About the role

Alongside the Service Manager, you are responsible and accountable for monitoring, maintaining and providing the highest standards of clinical and personal support and service delivery, while promoting independence and choice to the people supported in the service. You will support the Service Manager to manage and ensure the delivery of the service’s key quality and safety priorities by holding delegated responsibility in key areas of the day-to-day running of the supported living activity/service. You will also have delegated responsibility for the direct supervision and line management of a team of Support Workers. As a senior member of the team, you will promote and lead good practice at all times, doing all you can to make sure that the people we support and their colleagues come to no harm and that the people we support are satisfied with the level of support they receive by acting as an
exemplary role model.

As a Deputy Service Manager, flexibility is important for both you and for the service. You will be required to do on-call shifts during out of office hours. You will be expected to work 20% of your total weekly hours on shift across your assigned services and will be able to role model all aspects of a support worker role duties and responsibilities. Following your time on shift, and in general practice at all other times, you will have responsibility for reporting back to the Service Manager and for maintaining a continual dialogue loop of feedback that focuses on quality, and continuous improvement and learning and ensuring the smooth operation of the allocated group of services.

A full UK driving licence, with access to your own vehicle, is preferred but not essential for the role.

About you

- You will have significant, recent experience at a front-line management level in field of learning disabilities in regulated services which may have included being a Registered Manager
- You will have knowledge of legislation and guidance relating to adults with learning disabilities, CQC regulations and Health and Safety issues.
- You need good IT skills and experience of maintaining records to be a success in this role. 
- You need to hold a Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Adult Care or hold a level 3 diploma and be willing to undertake this level 5 apprenticeship qualification within an agreed reasonable timescale of 18 months as part of a development plan
- You will have the ability to lead and manage people and be a role model in all aspects of people leadership especially performance

What will you be doing?

As a Service Manager at Hft, you’ll be supporting adults with learning disabilities to live the best life possible. You will be a role model to others through demonstrating excellent support to those we support and you will help the Regional Service Managers to coach, support and manage staff teams effectively. You will be responsible for nurturing and inspiring those coming to work for Hft to help ensure we have the best staff teams offering great support services. We believe that corporate ‘Insiders’ have been under invested in, under-utilised and often under-estimated in conversations about how we support a just transition. 

You will be the only staff member but have a lot of brilliant people around you to provide support and we hope that with your support and leadership we will grow to a team of 3-4 over the coming 18 months. 

We are looking for a self-starter who will flourish as a facilitator of insider groups, as a recruiter of Insiders, as an advocate and sector-builder for the insider community and as someone who can put the building blocks in place for an organisation that is set to grow and flourish.

To begin with, you will be hosted at non-profit Impatience Ltd who are providing hosting support to Impatience Insiders. 

PERSON SPECIFICATION 

We are looking for someone with at least six years of professional experience who is: 

1. Confident in supporting bold movement building and encouraging people towards action;

2. Able to work delicately in high trust environments; 

3. Able to work collaboratively with partners; 

4. Energised to search and recruit for Insiders from a ‘cold’ start (e.g. building new relationships on Linkedin, etc.); and 

5. Able to help build the ecosystem which we are a part of.

We are definitely looking for an all-rounder and do not have a particular experience set in mind. We expect to get applications from people from a range of backgrounds including those who have worked in large professional services firms, civil society building, community organising, programme management, financial services, social entrepreneurship, consulting or public affairs. 

We will be looking for people who have had to build things from scratch and are used to working with diverse stakeholder groups and holding a strong sense of purpose.

Helpful but not essential experience/skills: 

1. A background and experience of working within food systems; this could be through having worked hands-on on farms, in the public sector on agriculture policy, on corporate sustainability strategies, or through a master’s degree; 

2. A background in project management, public affairs, and relationship management;

3. A background in movement building, community organising, facilitation and/or advocacy;

4. Experience in fundraising and partnership building;

5. Experience in sales, recruitment, hospitality and/or training;

6. Experience of working in and pushing for change in large organisations.

You will have a few key aspects to your work: 

1. Own and organise the Insiders group. This will include seeking new members to expand our Insider group, while retaining current members by ensuring meetings and work are relevant, interesting and beneficial for members;

2. Work with partners to turn insider insights into campaigns to influence change within the sector;

3. Help plan and deliver the UK’s first ‘Insider Summit’ where we bring together people doing insider work across a range of industries and forms;

4. Seed and support new insider groups;

5. Help develop the methodology for insider group development;

6. Build relationships with potential funders and pitch for further core or project-related funding; 

7. Project-manage external agencies that are conducting delivery work for each project, from conception through to delivery and dissemination with civil society organisations, government, media and/or investors.

