Key Role

Requirements and skills
- Proven experience in social media marketing or as a digital media specialist
- Excellent consulting, writing, editing (photos, videos and text) presentation and communication skills.
- Adequate knowledge of web design, web development, experience of using content management systems and SEO
- Experience of writing and creating email campaigns using software
- Experience of website and social media analytics and the ability to produce reports that communicate the meaning behind the data with recommendations. Positive attitude with good multitasking and organisational ability with a proactive mindset and great interpersonal skills.

Role overview.
Complete international grant expenditure audits for a diverse range of projects (grant recipients) funded by international donor institutions ranging from emergency aid, to long term development in areas such as agriculture, health or infrastructure or technical research. Assignments are 1-3 weeks in length and based across the European mainland and the developing world. These are offered on an assignment by assignment basis, one to two months in advance.

Requirements
- Qualified ACA / ACCA or equivalent – 5+ years post qualified experience
- Grant management and audit and reporting experience with international institutions. Preference given to individuals that have worked on UN or EC grant assurance assignments
- Diplomacy and cultural sensitivity while working with a hugely diverse range of clients and beneficiaries
- A real interest in international development and associated funding structures
- Ideally but not essential fluency in a second language such as Spanish, German, French, Arabic & Portugese

About the Role
You will line manage Regional Financial Managers, to ensure high quality, disciplined and supportive financial structure is in place to support all programmes under MSI Africa. We are looking for a training and development lead who will design and implement our training and conference programmes. You will work with legal and community organisations to understand their legal needs and tailor the training to give lawyers and advisers the tools they need to help their communities. We already have established conferences and a training programme, working with partner organisations to deliver excellent resources but there is a need to develop this further. You will be supported in the role by the Events and Communications Coordinator.

You will also work closely with other staff to re-imagine and represent existing content in new ways. Principal duties and responsibilities:
- Plan and manage a comprehensive training and conference programme.
- Identify and utilise the most appropriate platforms for delivery of different activity (e.g. in person, e-learning, webinar, podcasts) to make the most effective use of resources and meet customer need.
- · Work with subject matter experts, curating and creating content as needed.
- · Work with and develop relationships with lawyers and advice organisations and community groups to understand their learning needs.
- To develop digital content of the training materials, event video production, design brochures and training materials and keep these up to date and relevant.

We are looking to recruit an Exercise at Home Coordinator, sitting within the Wellbeing & Connections team, to deliver a programme of activities that can support older people with mobility challenges through exercise at home.
The desired candidate will have a Level Three Fitness Qualification (PT) and will assist clients to gain confidence through movement, including chair-based exercise, and walking support for older frail clients in their home. - Running our Exercise at Home programme – assessing new clients in their homes, prescribing exercise programmes for clients that align with their needs and goals, training volunteers to deliver the programmes, and managing the day-to-day running of the project.
- Delivering walking support sessions - these will be tailored to be accessible by those who have either recovered from a fall or have had surgery and need the confidence to access the community. These sessions will enable people to increase their mobility, whilst also having an opportunity to socialise with others in the local community. Training volunteers to assist clients with walking support will be a key part of the role.
- Co-ordinating other community-based physical wellbeing activities, including our monthly Flaneur Walks during the warmer months, and any new projects that arise.

The Role

With an eye for detail, you will use your project management skills to analyse the performance of social media content, refining and improving content through iteration.
You will also have experience of:
- Writing and editing copy to suit different audiences and providing updates and briefings at meetings.

Cancer52 is a national organisation, created in 2007 by Professor Sir Mike Richards, CBE, then National Clinical Director for Cancer, and registered as a charity in England and Wales in September 2017.
We are an exceptional organisation, providing one voice for all those affected by rare and less common cancers. Historically, these cancers have been underrepresented and under-funded. Today, they represent 47% of people diagnosed with cancer, but 55% of all cancer deaths – a hidden majority. Cancer52’s aim is to change this by taking the collective voice of our members to those who influence cancer policy, research, services and treatment.
Cancer52 is recognised for its strong convening role, bringing together our 115 member charities with organisations in industry, government, the NHS and other stakeholders to address the inequalities faced by patients with rare and less common cancers. Our reputation is strong and we are in a unique position to provide a common voice for these underrepresented cancers. The figures for people with these cancers are challenging and there is much work to do.
