We are seeking a passionate and experienced Fundraising Manager to join our small and dynamic team during an exciting period of growth for the organisation. This newly created role will be crucial role in developing and implementing fundraising strategies to support our mission and ensure the financial sustainability of the Charity. It will include identifying new funding opportunities as well as producing several initiatives including building our regular donors, corporate partnerships and legacy campaigns.

Guts UK is the only charity that covers all of the digestive system, from ‘top to tail’ covering the gut, the liver and the pancreas. Guts UK works actively and collaboratively with other charities. Overall Purpose of the Head of Research

• To lead the delivery of the charity’s strategic research aims including managing and further developing Guts UK’s grants programme, managing our small research team, working with research partners and networks to raise awareness of our work and outcomes, further develop impact, and continue to develop and embed patient and public involvement (PPI) in our research.

With the support of our CEO, SLT, and the Board Research Strategy Committee, you will take ownership of this portfolio, further develop and successfully delivery research strategy, and develop our research investment and impact.

We currently have a small Research team, so while this role requires strategic thinking and leadership, similar to charities of our size you will need to be someone who relishes multi-tasking and isn’t afraid to roll their sleeves up to things done. In the long term we are targeting significant growth in our research portfolio, and therefore our team, and so the role will develop and evolve.

The Brent Centre for Young People is the leading mental health charity for young people in Northwest London, helping over 700 young people a year with a wide range of issues. Fundraising at BCYP

BCYP has historically been very successful in raising funds from non-statutory sources, particularly trusts and foundations, and is grateful to hold a number of established relationships with grant- makers. We work hard to ensure that we submit excellent, data-driven applications and evaluations. Until now, applications have largely been submitted by our Fundraising Manager- Trusts & Foundations, with occasional support from a freelance bid-writer. We now want to recruit a new member of the team, to help us to grow our income stream in this area and help us to steward these key relationships.

In this exciting newly created role, you will be responsible for helping to grow our income from grant- makers to design and promote funding opportunities, and to steward relationships with supporters through the giving cycle. You will be responsible for overseeing Dalgarno Trust’s Programmes, and line managing our Community Champions Manager, Health Works Manager, Foodbank, Volunteer and Room Bookings Manager and Youth Programme Manager. 

Purpose of the job:

• To maintain effective oversight of the delivery of a range of projects and programmes being managed by designated managers.
• To ensure performance management expectations are being met by each project and programme and reported to appropriate funders, including internal and external stakeholders.

Duties and responsibilities:

Service delivery management

• To keep abreast of key performance indicators expected to be measured and evidenced for each of the projects and programmes and keep under constant review the need for adjustments in processes to be able to achieve expected performance.

Human resources management

• To ensure performance targets, monthly one-to-one meetings, reviews, professional development plans are in place and in practice for each direct report.
• To work with other senior managers on creating management reports on workforce performance and development.
• To work with other senior managers and CEO to ensure organisational performance and service delivery information is helping achieve business development and growth.

The Local Storytelling Exchange is seeking a highly motivated individual to work closely with the Executive Director to drive forward the scale and pace of impact at the Exchange.

Reporting to the Director of Finance and Operations initially, the role holder will have technical leadership and overall responsibility for managing the Data and Innovation team. This team helps Breaking Barriers maximise the value of its data, by conducting analysis and managing the CRM (Salesforce) and related software.

The team works across all areas of the organisation to improve processes, unlock efficiencies through automation and generate insights from data. They ensure that data is utilised to inform any innovations or refinements to our services.

The successful candidate will be an entrepreneurial manager with a high level of data literacy. We are looking for someone strategic, highly organised and a strong people and team manager. They will be confident at communicating data in a variety of ways to a large range of audiences, identifying key take-aways and the broader implications of the findings on our clients and programming. They will also be able to train others in key data analysis and communication skills.

The Senior Communications Manager is responsible for developing, leading and implementing key aspects of our communications and engagement strategy. Your focus will be to maintain our high reputation and build engagement with key audiences – principally target public audiences, corporate partners, funders and supporters, volunteers, clients, and staff. 

Bridging the gap between senior leadership and delivery, you will be a confident and strategic thinker, but remain excited by the challenge of getting stuck in. You will be comfortable supporting colleagues to deliver activity as well as working independently on your own projects. You will have the knowledge and experience to ensure that the right policies, frameworks and plans are in place for our small team to achieve ambitious plans.

The Senior Communications Manager is responsible for campaigns, PR, content and storytelling, brand and creative, and plays an integral role in internal communications. They also support other external engagement activities, such as digital marketing campaigns, corporate partner acquisition and retention, and public fundraising.

Strong copywriting is essential for this role. You will be able to write, edit, and tailor content for different audiences, and publish it across various channels, including the website, social media, emails, and marketing materials. 

You will enjoy variety. Your day could involve operational planning, developing a new campaign, briefing freelancers and agencies, finding compelling stories, creating our Impact Report, speaking with journalists, working on internal communications, or drafting social media posts.

