Overall purpose
Your primary responsibility will be to lead Breaking Barriers’ employment programme in Birmingham and the West Midlands, and support the Senior Employment Services Manager and Director of Services in ensuring high standards of quality and efficiency in the support we provide to clients.
Working closely with the Senior Employment Services Manager, you will take ownership of delivery within this region and lead on the delivery of the contract, including maintaining effective external stakeholder relationships and providing accurate and timely reporting. You will line manage and support a team of Employment Advisers (“Advisers”), enabling them to provide high-quality support to clients and coordinate the day-to-day operational activity which keeps our programmes running.
You are a highly organised and effective worker who knows when to adopt a creative approach and when to follow the established process. You will have an empathetic manner, be willing to go the extra mile to support clients and be proactive in looking for ways to improve our service. Lived experience would be helpful but is not essential.
In addition to exceptional people skills, you will be a strong communicator and possess meticulous attention to detail. You will be confident working autonomously, helped by excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritise and cope with interruptions.
You should have at a demonstrable track record of transferrable work experience in coordinating service delivery, projects or programmes, or another relevant field. Equally important is a demonstrable commitment to working with marginalised populations who face barriers to employment, particularly refugees. A strong interest in employability support and experience delivering employment programmes or careers advice would be a strong advantage.

We are looking for a Commercial Senior Manager / Associate Director to drive the next phase of the No Interest Loan Scheme (NILS). The NILS pilot has already lent over £10 million to more than 13,000 financially vulnerable people, demonstrating the positive impact of affordable credit. This is a unique opportunity to lead a multi-million-pound programme through its final stages and oversee its strategic scaling for long-term sustainability.
The scheme is currently funded by HM Treasury, JP Morgan, and Fair4All Finance. We are looking for an experienced senior lead with a background in both commercial delivery and business case development, fluent in working with the public sector, mainstream finance, and civil society to oversee the final stages of the pilot delivery and to take charge of scaling up NILS.
Key Responsibilities
· Lead the No Interest Loan Scheme (NILS) Programme: Oversee the final delivery phase of the NILS pilot, with the Programme Delivery Manager
· Develop the Business Case: Build the long-term commercial model and business case for NILS, identifying sustainable funding solutions and influencing senior stakeholders

The Helen Bamber Foundation (HBF) is a specialist UK charity which provides expert care and support survivors of torture, trafficking and other extreme human cruelty. We work with hundreds of clients every year from all over the world.
The expertise of the Foundation is renowned in the field. Through the Model of Integrated Care, HBF offers survivors access to an individually tailored programme of specialist therapy, medical advisory services, legal protection including providing expert medico-legal documentation as part of the MLR Service, welfare and housing support, and creative and skills activities within an integration programme. Survivors of human trafficking benefit from HBF’s counter-trafficking programme of support.
OVERVIEW OF THE ROLE
HBF is seeking an experienced and dynamic lawyer for an interim period to give direction to the Legal Protection, Medico-Legal and Client Services of the Foundation. This role is crucial for advancing the rights and protection of our clients, many of whom are vulnerable individuals seeking asylum or are survivors of trafficking. We do not provide legal representation directly to our clients, instead we act as a support team to our clients and their legal representation by providing second tier advice. The successful candidate will provide strategic leadership, ensure the highest standards of legal protection, and contribute to the overall mission of the Foundation including developing relationships that promote HBF’s expertise and reputation. This role requires exceptional people management and communication skills, with the ability to effectively lead a team, foster collaboration, and articulate complex legal issues clearly to both internal and external stakeholders.

Crisis is the national charity for people experiencing homelessness. In 2024 we embarked on our new 10-year strategy for ending homelessness. We know it is not inevitable. We know together we can end it.
It is an exciting and important time to be joining us at Crisis. We work with thousands of people across England, Scotland, and Wales so they can leave homelessness behind for good. We have recently adapted the way our services work to maximise our impact in ending homelessness. We have increased our capacity to work with people one to one and strengthened our ability to support those people facing the most barriers to preventing or ending their homelessness.
Location: Crisis Skylight Birmingham, 303 Rhubarb Building, 25 Heath Mill Lane, Digbeth, B9 4AE.
You will be able to work from home one day per week in line with Crisis’ Hybrid Working Policy. You will be expected to travel around Birmingham and wider West Midlands on a regular basis to meet with partners and stakeholders. National travel i.e., to London Head Office or other Skylights will take place on average once every six weeks.

The Director of Crisis Skylight Birmingham will be responsible for leading and developing strategic partnerships across Birmingham and the West Midlands region. This is an exciting opportunity to develop and lead the service into our new 10-year strategy, influencing key local and national political, community and business leaders, partners, and providers to drive forward our strategic priorities all with the aim of ending homelessness. You will play a key role as a decision marker on the Client Services Senior Leadership Team, along with your counterparts from across the different regions of the UK.
About you
We are looking for an experienced, innovative, compassionate, bold, collaborative senior leader from the homelessness, health, safeguarding or associated sectors. You will have experience of building relationships with senior leaders to develop strategic partnerships with the aim of achieving strategic objectives including but not exclusively, in areas of change management, strategic development of services,.& leading collaborative partnerships that directly contribute to achieving performance targets You will have the motivation, commitment, and vision, able to influence a range of audiences and able to articulate a compelling case for change to key decision makers across the West Midlands . You will be a leader in your field, with experience of operational delivery, ensuring high quality and safe services to vulnerable adults, with the ability to provide clear leadership to your team.

We are seeking a skilled, dedicated and experienced financial lead to ensure careful financial management of our organisations, and to oversee our work with a number of partner organisations to which we outsource operational services.
The Movement for Reform Judaism and Liberal Judaism are separate organisations, which are currently working towards coming together as one charity. The successful candidate will initially be employed by the Movement for Reform Judaism, working closely with Liberal Judaism as a partner organisation.
A qualified accountant (CIMA, ACA, ACCA), who is a strong multi-tasker, you will have a proven track record of leading a team and working in partnership with colleagues. This senior role will be responsible for finance and risk for MRJ and LJ, as well as providing accounts, budgets, overseeing audits for 3 other related charities, with an overall combined turnover of £10m.
Using your wealth of experience, excellent financial analysis and management expertise, you be responsible for the timely delivery of management and financial accounts together with the identification and mitigation of risk. You will be both hands-on and will oversee the finance department.
You will be a key member of the senior team working to bring MRJ and LJ together, responsible for ensuring a smooth and seamless financial transition. Working closely with colleagues and lay leaders, you will develop and implement key strategies within your area for the newly formed organisation.
You will have excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to develop long-lasting working relationships with colleagues, trustees and stakeholders. You must be confident to participate and present at Board meetings.
