We are looking for Grants Officer to join our Grants Department responsible for assessing a high volume of grants applications relating to people who are eligible to receive support from The Royal British Legion.
Our team also makes grant decisions to assist those we support, provide information & guidance to colleagues, and generally support the centralised aspects of the Legion grant audit & fulfilment processes.
As a Grants Officer you will work with individuals eligible for assistance directly to deliver welfare support, collaboratively with third parties considering grants towards their own casework and internally with regional specialist teams.
You will be able to demonstrate empathy and judgement while maintaining service standards and helping to safeguard the Royal British Legion’s finite funds. The role involves considerable liaison with external charities & agencies, speaking directly to those we support, and it is anticipated that you will have a good too high standard of communication, planning and organisational skills.

The role
This role is ideal for those who may already be working as a Paid Search or Paid Social Executive and have an understanding of other digital marketing disciplines, such as Email Marketing.
You will be:
- Responding to briefs from a range of internal clients encompassing the Services, Retail, Campaigns, Fundraising and Partnerships teams.
- Creating and optimising pay per click advertising campaigns on Google, Bing, YouTube, Facebook and Instagram, amongst other channels.
- Reporting campaign performance to clients weekly and managing their expectations.
- Ensuring campaigns are running within agreed budgets.
- Producing post-campaign wrap up reports.
- Providing training and technical support for users of our email marketing platform.
- Coaching colleagues across the wider organisation on digital marketing best practice.

- Possess at least 2 years’ experience in a similar role in the private or third sector, or at a reputable agency.
- Have hands on experience of setting up campaigns on key digital marketing platforms.

About the Role
In brief, this role involves being the first point of contact for any IT related issues at Sunbury Court, in terms of reported issues from Presenters, Delegates, Customers or Staff. Key Responsibilities

The client is currently working with 33 schools and 33 churches in developing discipleship pathways for children and young people in Bolton. One key aspect of this project is the ‘Shades Project’, which focuses on racial justice and faith, supporting schools and churches in developing a culture for all children and young people, regardless of racial background, to thrive and flourish. Could you be a part time Caseworker - Young People for vulnerable young people aged between 16 to 25 years? Could you give them the support and guidance they need to get back on their feet and live independently?
The young people we work with have become homeless for a number of reasons – isolation or mental ill health, abusive relationships, substance misuse, involvement in gangs/county lines - their issues are complex so you will need to be able to build strong, trusting relationships so that our customers feel safe and supported.
We have a part time opportunity for a Caseworker - Young People, at our Ofsted registered scheme in St Albans which provides temporary housing for young people who are experiencing homelessness.
A bit about the role:
As a part time Caseworker - Young People, you will be working with a team of highly motivated, compassionate, and dedicated colleagues supporting a caseload of young customers with complex needs. You’ll need to meet each customer weekly to help them with their goals and discuss their progress. And, when someone’s ready to move on, we'll rely on you to help them access the housing register or look for suitable rented accommodation.
What we’re looking for:
You may have worked with vulnerable young people in a paid or voluntary capacity, maybe as a Youth Worker or in an education setting providing pastoral care. You’re a great relationship builder, who can create trust so that our young people feel comfortable sharing their issues with you, you listen but in a non-judgemental way and you are able to spot signs for concern and act on them.