The successful candidate will have strong emotional intelligence, relationship building and negotiation skills. They will be collaborative and creative, drive projects forward, work effectively alongside the Senior Digital Marketing Manager, and bring people together across the organisation. They will provide supportive, effective management to the Communications and Campaigns Officer, and be an internal advocate for the impact our Communications and Engagement can have.

About the role:

The role plays a key role in developing and delivering our media & communication strategy both internal and external, supporting the Head of Media & Communications. The role is key in ensuring that the public, partners, stakeholders and our people are informed and engaged with the work of Drinkaware.

The key areas of responsibility are:

· Planning, implementing and evaluating Drinkaware’s media and communications activities

· Raising Drinkaware’s profile and voice in the media

· Working across the organisation to create engaging communications

· Leading on Internal Communications, developing and implementing communication plans to ensure staff are engaged

· Supporting the Head of Media and the Senior Leadership Team in managing reputational risk

Supporting Social Media & Content Officer in developing and growing our social media channels (Facebook, Instagram, X and LinkedIn).

· Manage Drinkaware’s press office, responding to enquiries, maximising coverage, drafting media releases and providing an out-of-hours system on occasion.

· Manage key organisational communications related to Drinkaware’s positions, in conjunction with the Head of Policy and Public Affairs and the Director of Evidence and Impact.

· Manage, review and update Drinkaware’s lines to take; its ‘boilerplate’ messages and its standard responses.

· Advise others on Drinkaware tone of voice and brand to help ensure all content leaving the organisation is on brand and enhances our reputation.

· Contribute to feeding media and strategic communications activity into the organisational planning process and overall plan.

· Contribute to key reference documents (organisational key messages; editorial guidelines etc)

· Deliver compelling content and plans to Drinkaware’s stakeholder audiences. Working with internal teams to target funders and other stakeholders including health professionals, police, local government and academics.

· Maximise our profile with B2B audiences via trade publications; social media and news outlets.

· Keep Drinkaware staff informed about Drinkaware coverage and other relevant coverage around alcohol and alcohol harm.

· Develop and maintain excellent relationships with external stakeholders and journalists and build a positive network with media counterparts in Drinkaware partners and stakeholder organisations.

· Work with Drinkaware colleagues to maximise our communications’ reach and ensure we are working in an efficient and integrated way.

· Work with the Head of Media and Communications to develop Drinkaware’s reputation positively across all media, mitigating reputational risk and leading on crisis management

· Work with Head of Communications to plan and deliver effective Internal Communications

· Support the Senior Social Media & Digital Content Officer in manging the Drinkaware social channels when required.

Tone of voice

· Become expert in the Drinkaware Tone of voice, so you can advise others and spot errors

· Support the Creative Content Lead in embedding the Tone of voice across Drinkaware

About you:

You will have a track record of working within a similar role. You will have experience in working in a press office, devising and delivering stories and coverage. As part of our highly skilled, passionate and creative Media & Communications team, you will help to plan, implement and evaluate Drinkaware’s media and communications activities to drive positive coverage and comment about the charity across the UK. You'll enjoy the challenge of using your experience to raise Drinkaware’s profile.

Overall purpose

This is a key role that will work closely with the Senior Communications Manager, Head of Public Engagement and Senior Digital Marketing Manager.

You will contribute to the implementation of our communications, engagement and fundraising strategies, ensuring that your work is anchored in our organisational and team strategic goals. You will also be closely involved in team planning, whether it’s inputting into our operational plan or sharing ideas for new campaigns. 

There are opportunities to get hands-on developing and delivering communications and fundraising campaigns to educate and inspire individuals, businesses, and other audiences. The aim of these campaigns is to help remove barriers to employment for refugees and bring about systemic change via our partnerships. Please note, we do not currently run political campaigns.

You will be responsible for creating and delivering day-to-day communications across our owned channels (social media, email newsletters, and some website content). You will also help colleagues create content for earned and paid communications that they’re leading on (press and media, digital marketing, engagement with influencers)

A team player, you will build strong relationships across Breaking Barriers so that you can source and develop content that:

• increases our visibility and influence
• showcases our impact
• inspires members of the public to help refugees build new lives in the UK
• engages and stewards our key audiences, including corporate partners, employees who advocate for refugees, individual donors, volunteers, and people of a refugee background.

You will support the Senior Communications Manager to maintain our strong brand, ensuring that all our content complies with our brand guidelines and is of a high standard.

With a good eye for detail, you will play a key role in our data management, including overseeing data on the storytelling section of our CRM, monitoring communications enquiries, and setting up and running reports. You will become a Salesforce Superuser (full training and support will be provided for this).

They will have proven experience in both financial and IT leadership roles, working closely with senior managers and collaborating with a range of internal and external stakeholders at senior levels. Strong analytical and communication skills are essential, along with the ability to present complex financial data to diverse audiences to ensure the organisation's financial sustainability. Experience in the charity sector and in developing financial strategy is essential for this role.
