We are currently hiring a Senior Executive to manage some of GOSH Charity’s biggest event partnerships, lead the team’s stewardship activity and play a pivotal role in driving growth within third-party challenge events. 

You will use your keen stewardship and marketing skills to support the recruitment of thousands of event participants and deliver a sector-leading supporter experience. 

The salary for this position is £33,855 per annum. 

About You

This role will lead on recruitment, stewardship and delivery of a range of high value event partnerships, such as the TCS London Marathon and Great North Run, and will be responsible for maintaining excellent relationships to retain top-tier partnerships and deliver growth in net income. 

We are looking for someone with:

- Proven experience working in a fundraising event environment
- Experience of delivering best-in-class supporter journeys and working collaboratively with email, marketing and supporter care teams to support mass participation event participants
- Experience of marketing to recruit large volumes of event participants
- On-the-day event delivery experience, including volunteer management
- Excellent relationship management skills, adept at pitching, securing and delivering high value event partnerships

About The team

This role reports to the Senior Fundraising Manager – Challenge Events and sits within the wider Mass Participation Team.

The Mass Participation Team comprises three teams, including third-party Challenge Events, Owned Events and Products (including new product development and streaming activity) and Virtual events, and is responsible for generating over £6mil income per year.

As Senior Individual Giving Officer, you will: 

• Be responsible for the delivery and evaluation of digital, mail and phone direct marketing campaigns, making decisions on concept, creative and delivery
• Be responsible for campaign reporting and working with the Individual Giving and Insight Manager to optimise the IG programme based on data insights
• Collaborate with internal colleagues to plan and deliver multiple projects, and develop and maintain effective working relationships with external stakeholders
• Support the Individual Giving and Insight Manager in developing and implementing new tools and initiatives to grow income

Ideal skills and experience:

• Supporting direct marketing campaigns in a charity environment
• Able to handle projects from start to finish within given budgets and timescales
• Creating compelling and professional communications for a variety of audiences and channels
• Analysing campaign results and using insight to optimise future campaigns

ABOUT THE ROLE

This is a new post within this service area in which we are seeking an ambitious, person-centred leader to join our team in Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea (RBKC) as a Service Manager. In this role, you will report to the Area Manager, and you will manage multiple dispersed services across the RBKC region, managing a team of 9 support workers. 

The service provides 154 units of accommodation to people experiencing homelessness and who have complex needs. The services are spread across the area and are 24 hour supported accommodation sites. You will lead your service to comply with the needs of our commissioners, residents, and organisation, whilst supporting staff to create a Psychologically Informed Environment (PIE). You will have overall responsibility for your service to deliver high quality service delivery, performance, and improvements. 

We are looking for someone who is experienced in supporting those who face multiple and complex needs, ideally homelessness. Line Management/Leadership

• Manage the end to end employee lifecycle of staff, providing advice, guidance and support as required

Service Delivery

• Work proactively to ensure the service and team meet and exceed Key Performance Indicators, and work in line with professional codes of conduct

Risk Management, Information Management, and Case Recording 

• Follow the relevant risk assessment and management procedures, share any relevant information with partner agencies as appropriate
• Champion, and act as a point of reference for safeguarding concerns within the service(s). Ensure all staff attend relevant safeguarding and training and use knowledge to coach and advise the team

Property and Housing Management

• Create and manage a welcoming, psychologically informed home environment for residents and participants, ensuring a continuous focus on safety, health, and wellbeing
• Ensure the accommodation in which residents live is clean and maintained to a high standard, in line with SIG’s property standards and meets all legal and statutory health and fire safety requirements to operate safely, effectively, and efficiently
• Ensure a provision of a high-quality housing management service to residents

Financial Management

• Manage the service’s budget and review monthly management accounts; manage set budgets effectively and ensure resources are maximised
• Maintain financial management within the service, including but not limited to, invoice management, arrears management, management of petty cash, and expense claims

As the Senior Policy Manager Equity & Equality, you will work closely with the Associate Director for Policy and Public Affairs England to set the strategic direction for the England PPA team, and to deliver its operational plan, as well as deputising for them when required.

You will be responsible for:

- Maintaining an expert overview of evidence and policy relating to equity and equality and end of life experience and leading the development of key related projects to ensure that issues of equity and equality as they relate to those affected by dying, death and bereavement are at the heart of contemporary policy debates.

