We need a talented community organiser to work with us on an exciting project to help wildlife flourish in urban areas across Winchester, Basingstoke and Petersfield and bring people together to tackle the climate and nature emergencies, as part of Team Wilder. This person will be working with and supporting communities, individuals, local groups and volunteers across Hampshire. 

The role will focus on catalysing and supporting self-sustaining community led initiatives to support wildlife –this could be anything from greening community spaces or streets, improving areas for particular wildlife such as pollinators, bats, swifts or hedgehogs to setting up groups to tackle problems such as litter or household pollution or influencing others, including local government and businesses, to take action. This role will also require key partnership engagement and the ability to see opportunities to link Wilder to existing and emerging third-party initiatives. This role sits within the Advocacy and Engagement team and will work with others in the team and across the Trust to help build Team Wilder as a key strand of the Trust’s strategy.

The Association of Chairs (AoC) is looking to offer a 6-month, 3-day a week role, ideally suited to someone looking for a first job or to gain experience in the charity sector. Crisis is the national charity for people experiencing homelessness. In 2024 we embarked on our new 10-year strategy for ending homelessness. We know it is not inevitable. We know together we can end it. 

Location: Based onsite either Crisis Skylight Merseyside, 96 Kent Street, L1 5BD and partner agencies on a rota basis.

About the role 

As an Engagement and Assessment Worker, you will be the first point of contact for someone who comes to Crisis for help to prevent or end their homelessness. You will: 

• Welcome them to the service on site and at partner agencies,

• Listen carefully and non-judgementally to their story,

• Complete thorough Crisis and Mainstay assessments using a trauma informed approach,

• Agree realistic options and the support needed to assist them to prevent their homelessness or a pathway out of homelessness.

• Help them formulate a holistic plan and help them take the initial steps, where necessary. 

• Hold a caseload of members who require short term intervention to end their homelessness. 

About you 

To be successful in this role you will have: 

• Experience of working successfully with disadvantaged/or socially excluded groups and individuals, utilising a psychologically informed approach. 

• Ability to deliver excellent customer service, ensuring accessible, welcoming, and safe ‘front of house’ environment in a busy service. 

• Experience of assessing presenting needs, and an understanding of strengths-based assessments. You will have empathy and understanding of the barriers to accessing services. 

• Ability to manage successful relationships with external agencies and relevant service providers and successfully advocate on members behalf. 

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills used to ensure accurate record keeping on a variety of Case Management Systems/Databases. 

• Excellent organisation and prioritisation skills, with the ability to successfully manage a busy and diverse workload. 

• The ability to use your own initiative to contribute to the effective running of the service and to work flexibly as part of a team.

• Homelessness, housing, mental health, harm reduction services.

Job Title: Events Fundraising Officer

Reports to:  Challenge Events Manager

Hours: 37.5 hours, Monday to Friday 9-5pm (including some evening and weekends)

Role purpose: You will be leading on a number of the charity’s large events, overseeing on the day event logistics, marketing, planning and fundraiser stewardship. All with the aim of increasing potential income from participants.

More about the role

As a Rehoming Operations Manager, you will provide direct line management and leadership to our Centre Managers, fostering a culture of performance improvement, development, and empowerment. Your hands-on approach will ensure that quality and standards of pet care are upheld across both on-site and off-site services through regular site visits and data assessment. By identifying potential issues and implementing effective solutions, you’ll drive the highest standards of care for our horses. 

In this dynamic role, you’ll drive continuous improvement in the throughput and turnaround of horses in our centres while maximising service quality and efficiency. You will facilitate the development of horse-centred care and exceptional customer service, working collaboratively with other Rehoming Operations Managers to enhance our foster and home-to-home services. This is a full-time position, working 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday. As the role involves frequent travel, candidates must live within a one-hour commute of either our Burford or Rolleston-on-Dove sites, and be able to travel to other sites as needed.

This is an exciting opportunity to join Project Indigo, an LGBTQIA+ youth project run out of Off Centre at Family Action that fosters a safe space and sense of community amongst LGBTQIA+ young people in Hackney.  We support young people aged 16 to 25 through offering them a weekly facilitated social space and 1-to-1 support and advice sessions.  Having run for almost a decade, Project Indigo is well known in Hackney, and works alongside local LGBTQIA+ projects, as well as mental health and youth services.  Project Indigo maintains a youth-led and person-centred approach, with this role being developed in consultation with our members to address the barriers they face in accessing sensitive therapeutic support.

