West Mercia Rape and Sexual Abuse Support Centre (WMRSASC) is partnering with the NHS on a pilot project to provide a range of support services for adult survivors of sexual violence with trauma related mental health needs

The Person

We are looking for a skilled trainer who has experience of working in the sexual violence sector or an aligned field and has knowledge and understanding of sexual violence and its impact’ to join us in this critical work in preventing ongoing sexual harm. In return we can offer you specialist training, support, supervision and the opportunity of working as part of a talented team.

The Role

This exciting new role will be part of a multidisciplinary team that brings together a range of knowledge and skills to support adult survivors of sexual violence with trauma related mental health needs.

Summary of Position:

This role will be required to develop and deliver sexual violence practitioner training and support the delivery of groups for survivors of sexual violence with trauma related mental health needs.

Primary Responsibilities

- To research, develop and deliver a programme of sexual violence practitioner training for delivery in single and multiagency settings through a range of blended learning formats.
- To support the development and delivery of a programme of psychosocial education groups for survivors of sexual violence.
- To support the team is completing assessments for clients accessing the service.
- Collaborate with a range of multiagency partners to ensure the most appropriate pathway of support for the individual survivor.
- Advocate on behalf of survivors of sexual violence to ensure they can have access to a range of services based on need.
- Ensure all risk and safeguarding processes and procedures are followed.
- To promote awareness of training and group offerings for survivors with a range of multiagency partners
- To undertake evaluation and outcome meetings and data reporting to ensure continuous development of training products delivered.
- To manage booking process and associated administration for training delivery
- Represent and promote WMRSASC in meetings and events

This role is based in Worcester. The role holder will be expected to travel across West Mercia as and when there is a need.
Hybrid and flexible working is available and encouraged as part of the Health and Wellbeing Strategy.
Hours: Up to 37.5 hours/negotiable
Salary: £29,439 - £32,020 per annum pro rata

The role of a Step Down Worker is to provide ongoing support to IDVA clients where the risk has been reduced to a safer level or where a client is referred into the service as medium/standard risk.. The post holder will provide ongoing support which is bespoke according to need and will work in a trauma informed way providing holistic support to aid client's recovery from abuse. This post will be part of the male IDVA team and will work collaboratively with the IDVAs to manage case loads.

What you'll do:

Manage a caseload of clients who have been stepped down from high risk IDVA support
Provide ongoing support with a range of client needs including but not limited to attendance at court hearings, mental health, substance issues, and housing support.
Knowledge of the criminal justice system. Understanding of Marac protocols.
Support clients to obtain orders where needed and any other civil remedies available to them.
Working proactively with other members of the team to handle the service caseload and administrative responsibilities.
Attending all court and Case Management hearings with clients
Carry out administration tasks in line with the role as directed.
Supporting clients to set personalised goals in the form of a Safety and Support Plan.
Assisting in the recording and reporting of customer incidents.
Managing any ongoing risks and creating safety plans when required.
Raising concerns of any increase in risk levels to senior IDVAs.
Attend case management session with IDVA Team Leader
Developing productive relationships with partner organisations to improve service outcomes.
Adhering to lone working protocols and maintaining high levels of awareness in relation to the
health and safety of yourself and colleagues.
Encouraging clients to attend relevant programmes when appropriate.
Ensuring Look Ahead Health and Safety policies and local protocols are adhered to

The Bromley by Bow Centre is working with East London Cardiovascular Prevention Group (ELoPE) to recruit a advisor/caseworker that will support social prescribing into secondary care by providing social welfare support to Barts Health patients.

The role will provide caseworker/advice support to people referred into the Centre’s Barts health Social Prescribing service. The role will focus on what matters to the individual and take a holistic approach providing casework level advice on welfare benefits, housing, debt and energy advice.

The caseworker/advisor will work with the social prescribing cardiovascular team and refer to agencies at a specialist level including immigration, legal advice and debt as well as support individuals to access a range of services and activities in their local communities.

The role will build collaborative relationships with the Cardiovascular Prevention Group (ELoPE), including social prescribers and support the delivery of social welfare advice training. This is to enable health professionals to identify and connect people experiencing hardship with the support they need to improve their circumstances and prevent problems developing into crisis.
The role will help shape the Bromley by Bow Centre’s Social Prescribing service so that it reflects the changing environment and helps reduce health inequalities locally.

Social welfare related matters are the main reason people access support from our Social Prescribing Cardiovascular team. We are therefore seeking an Advisor and Caseworker who will support the delivery of this exciting new project.

A unique and exciting opportunity has arisen to work as CYP IDVA supporting survivors of VAWG and raising awareness of domestic abuse in schools for those aged 16-25. As an CYP IDVA you will provide immediate support for victim/survivors of abuse including carrying out risk and needs assessments, safety planning and providing short-term support and onward referral. In addition, you will act as a domestic abuse lead for Solace in Barnet providing advice and guidance to Solace staff and schools.

