Job Purpose:
To shape our public engagement and advocacy communications, editorial and digital content strategies to raise awareness of our mission and engage with a supporter base outside of fundraising.
To support our Digital Marketing Manager to achieve our digital mobilisation objectives, ensuring we employ a digital-first approach to building a strong online profile as pioneers for street connected children
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to generate relevant, compelling content to share with our digital key stakeholders.
• Develop communications to support the advocacy activities of the organisation to engage existing and new supporters.
• Work with our Programme Teams in the UK, India and Tanzania to anticipate, research, develop, and write stories, adapting them to excite diverse audiences across a wide variety of media as we campaign for the rights of street connected children.
• Utilising our own evidence and data, create newsworthy stories and content that amplify the voices of street-connected children in the UK, Tanzania and India, engaging with both existing and new supporters.
• Create inspiring multi-channel content and messaging, directly linked to achieving our strategic aims and to showcase the impact of Railway Children’s work and influence key eternal stakeholders.
• Generate inspiring content that will attract a new, broader pool of supporters who are invested in making Railway Children’s vision and mission a reality.
• Use the latest available technologies and techniques on social media to amplify our voice by attracting and recruiting new supporters who share our values, beliefs and mission.
• Work with the Digital Marketing Manager and Strategic Content Manager to ensure that all of our content and messaging is optimised for search engine ranking and keyword activity.
• Develop relationships with relevant media in the rail / transport sector to share our communications.
• Work alongside the Strategic Content Manager to ensure that our key messaging and call to actions are always coordinated, aligned and implemented into wider organisational communications, including Fundraising Campaigns.
• Work alongside the Digital Marketing Manager to generate and optimise content for Railway Children’s digital communication channels (website, email and social media) that engages and influences key audiences to support our vision and mission.
• Publish digital content using our content management and scheduling systems

What the job involves
We’re looking for a Gift Aid, Compliance and Fulfilment Manager to join our busy team on a fixed term contract. With your focus on the day-to-day management of our key supplier relationships, you’ll oversee multiple work streams and competing priorities across complex operations.
With support, you’ll also provide advice to all internal teams on Fundraising Compliance. You’ll understand when and how to dig deeper into risks and escalate as appropriate, acting as a key representative in this area across the charity.
You’ll oversee monthly gift aid claims, ensuring all processes from collection, storage and auditing are compliant and documented. This role is a great opportunity to work across multiple directorates. Your work will have a direct impact on our success and help us make a real difference.
In this role you’ll also line manage three people, working with them to excel in their role. They will support you in managing our key supplier relationships, managing our fundraising stock and having responsibility for the day-to-day management and development of our online shop. Elements of thanking our wonderful supporters also sits within your team.

You’ll have a track record in managing operations, experienced in developing processes, procedures and policies to help support charity wide activity, ensuring internal best practice guidance is created, maintained and shared.

About the role
Location: This is a home-based role with occasional travel to a Society office for wider departmental meetings.

The Information Governance team are the champions of Data Protection and Information Governance within Alzheimer's Society. The team’s overriding objective is to enable all areas of the Society to use information appropriately whilst achieving the Society’s overall aim of creating a world without dementia.
The newly created Senior Records Management Officer role is an exciting opportunity for the role-holder to develop and implement standards and processes for the management of organisational records in compliance with applicable legislation and standards. You will help the Information Governance team to establish a culture of effective records management and support the Society in measuring and maintaining the quality of its records.
Working closely with the other members of the Information Governance team, you will develop a process framework for managing hard copy and electronic records within the Society, propose improvements to the Society's record management systems and be the first port of call for handling records management queries from within and outside the Society. These queries will be from across the Society and could be in relation to service delivery, fundraising, campaigns, IT, volunteering or employment matters.
The Senior Records Management Officer will also support the Information Governance team with other matters including handling personal data breaches, creating reports on trends and recommended remedial actions, managing rights requests, developing, delivering and maintaining learning resources for Society colleagues.
About you
- You will have an expert understanding and experience of records management policies and processes and how to successfully embed them into working practices for frontline staff.
- You will ideally have experience of working in or with an information governance environment.
Working in a fast paced and responsive environment, you will possess good time management and problem-solving skills. - Good communication skills are a must for this role as you will be engaging with colleagues at all levels across the Society.

Specific responsibilities
An applicant appointed to the role will be expected to:
- Deliver engaging training to local and community stakeholders on renewable energy, heat and (potentially) storage technologies.
- Develop and strengthen creative tools, accessible guidance and other materials for community organisations that increase their ability to scope, develop and deliver projects.
- Work with community actors to develop and deliver pro-active local engagement processes that build informed consent and support for renewables within their wider community.
- Support community organisations to plan and deliver sites for development, assisting them to undertake basic options, appraisals, and commission specialist feasibility and other necessary studies.
- Provide input and guidance to help identify and secure funding and finance for project development and implementation.
- Facilitate learning, networking, and sharing between local and community organisations, staff and volunteers, including connecting networks, organisations and individuals to progress ideas.
- Support CSE’s fundraising activities and the development of new models and approaches for the provision of renewable energy, heat projects, and services at the local and community scale.
- Champion to key stakeholders (such as local authorities and funders) the roles which local and community organisations can play in catalysing and enabling renewable energy and local energy projects.
- Foster collaboration and deepening relationships with partners and other organisations who are active and interested in supporting similar areas of work. This might include local authorities, community organisations, community energy organisations, third sector organisations, developers, funders, investors and key supply chain actors.