We are seeking a motivated and empathetic counsellor/psychotherapist to offer therapeutic support to members of Project Indigo, our LGBTQIA+ youth group.  The counsellor will make a positive impact and expand Project Indigo’s offer to include 1-to-1 counselling, including sessions up to 24 weeks and therapeutic drop-ins.

Off Centre is a service that provides a range of targeted mental health focused support services to young people aged 16 to 25 who registered with a City and Hackney GP.  These include: individual, counselling and psychotherapy, individual and group art psychotherapy, key-work support, out of hours drop-in service on Thursday evenings, targeted provision for children and young people of African, Caribbean and mixed heritage (ACH), and an Information and Advice provision.

Main Responsibilities:

· You will provide affirmative therapeutic support to our LGBTQIA+ young people who identify under the LGBTQIA+ umbrella or are exploring their sexual orientation or gender identity; including 1-to-1 therapeutic support, sessions up to 24 weeks and therapeutic drop-ins.

· You will enrich Project Indigo’s holistic offer by providing a safe, confidential and affirmative therapeutic space for our members; supporting young people with a range of difficult life and/or mental health issues, which may include bereavement, domestic violence, relationship difficulties, sexual abuse and trauma.

· You will maintain an in-depth knowledge of issues facing young LGBTQIA+ people, in particular trans and gender diverse people, and will have clinical experience working with this group.

· You will maintain an understanding of LGBTQIA+ identities, as well as intersectionality and the multiple oppressions faced by our diverse group members, in particular racialised, neurodivergent and/or trans and non-binary people.

· You will address the diverse needs of our young people by maintaining an intersectional and person-centred approach.

· You are BACP /UKCP (or equivalent) registered with proven experience of working affirmatively with LGBTQIA+ young people in a clinical setting and/or evidence of in-depth knowledge of how to support LGBTQIA+ young people, in particular trans and gender diverse young people.

What you’ll do

As part of our Health team, the Initiative Lead – Healthy Markets Initiative (HMI) is responsible for driving our health-focused campaign strategy, collaborating with institutional investors, and pushing major corporates to improve their nutritional standards and consumer health impact. This role is key to advancing corporate accountability, deepening stakeholder engagement, and integrating health as a critical aspect of responsible investment practices. The Initiative Lead plays a vital role in our projects and campaigns by refining our strategy, prioritising target companies, and leading the execution of our Healthy Markets Initiative.

A typical week will see you strategising with investors, refining the financial and moral case for corporate health improvements, leading discussions with major food and beverage companies, and drafting impactful communications to stakeholders. You’ll regularly engage with institutional investors and corporate leaders, forming strong relationships and using your expertise to influence better nutrition and health outcomes within the food and beverage sectors.

Finally, in this role, you will help ShareAction harness the power of investment to build a world where the financial system promotes health and wellbeing. As the Head of Operations, you will have oversight and management responsibility for all operational aspects of service delivery. JOB DESCRIPTION

Job title: Young Carers and Young Adult Carers Team Leader

Job aim: Our carers, aged between 5 and 25, provide support to a parent, sibling or other family member due to disability, a long-term illness, poor mental health and/or addiction. You will lead and provide day to day operational management to the Young Carers (YC) and Young Adult Carers (YAC) team so that they can effectively provide support to these young people, whilst also raising awareness of Carers Bucks services across Buckinghamshire.

Location: Hybrid. A minimum of 2 days a week from home with the other days working flexibly from home or in the community, as agreed by your line manager, with attendance at our Aylesbury office as and when required.

Main Responsibilities:

These include, but are not limited to:

• Act as the Designated Safeguarding Lead and attend regular training and refesher courses.

• Day to day management of the YC/YAC team- establishing and maintaining a positive and effective working environment and dealing promptly with any interpersonal issues

• Ensure that all data relating to carers is stored correctly using our internal database, Charity Log.

• Create and review reports using Charity Log, for the purposes of monitoring and to help identify gaps in the service.

• Work with the Service Manager to develop services and maintain an in-depth understanding of the needs of the YC/YAC who are accessing our services.

• Actively promote inclusive practice.

• Lead and facilitate team meetings.

• Provide staff with feedback regarding their individual performance via quarterly supervision sessions and annual performance reviews.