You will be working as part of a multidisciplinary team and collaborating with external agencies in your work.

In the role of Duty Worker, you will be the first point of contact at reception for St Mungo’s clients and visitors and have the opportunity to create a welcoming and supportive environment within the project. Other responsibilities will include:

• Jointly running the project day to day with other members of the team.
• Working on reception to answer phones, oversee entry to the building, and provide basic advice and support to clients.
• Keeping communal areas and office space clean and tidy.
• Coordinating important Health and Safety checks and other administrative duties.
• Work alongside the team to provide a person-centred support to residents and clients.
• In this role your typical working hours will be Monday – Friday 9am – 5pm.

About the role:

This role is home based with some travel requirements for meetings, training and occasional visits to a local office. You will need to work one Saturday a month with a day off in lieu.

Our Victim Awareness Course is a rehabilitative course designed to reduce reoffending thro?ugh increasing victim empathy and improving attitudes and thinking towards crime.

Like the Speed Awareness Course, it is not designed to humiliate or hold offenders to account but it is intended to educate them to understand the impact that their actions & choices have had on victims, their loved-ones, themselves and the wider community.

As a VAC administrator you will be:

• the first point of contact for all those needing to complete one of our interventions and our partners.
• manage all of the referrals coming into the project using a case management system and work towards increasing our confirmed bookings.
• provide a high quality administration service whilst being compassionate and non-judgemental responding to queries efficiently.
• manage a demanding workload and will need to be able to prioritise effectively and work in a methodical way.

You will need:

• Experience of carrying out a variety of administration tasks including writing letters, managing bookings and responding to internal and external queries in a professional way.
• The ability to communicate with people at all levels; offenders, police, partner agencies, facilitators and volunteers both in verbal and written format.

About the role:

This role is home based with some travel requirements for meetings, training and visits into one of our offices for printing and postage. The post holder will be required to work one Saturday a month with the remaining hours scheduled flexibly (4.5 hours a day) and can be discussed at interview. Our Victim Awareness Course is a rehabilitative course designed to reduce reoffending thro?ugh increasing victim empathy and improving attitudes and thinking towards crime. Like the Speed Awareness Course, it is not designed to humiliate or hold offenders to account but it is intended to educate them to understand the impact that their actions & choices have had on victims, their loved-ones, themselves and the wider community.

As a VAC administrator you will be:

• the first point of contact for all those needing to complete one of our interventions and our partners.
• manage all of the referrals coming into the project using a case management system and work towards increasing our confirmed bookings.
• provide a high quality administration service whilst being compassionate and non-judgemental responding to queries efficiently.
• manage a demanding workload and will need to be able to prioritise effectively and work in a methodical way.

You will need:

Experience of carrying out a variety of administration tasks including writing letters, managing bookings and responding to internal and external queries in a professional way.

The ability to communicate with people at all levels; offenders, police, partner agencies, facilitators and volunteers both in verbal and written format.

Experience of using a case management system to record client information and manage course bookings.

To demonstrate effective and compassionate customer service across a diverse customer base.

A unique and exciting opportunity has arisen to work as Mental Health IDVA co-located in Mental Health Services. As an MH IDVA you will provide immediate support for victim/survivors of abuse working with mental health including carrying out risk and needs assessments, safety planning and providing short-term support and onward referral. In addition, you will act as an domestic abuse and mental health lead for Solace in Barnet providing advice and guidance to Solace staff and mental health teams.

You will be working as part of a multidisciplinary team and collaborating with external agencies in your work.

The Public Law team at Central England Law Centre (CELC) provides legal advice and representation to clients across the Coventry and Birmingham area under a Legal Aid Contract.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join Reprieve’s small, collaborative and dynamic fundraising team to help manage and grow our grants income, with a focus on trusts and foundations, and statutory donors.

Reprieve is fortunate to have the support of many long-standing funders who believe fervently in our mission, and in Reprieve’s ability to drive change. Working with the Head of Development, you will take ownership of relationships, build strong partnerships with donors, and harness opportunities to add value, and deepen our collaborations. The Bromley by Bow Centre is working with the Primary Care Network (PCN), Bromley by Bow Health & Stepney Health CIC, to improve access to social welfare advice and help meet the needs of some of the most vulnerable patients and families locally.

The role will provide generalist social welfare advice to people referred into the Centre’s Social Prescribing service. The role will focus on what matters to the individual and take a holistic approach, providing welfare benefits, housing, debt, food and energy advice.

The Generalist Advisor will work with the Centre’s Advisor and Caseworker and refer to agencies at a specialist level including immigration, legal advice and debt as well as support individuals to access a range of services and activities in their local communities.

The role will build collaborative relationships with GP practice staff, including supporting the delivery of social welfare advice training to enable health professionals to identify and connect people experiencing hardship with the support they need to improve their circumstances and prevent problems developing into crisis.

The role will help shape the Bromley by Bow Centre’s Social Prescribing service so that it reflects the changing environment and helps reduce health inequalities locally.
