The Role
Reporting to the Infrastructure and Service Desk Manager within the Technology Team. The role of the Senior Infrastructure Engineer will work primarily within Azure & Microsoft 365 technical stack as we continue to adopt more of these technologies.
The role will require:

The Role
The Volunteer Recruitment Officer role is critical to the charity's long-term sustainability. It is pivotal in ensuring our branches have the volunteers and guidance they need to support our clients in the future.

Overview
Digital Transformation is a key enabler for THET to help advance access to health services in low-and-middle-income countries, via activities such as building online communities, online learning for health workforces in complex and humanitarian settings, e-health, amongst others. We want to transform our use of technology to achieve greater efficiencies and effectiveness, improve inclusivity and equity and reduce our carbon footprint.
Our Digital Transformation Strategy captures THET’s efforts to transform our own programmes of work and the way we operate, and that of the Health Partnership community, to better incorporate and enable best practice in digital solutions.
This role will be crucial to leveraging Digital to maximise the strategic impact and success of THET's digital initiatives.
Objective
The Digital Transformation Strategy Consultant will lead the review of THET’s Digital Transformation Strategy, ensuring it is fit-for-purpose in an evolving context and helps to position THET as an NGO at the fore of digital transformation. The consultant will work with teams from across the organisation, including the Senior Management Team, to ensure the strategy is relevant, supported and achievable.
Actvities
The Consultant is expected to be responsible for the following activities, although some changes may be made, in discussion with the Consultant.
- Lead a participatory strategic review of THET’s Digital Transformation Strategy and plans.
- Work with a core oversight group, for the purposes of this review.
- Gather feedback from relevant stakeholders, including Health Partnerships as appropriate.
- Make recommendations for change in focus, and implementation, including required capacity (within agreed parameters).

Project Scope and Time Commitment?
The aim of this role is to produce two conferences:
- Trust Education Leaders Conference North (Feb/Mar) in Manchester

Each conference takes about 14 weeks to plan and deliver working 2-3 days a week.

Dravet Syndrome UK (DSUK) is a small independent UK charity dedicated to improving the lives of those affected by Dravet Syndrome. Dravet Syndrome is a rare neurological condition that affects around one in every 15,000 people in the UK. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Working closely with the regional delivery teams and reporting to the Director of Programmes, the key responsibilities will be to:
1. Manage our Monitoring, Evaluation & Learning (MEL) processes. (50%)
- Work with the Director of Programmes to refine and improve the overall approach to SOHK impact management processes and the outcomes framework.
- Oversee the use of data collection tools and approaches that are appreciative of the practicalities, yet uncompromising in our ambition to achieve sector leading recognition with regard to MEL.
- Work with and support regional managers to ensure timely, accurate and regular cycles of data collection throughout the year.
- Provide coaching and support to the delivery team, including training sessions that will ensure a thorough understanding of MEL processes and measurement tools.
- Closely monitor survey completion rates, identify data collection gaps and devise a realistic plan to help fill these gaps.
- Work with the delivery team and Director of Programmes to create engaging ways to gather feedback data from young people participating in the programme, ensuring the centrality of youth voice.
- Design, plan for and implement the means by which long term outcomes are measured, post programme.
2. Oversee the processing and analysis of data (30%)
- Lead on the data processing, analysis and internal impact evaluation from our feedback surveys and data collection methods.
- Identify and implement new ways for data quality, accuracy and completion to be improved across the organisation.
- Alongside the Director of Programmes and Regional Managers, ensure that learnings are understood and embedded into the delivery teams so our programmes are constantly refined and improved.
- Establish regular feedback loops to the delivery teams – both formal and informal - creating a consistent and regular flow of data insights.
- Create a learning culture in which data isn’t scary or about performance management, but about learning, improvement and consistency.
- Undertake thematic analysis of qualitative data, including feedback from young people, team members and other adults, to identify any learning that can be fed back into programme design.
- Establish evaluation methodologies that ensure feedback from the young people on school of Hard Knocks programmes are heard and considered.
- Share back insights and learning from impact management to key stakeholders, with the support of the Director of Programmes.
3. Support our Fundraising and Communications (20%)
- Support the Fundraising Team as they identify, cultivate and inform existing and new funding partners by providing them with our insights and evidence.
- Support the Marketing & Comms Manager with insights, case studies and any relevant data as they curate compelling annual reports based around our impact.
ABOUT YOU
Essential Skills & Experience:
- Experience of designing and implementing evidence and learning frameworks.
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills, including experience with data analysis, and a clear understanding of the importance of data quality and management and its importance to analysis and assessment.

Retail People Manager

Working Hours: 37.5 hours per week Monday to Sunday (5 days) acting as an emergency contact on a rota basis one weekend in four.
The Lighthouse retail portfolio prides itself on innovation and creativity ,offering the sale of preloved goods in an array of shops within local communities. Lighthouse retail has 34 stores across Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire run by paid staff and volunteers. Our retail vison revolves around ‘The People’ within the organisation with a view to invest and develop to reach our fullest potential.
The People Manager will be responsible for overseeing the staffing across each one of our stores, ensuring that shops are fully staffed day to day. They will need a practical and engaging approach to enable staff to thrive in their roles and feel supported to meet the charity’s vision and mission. They will work alongside the rest of the retail team ensuring the aims and objectives of the people strategy are achieved.
Key Tasks & Responsibilities:
People Management
- Be responsible and accountable for the day-to-day operations relating to the people side of retail.
- Ensure the shop team and volunteer relationship is a professional and successful one
- Act as the first point of contact for the volunteer administrator in relation to volunteering matters and queries for retail.
- Effectively communicate any relevant information to all shop teams regarding updates, charity activities, incentives, and performance.
- Work closely with management and employees to embed changes and ensure solutions are realistic and sustainable.
- Be able to work closely with the retail management team including the retail sales manager to ensure the people side of the charity is not impacting sales.
- Overseeing the retail portfolio sickness and absence management including allocation and approval of annual leave throughout the year, forward planning contingency strategies ensuring shops are covered all the time even at short notice. Ensuring staffing hours do not exceed there’re banding allocation.
- Be competent in assisting with grievances, supporting with investigations and assisting with disciplinaries.
- Act as deputy safeguarding lead as and when required. Be able to act in an advisory capacity demonstrating a higher level of experience and understanding when dealing with safeguarding issues that arise.
- Be responsible for overseeing and leading with probation placements across our retail sites, acting as point of contact and ensuring that the relevant paperwork is up to date including the risk assessments for each placement.
People Development
- Ability to mentor and support staff through regular one to ones ensuring that they feel fully equipped to achieve optimum success in their work.
- Collaboratively with the HR team review and update the volunteer induction and training programme ensuring all aspects are relevant to the retail portfolio.
- Support staff with capability and performance issues including the management of their own staff issues such as, sickness, disciplinary, grievances and concerns through probation periods.