Essential attributes for this role include:
- Have experience and knowledge of developing and/or delivering heat, renewable energy, or storage projects, including larger standalone renewables projects.
- The ability to research and rapidly synthesise and share key understanding around different renewable technologies.
- Have excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to apply these appropriately to a wide range of people and to relay and translate technical information for non-technical audiences.
- Have a broad understanding of the UK energy system, and the transformations required to tackle the climate emergency.

Community Fundraising Related
Plan, develop and implement fundraising initiatives that appeal to community groups and associations. Devise community related products and resources that will aid community groups to further engage and raise funds.
Research, identify, apply for and secure new local level partnerships or one-off community type donations e.g. from Rotary/Lions Clubs, Musical Groups, Sports Clubs or Supermarket Charity of the Year.
Research, identify, apply for and secure new support from educational establishments such as Schools and Universities.
Promote collections in relevant geographic locations to Leukaemia Care’s hospital hubs or with a link to a supporter, patient or family.
Identify opportunities for Leukaemia Care to raise awareness around the charity’s Hospital Hub locations around the U.K.
Account manage any local community charity of the year partnerships that are secured, e.g. a Golf Club. Be their point of contact at Leukaemia Care.
Represent the organisation giving engaging talks, pitches and presentations on the work of the charity, as well as delivering thank you acceptance speeches where necessary.
Individual Giving Related
Administer and thank gifts from Individuals including one off donors and first-time donors.
Alongside the Community and Individual Giving Manager build rapport and meaningful relationships with identified mid-level donors and prospect major donors.
Research ideas, plan, devise, implement and develop virtual giving as an income stream.
Maximise income by promoting Gift Aid and securing declarations in relation to eligible UK taxpayers.
Support the Community and Individual Giving Manager to run the charity’s Regular Giving Programme, ensuring these committed and longstanding donors/members are thanked appropriately, regularly informed of their impact, and developed into long-term donors.
Support the Community and Individual Giving Manager with an externally run Lottery and our Lottery Players recruitment and retention.
Work with the Community and Individual Giving Manager to plan stewardship events. Be responsible for the logistical organisation of such events liaising with venues, making bookings and handling invitees requirements.
General Fundraising
Work within the Code of Fundraising Practice as set by the Fundraising Regulator and adhere to all relevant financial procedures.
Deliver and exceed targets across a wide variety of areas including Community and Individual Giving; including Mid-Level Giving, Lottery and Virtual Fundraising.
Represent the charity at events and cheque presentations as required.
Raise awareness to encourage support and make the most of any ‘cross-selling’ opportunities to promote other ways to get involved such as running events, gifts in Wills, Recycling, Payroll Giving, Volunteering etc.
Ensure that systems and processes are effective, and that our database is updated and utilised as the central source of information for recording income, supporter interactions and reporting.
Maximise the use of online fundraising tools, digital marketing and social media to increase
the generation of funds from all available sources.
Ensure the work produced across the team is of high quality, and reflective of the values of Leukaemia Care. Record all interactions with fundraisers or potential fundraisers on Raisers Edge NXT, our fundraising database (training will be provided).
Provide cover within the team as needed during periods of annual leave, sickness or where extra resources are needed.
Adopt a strong solution focused approach to help supporters overcome any challenges and maximise their fundraising efforts.
Improve supporter retention and engagement, building strong relationships and long-term supporters.
Ensure all supporters are appropriately thanked and help develop specific supporter journeys.
Assist with enquiries and donations over the telephone and by email.
Ensure that relevant pages on the Leukaemia Care website fundraising information is up to date.
Collate case studies, stories and photographs and share with the Comms Team for promotion.
Provide data to the Community and Individual Giving Manager to support the production of progress reports for presentation to the Senior Leadership Team and/or Board of Trustees.

The role:
Shakespeare's Globe Theatre is seeking a Learning and Teaching Manager to join its Learning team which focuses on delivering a range of exciting projects for young people, schools and teachers.
The Learning and Teaching Manager will play a key role in this team, managing and supporting Learning Coordinators to manage our projects. This role will not involve leading workshops with students or teachers directly. Instead, you will be responsible for developing our products, the strategy behind them, and ensuring that they are delivered to a high quality by the Learning Coordinators who manage them and freelance theatre practitioners engaged to deliver them. You will have management responsibility for 3 to 4 people and, with the support of the Senior Learning Manager, will help them to develop and deliver their best work.
You will also contribute to new projects by working closely with the Senior Learning Manager and Director of Education on bespoke requests from new partners (we get a lot of interesting organisations reaching out to us!) and helping to shape new mission-led initiatives, both in the UK and worldwide.
