This is a role that will sit within our new Psychology and Therapy Hub Team (PATH), designing, developing and delivering interventions across the UK to vulnerable families, including adopted young people, their parents and carers and to adopted adults. The postholder will provide significant input to the development and delivery of the Sensory Pathway and will also provide input to others areas of service delivery within PATH.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• To develop our therapeutic offer specifically incorporating their expertise as an Occupational Therapist with extensive experience and knowledge around sensory processes, in sensory processing assessment and interventionto local authorities and RAAs

• To support our referral process and link with funders

• To carry own caseload of families / young people referred to PATH

• Facilitating reflective groups for PATH families

. • To carry out consultations for PATH families.

• To produce good quality written reports in relation to clinical work

. • Facilitate reflective practice or supervision groups for colleagues within Adoption UK

To offer practical and emotional support to children and young people aged 0-16 years, who are living with the effects of Domestic Abuse and Violence, and overcoming the traumatic impact on their lives. The support is offered during their time in the refuge, through the transition from refuge to their new home and ongoing support in the community. Support is also offered to children who live in the wider community who access the service independently. To liaise and work together with all other agencies involved with the families, in order to meet their ongoing needs appropriately and effectively. What you'll do:

* To ensure that the needs of children and young people in the refuge are assessed as part of admission and the duration of their stay
* To plan and implement a programme of therapeutic and recreational activities for children and young people living both at the refuge and in the community, as well as play-work and activity trips * To provide individual, age appropriate key working sessions for children of all ages. With a focus on safeguarding, including risk and safety planning, emotional & physical health & wellbeing, education and social & family networks
* To encourage and support mothers to build loving and consistent relationships with their children * To work in partnership with all agencies in relation to safeguarding children following both local and national approaches around Early Help Assessments, CIN, TAF and Child Protection Protocols
* To act as the Lead Practitioner in early help assessments and using early help principles to develop support plans for sub-threshold families, ensuring effective multi-agency involvement.
* To write and contribute to the completion of Reports for Courts and Children's Social Care Conferences and meetings regarding the families, when required.

Role Overview

We are looking for a talented fundraiser to join our small and supportive team. The Fundraising Officer (Trusts & Foundations & Events) is a new role to our charity and will play a key part in supporting our future plans.

UP attracts significant support from individuals, and there is huge potential to grow income from Trusts and Foundations with this increased capacity in the fundraising team.

In this role, with guidance from the Head of Fundraising, you will contribute toward income generation through researching and identifying Trusts and Foundations whose criteria match UP’s work, and developing compelling and inspirational proposals and grant applications. Essential Knowledge and Experience

You will have the opportunity to shape processes and procedures within the office which will lead to improvements in the service offered to clients.

To help you establish yourself in this new post you will receive excellent training and induction to SSAFA.

Whilst the post is homebased, to be eligible for this role you are required to live in the North East England or Yorkshire region, which includes North, South, East and West Yorkshire, Teesside, County Durham, Tyne & Wear and Northumberland. About the team

The team works remotely and prides itself in maintaining a close working bond which ensures the smooth operation of the office. You will work closely with volunteers from the eight SSAFA branches in these regions, supporting them to administer casework for SSAFA beneficiaries. The wider support team includes a Casework Manager and a Regional Operations Manager.

About you

To carry out this role successfully you will have a track record of providing welfare advice in key areas such as, housing benefits, debt, disability, mobility or immigration issues. You will have knowledge of safeguarding and GDPR, along with experience in dealing with sensitive information and people in vulnerable situations. You will be able to provide excellent customer service by telephone, e-mail and face to face. You will have used Microsoft Office 365 to a high standard. It is important that you have experience of planning and managing your own workload, with minimal supervision.

It would be advantageous if you have an understanding of the way of life for today’s Armed Forces, veterans and their families, along with supporting volunteers. An understanding of the voluntary sector and preferably the military charity sector landscape across the North East & Yorkshire would be valuable.

Remuneration Package: This role is Band C with a salary range of £33,500 - £43,000. Salary upon appointment will be commensurate with experience and in line with team members in equivalent roles.

As a Technical Specialist, you will focus on providing research and technical support on GBV across a number of SDDirect’s projects. Your role will involve providing research for our two helpdesks, including the Ending Violence against Women and Children Helpdesk (for UK government staff) and GBV AoR Helpdesk (for humanitarian actors). You could also be involved in providing support to knowledge products and guidance material, policy and programme guidance, specialist research, and monitoring and evaluation of GBV programmes.

Reporting directly to the Head of Internal Services, the Finance Officer will be responsible for providing financial administration and bookkeeping for the Trust and the trading subsidiary (Third Age Trust Trading Limited) TATTL. The role also plays a pivotal role in providing support and expertise to the finance team and wider staff body and finally, managing/reconciling the income streams for both Trust and TATTL. In addition, the post holder will liaise with the Trust CEO and Head of Internal Services to prepare the monthly payroll, liaise with the payroll agency, input monthly HMRC (NI/PAYE) payments to the bank and produce the VAT returns for the Trust and TATTL and will take a lead on completing the consolidated VAT return on a quarterly basis. You will also be responsible for managing the finance inbox, reviewing external and internal enquiries, troubleshooting, and escalating issues as required. You will also take responsibility for ensuring that expenses and invoices are compiled correctly ahead of time.

The successful candidate will have significant experience in a similar position and have strong numeracy and analysis skills. AAT qualified or part qualified the ideal candidate will be comfortable with financial administration and will demonstrate outstanding attention to detail. Experience of processing VAT returns is not essential but desirable for this exciting opportunity. The right candidate will be highly organised with excellent time management skills and will have the ability to work to tight deadlines.

About the Role

We are looking to appoint an Internal Communications Officer who will play a critical role in developing and shaping the organisation’s internal communications for the staff of the Connexional Team.

The post holder will work closely with Senior Managers to ensure that the Team’s values, mission and updates are effectively communicated to all Team members working across several sites and from home, to foster a cohesive and motivated work environment.

In this crucial role, the Internal Communications Officer will be responsible for establishing and managing channels for staff feedback to leadership, producing engaging content for various channels, and organising and delivering internal events.

The successful applicant will also provide support and training for staff on communication tools and practices, encourage staff to be ambassadors of the Church, and plan and approve regular communications to be sent out to employees including staff newsletters and newsletters from Team members.

About You

About this key role

Our successful candidate will coordinate bookings for London and South-East regional projects and oversee staff members that deliver facilitation sessions and volunteers, plus monitor deliverables for all designated projects, escalating to managers any barriers to deliverables being met.  You will also be expected to line manage facilitators and volunteer staff members, providing regular supervisions and daily contact, advice, and guidance, and to oversee their movements, personal development plans, and ensure staff receive appropriate training to further their development. 

We will also count on you to respond to information request emails and phone calls about the service, providing high-quality and tailored responses, to oversee the management of the service movements and to liaise with partners and funders, gathering information where required, explaining the SOS+ service offers and attending partnership meetings to report back on the progress of projects.  Supporting the SOS+ Service Team Leaders to develop content and disseminate information to professionals is also an essential aspect of this role.