Partnership Lead

Job Purpose

The Partnership Lead will play a key role in operationalising and overseeing the support for approximately 34 school hubs across England, contributing to local school improvement. They will also take the lead in operationalising the renewal of all schools across the Challenge Partners network.

Schools within Challenge Partners subscribe annually and join forces in local hubs,  spanning England from Cornwall to County Durham. The hub works together over the course of the academic year pulling together a Hub Action Plan, which aims to tackle collectively agreed priorities using funding from Challenge Partners. Challenge Partners hubs provide the local element of our collaborative partnership. 

The Partnership Lead will build and manage relationships with a wide range of stakeholders and hold responsibility for ensuring all hubs have everything they need to provide an excellent experience to schools. They will also support the renewal of all schools, through leading excellent Customer Care practices and operationalising the annual retention campaign, working with the Partnership Development Manager. They will work closely with the Partnership Experience Manager and the team of Partnership Coordinators to ensure excellent delivery.

Established in 2011, Challenge Partners is a well-respected nationwide network of practitioners who engage in hard-edged collaboration and mutual accountability to ensure every school community can benefit from the combined wisdom of the education system. 

Key Responsibilities

Reporting to the Partnership Experience Manager, the Partnership Lead will have the following key areas of responsibility and will be expected to undertake other responsibilities commensurate with the role as requested:

Partnership Delivery and Development

Individual Partnership Delivery and Development responsibilities: 

• Implement the annual cycle of hub work, including planning and implementing key partnership correspondence, activities and events.

• Support up to five hubs of their own, working closely with internal teams to ensure a high-quality experience for schools across all selected Challenge Partners activities.

• Lead the renewals campaign for all schools across the partnership, proactively escalating any renewal concerns, and monitoring and reporting renewals data.

• Oversee the monitoring of the Partnership inbox, ensuring all queries are dealt with by a member of the team promptly and effectively. 

• Manage the Partnership budget; monitoring spending and signing off invoices within agreed budgets, including hub funding. 

• Lead on ensuring an excellent experience for schools in Challenge Partners. This includes, but is not limited to, monitoring risks and mitigating/escalating as appropriate, and leading on Customer Care and Pricing Governance issues. 

• Support the Partnership Experience Manager to deliver improvements to the quality of our hubs, ensuring all schools are getting excellent value. This includes, but is not limited to the engagement of new technologies, processes and ways of working. 

• Lead on the implementation of new strategies for delivery in your areas of responsibility with Partnership Coordinator support.

Support all hub owners through matrix working to: 

• Embed excellent account management, delivering outstanding support for our partner schools, multi-academy trusts and hubs.

• Maintain highly effective stakeholder relationships with Headteachers, trust CEOs, Senior Partners and Hub Managers.

• Induct new schools and hubs, making sure that all are appropriately onboarded to Challenge Partners. 

• Implement Customer Care work, ensuring that all members of the team are able to monitor Customer Care cases and identify solutions.

• Deliver growth and renewals work, enabling schools and trusts to renew their subscription with Challenge Partners.

Data Management and Systems 

• Ensure school data is accurately recorded on Salesforce (our CRM system) and work closely with the Data and Systems Lead to improve systems and processes.

• Monitor and report renewals data to inform renewals progress, predictions and strategy.

• Implementation of annual partnership evaluation work with the support of the Partnership Experience Manager.

Event Planning, Organisation and Monitoring

• Lead on the planning, logistics and delivery of an annual National Induction event for all new and rejoining schools, working with the Partnership Experience Manager and Leadership Team to agree event design.

• Liaise with speakers, venues and suppliers to ensure high quality delivery of the National Induction.

• Coordinate the team effectively to ensure excellent event delivery.

• Work closely with the marketing team to create a social media plan to showcase the National Induction.

• Monitor event quality and delivery, including dealing with and escalating issues to ensure positive solutions are reached.

Line Management

• Provide high-quality and consistent line management for up to two Partnership Coordinators, including regular one-to-one meetings and performance reviews.

• Identify opportunities for personal and professional development for direct reports.

• Provide accountability and support to direct reports to ensure excellent delivery across all Challenge Partners’ activities and meet key organisational priorities.

Matrix Management

At Challenge Partners, we work in a matrix structure which means that individuals collaborate across different work streams and are, at times, task managed by colleagues who are not their direct line manager

• Provide consistent and high quality task management to all Partnership Coordinators supporting activities related to hubs and cultivating relationships with all hub owners.

• Provide consistent and high quality task management to all colleagues involved in school renewals. This includes upwards management of Managers and Leadership Team.

• Collaborate effectively with other line managers and teams to support Partnership Coordinators to provide excellent delivery across all Challenge Partners activities and meet key organisational priorities.

In this varied role, you’ll work closely with the Operations Manager and admin team to ensure the smooth running of our Centre by managing administrative tasks, assisting with IT and communications, and supporting operations and fundraising initiatives. You’ll also play a part in amplifying the voices of our community through social media and helping with community engagement activites.

