure that sex workers have access to specialist sexual violence services, including access to the SARC and support throughout the criminal justice process

• Ensure that safeguarding practice is embedded within working practices to effectively support those at risk 

• Work collaboratively with Police, ISVAs and other colleagues to ensure the needs of sex workers are met and their voices are heard within the criminal justice process 

• Advocate for sex workers wishing to access the specialist service, challenging discrimination, exclusion and stigma both for individuals and within the wider community  

• Ensure the service maintains its strict confidentiality and protects the data of those accessing the service

The service aims to identify and address the needs of stroke survivors and carers across the stroke pathway, by providing a range of innovative support solutions, supporting them to meet their desired outcomes. Reporting to the Stroke Association Service Delivery Coach, the Stroke Association Support Coordinator will:

· Support new stroke survivors and their carers from hospital discharge into the community.

· Provide personalised information, advice and support.

· Support clients to make informed lifestyle changes which will help them to prevent further strokes

· Be accountable for volunteers, so experience of recruiting, training and managing volunteers would be an advantage.

Support Coordinator

We’re looking for an innovative, passionate, and professional individual with excellent communication and organisational skills to join our Communication Support Service based in the Hampshire area, specifically South West Hampshire (New Forest area). This is an exciting opportunity to work with stroke survivors and their families to provide communication support following a stroke.

This is a remote working role offering flexible working.

Position: S11203 Stroke Association Support Coordinator

Location: Home-based, Hampshire, however frequent travel will be required as part of this role (may include team meetings or other work-related meetings)

Hours: Part-time, 24 hours per week (flexible working available)

Salary: Circa £17,546 per annum (FTE circa £26,700 per annum)

Contract: This is a fixed-term contract until 31 March 2025. Our services are contracted, we currently have funding for this contract until 31 March 2025.

The Role

The service aims to identify and address the needs of stroke survivors and carers across the stroke pathway, by helping people to develop strategies, rebuild confidence and increase independence with their communication. This may be on a one-to-one basis or in a group setting.

The Stroke Association Support Coordinator will:

· Support new stroke survivors and their carers from hospital discharge into the community.

· Take a person-centred approach to goal setting and support to enable stroke survivors and their carers to improve communication

· Provide personalised information, advice and support.

· Support stroke survivors to make informed lifestyle changes which will help them to prevent further strokes.

· Work collaboratively with NHS colleagues and other areas of the community to make a difference in the lives of people affected by stroke.

About the role:

NCT Parents in Mind is a commissioned project training volunteer peer supporters to deliver peer support to parents of under 2s who are experiencing mild to moderate wellbeing difficulties.  We now run 4 in person groups across the county alongside a remote offer. 

We are looking for a motivated and talented individual to support our volunteer team and service delivery team to support the smooth running of the Parents in Mind peer support service in East Sussex.  This role is to cover a maternity leave and will run initially until March 2025, with the possibility of extension, subject to funding and the colleague’s return.  This role is home-based but will require regular travel (sometimes at short notice) to attend groups in Hastings and Uckfield, so easy access to transport and a flexible approach to working are essential (travel expenses provided). 

Your key responsibilities will be:

• Being the key local contact for service users and supporting their group attendance.
• Building strong relationships with the volunteer team and covering absences at group when required.
• Tracking and monitoring attendance using our database system.
• Networking and making local connections to promote the service and support volunteer recruitment.

It will be essential for the post holder to undertake the training to become a peer supporter. This training requires lived experience or close support of another who has experienced mental health difficulties during the transition to parenthood.
