Advocating for adults and parents with a learning disability and/or mental health struggles, you will support parents through the complexity of parenting, supporting them with all matters relating to their children.

Supporting parents going through child protection, care proceedings and in court hearings, you will help them understand the process and advocate on their behalf.

Ensuring the view and voice of parents are heard, you will ensure the processes are fair and that no stone is left unturned, ensuring every effort is put in place to offer parents every change of success.

The role is permanent contracted 20 hours per week however the likelihood of overtime is very likely due to the busyness of the service.

We are ideally looking for someone with advocacy experience however are open to people with family or mental health experience.

The role is Monday to Friday 9:30 - 17:30

The head office is based in Islington however the court proceedings mean frequent travel.

The Community Engagement Practitioner will be an essential contact and facilitator for existing scheme members. The post holder will provide consistency and enthusiasm across all activities while ensuring all practices are underpinned by co-creation, delivery and future development of the scheme by the members of Connect. This is an exciting opportunity to be alongside our members and to provide day-to-day practical support, signposting, and safe spaces for membership interaction. The total number of working hours is 36 hrs pw. 4hrs per week are allocated to self-study to support the successful completion of your probation and, once enrolled, the Children and Young People’s Practitioner Diploma (Level 4).

Purpose

The HR Administrator role is an excellent opportunity for someone with HR or admin experience, who is interested in starting/progressing an HR career and looking to gain experience in a friendly but busy small HR team. The role provides a day-to-day HR admin service to employees and HR admin support to the part time HR team (two HR Business Partners and the Head of People & Development). This is a challenging but rewarding role that requires you to assess rough sleepers, advising them around their available options and link them in with external services in accordance with their needs. The role will see you most of the time in the Heathrow area

What is the role?

They are seeking a new Account Executive to help grow the membership of Employers for Carers. This is an income generating role as part of the charity’s earned income stream and sits within the Income Generation and Communication directorate.

This is a highly rewarding role for an Outreach Worker to support parents and carers of children under 5 at Westminster Children Centres. We are currently looking to recruit an Outreach Worker in Westminster area to provide accessible information to parents and carers, particularly those who are marginalised, to ensure they receive the support they need in order to increase opportunities and strengthen family life, bringing better outcomes for children.

Fluent in Arabic, the role will include developing an understanding of the local area including services and facilities. You will also need to pro-actively engage with vulnerable and isolated families and carry out home visits, as required. The role will include developing good relationships with health visitors and liaising with other agencies regarding the needs of parents and carers. In addition, the successful individual will help to organise social events to bring the community together.

We are looking for someone who has experience of community and outreach work with diverse communities in an inner-city environment. This will include experience of a wide range of methods/techniques to reach out and engage with isolated individuals/communities. Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, along with the ability to empathise with parents and carers are required. A non-judgmental approach is essential. The ability to network is also important.

A commitment to safeguarding vulnerable adults and children, as well as an understanding of and commitment to equal opportunities and diversity.are essential.