Bond’s convening power and large reach mean that we can convene diverse audiences on several topics. The events function works across teams to support and lead on the delivery of different types of convening. This covers learning events, practical events and information sharing events, with differing audience sizes, and some events are for Bond members only and others are open to all. Delegates can include senior decision-makers in governance, fundraising, finance, human resources, procurement, programmes, effectiveness, monitoring, evaluation, policy, advocacy, campaigning, communications and marketing.

Main responsibilities

• Creating events in salesforce and uploading them to Bond’s website according to the organisations style guidelines
• To support all digital content of uploading and editing sessions and speakers on the Bond website
• To coordinate logistics for in-person, virtual, or hybrid events. This will include visiting venues in person as and when required and supporting with in person, virtual and hybrid events.
• To manage the events inbox and ensure all delegate and participant queries are responded to in a timely and efficient manner
• Build and maintain key relationships with internal and external partners
• Work with Events Adviser to support events delivery 
• To manage all event-related tasks, including drafting event materials and communications (such as invitations and post-event emails), compiling post-event reports, collecting attendee feedback, tracking metrics, and updating the CRM (Salesforce) with attendance data. Events Assistant

The Events Assistant[CF1]  is a crucial role at the College as you will help and support colleagues in the delivery of events, from administrative assistance in planning the events, to the production of event documentation, branding or collateral, in addition to liaising with events stakeholders, including speakers, programme leads and delegates.  

As Events Assistant, you will provide comprehensive administrative support for online event registration, delegate bookings, delegate communications and associated queries. You will be the first point of contact for event queries, so maintaining a good knowledge of College events and other relevant activities is essential.

Assisting in the research and promotion of opportunities for sponsorship for all events, you will distribute sponsorship packages, confirm sponsorship acquisitions and ensure requirements are fulfilled onsite. The Training Officer (Accreditation) is critical to the work of the College, as you will provide services to both trainees and Certificate of Eligibility for Specialist Registration (CESR)/portfolio applicants, supporting them in completing their training programmes and specialist registration.  

As Training Officer (Accreditation), you will develop a thorough understanding of the RCEM Curriculum and CESR processes, ensuring that all trainees and applicants receive high-quality support and advice in line with continuous developments and changes to College standards and GMC regulation. This is an important role for the College as you will contribute to the efficient regulation and support of specialist training in Emergency Medicine.

Responsible for facilitating and processing Certification for the Completion of Training (CCT), Specialist Registration and CESR applications, including formal notifications to the GMC and coordination of CESR panel reviews, you will provide documentation for GMC CCT Quality Assurance audits and maintain detailed records relating to the CESR process.

Reporting to the Training Manager, you will lead on the recruitment, induction, training and monitoring of CESR evaluators, developing strong working relationships with key stakeholders, including consultants, trainee doctors, Health Education regions, deaneries and lay members.

Degree qualified or with equivalent experience, you should have an extensive background in administering training programmes and complex processes, and have a strong understanding of Microsoft Office and the ability to learn new software packages. CONTEXT AND ORGANISATIONAL VALUES

There are millions of highly educated, well-paid, politically engaged people who care deeply about the world. Every morning, they go to work in professional services firms, knowing that the firms they work for and the industries that they are a part of are blockers rather than enablers to a just transition.

They look for ways to ‘make a difference’ internally but fall at every hurdle. They think about quitting but feel financially tied to their jobs. They become accepting of the fact that things are how they are. They become disillusioned and start to feel helplessness and even shame. They offer little value to the just transition that the world needs and that they themselves yearn for.

Impatience Insiders’ job is to get these people organised, educated, and mobilised on terms that work for them, and turn shame and disillusion into action and progress. Our ambition is to fill a gaping hole in civil society organising infrastructure and create a permanent piece of the civil society landscape.

We are looking to build and invest in a series of insider movements in food retail, management consulting, advertising, public affairs and finance. By 2030 we aim to see the ‘insider movement’ model mainstreamed as a vehicle for private but collective activism for corporate insiders. Insider Movements will be thriving within scores of just transition-critical industries. The successes of early insider movements will be well known and held as examples of how insider power can help transform industries and drive a socially just and environmentally regenerative transition.

Your job will be to help seed and support these movements as well as helping build the broader insider ecosystem.

We are looking for someone with at least one year of professional experience who is:

3. Help with the organising of the UK’s first ‘Insider Summit’ where we bring together people doing insider work across a range of industries and forms;

4. Input on the develop the methodology for insider group development;

5. Support fundraising efforts; 

6. Help with the project-management of external agencies that are conducting delivery work for each project, from conception through to delivery and dissemination with civil society organisations, government, media and/or investors.