There are 1.5 million children and young people with a disability (CYPD) in the UK.  Over 3/4 cannot access regular leisure facilities which massively impacts their health and well-being. Furthermore, the impact of living with a disability can have a significant impact on the wider family, with over 72% of parents reporting mental health challenges and over two thirds saying they feel isolated some or all of the time.  
 
Gympanzees’ mission is simple. We want all children and young people living with any disability to have access to high-quality, fully inclusive leisure facilities so that they can enjoy fun, fitness, and friendships and support their families out of isolation.  
 
Sounds simple, but it’s a huge task.  There is nowhere in the UK like this. Anywhere. At all.  But we’re changing that, and we want you to join us! 
 
Since 2018 we’ve been hosting Pop Up’s during easter and summer months, across Bristol, in various special schools which has seen us welcome over 23,500 visitors.  Each one has helped hone and improve our delivery model, and longer-term plans.  These Pop Ups have seen some incredible firsts, including: 

• A 6-year-old taking their first steps 

• A 12-year-old sleeping through the night for the first time 

• A 3-year-old having his first laugh 

• An 18-year-old standing independently for the first time 

Families have travelled from all over the country to enjoy the Pop Ups, some covering 6-hour journeys just for their afternoon of fun! 

During COVID we quickly adapted our offer to include a Lending Library which continues to this day, offering nearly 300 items of specialist equipment, free of charge. 

In 2023 we purchased a new site to develop into a permanent home which will open in summer 2026.  Redevelopment is underway, and so too is an £8 million campaign to support this extraordinary project.

Where you’d fit in 

Gympanzees is a growing team which currently consists of 16 people.  The fundraising team consists of 6 people.  This role is a crucial member of the fundraising team and will be delivering on a vital income stream that is both financially and strategically significant for the capital project.  Overseeing a total income budget in the region of £1.4m across Corporate, Events and Groups fundraising, this role will lead and deliver on the strategy to identify, engage and steward key supporters from across these income streams, with a heavy focus on our corporate partnerships. 

Job description 

As the Business Development Manager, you will play a pivotal role in securing vital income from across the corporate partnerships funding stream, whilst leading a small team to maximise their own fundraising efforts from across small events and group fundraising.  
 
This position is ideal for someone with proven experience delivering the above and especially those with capital campaign experience, but this is not a pre-requisite.  The main focus is on developing new business through corporate relationships. 
 
You'll be tasked with distilling complex information into compelling narratives that effectively convey our mission and objectives while aligning with a corporate partners CSR and ESG strategy.  Energy, confidence and excellent communication skills are essential.  
 
To do this you will need to use your experiences of identifying, developing and winning new corporate support utilising and developing our Corporate Champion scheme, Charity of The Year as well as commercial & strategic opportunities. 

Your approach will be highly organised and methodical to ensure effective and efficient processes lead to meaningful corporate partnerships.

• To work collaboratively across Gympanzees to maximise the potential value of corporate support, such as assisting Gift in Kind and budget alleviating opportunities relating to the redevelopment of the permanent site. 

• Line management and support of one corporate & events fundraising officer who stewards our corporate partners and oversee a small events calendar.

• Line management and support of one fundraising administrator who provides admin support across fundraising, Just Giving reporting, direct comms with groups and individual supporters, whilst also delivering discrete projects such as pieces of research.  

• Ensure that our database and supporter information systems are updated on a regular basis in line with Data Protection legislation and Gympanzees policy and procedures to ensure all records are up-to-date and accurate. 

Please demonstrate to us you are, or have: 

1. Experience of researching and engaging with key decision makers within a corporate environment including but not limited to C-suit and CSR/ESG leads. 

1. Experience of working with and through senior volunteers and committee members. 

1. Experience of success in delivering five, six and seven figure relationships. 

1. Experience of account management or partnership management within charity or private sector. 

1. Ability to work under pressure and manage a varied and competing workload using initiative and creativity to problem solve and deliver success.

1. Excellent written and verbal communications skills to analyse, interpret and present complex information in a clear and persuasive way for a wide range of audiences (including senior) to inspire support. 

1. Proficiency in using Windows based software packages, MS Teams, and CRM databases. 

1. An independent, outgoing, and confident individual, who is results orientated, working on their own initiative, whilst also being a compassionate and supportive line manager who can create the environment for their team to thrive and deliver.

1. Proven ability in accurate financial record keeping and assimilating and presenting data in a clear and accessible format. 

1. Strong business acumen and understanding of how different sectors and organisation might want to engage with a charity.

This role is one of two Development Managers who share responsibility for raising funds from trusts and foundations, and each also manage a discrete other area of fundraising. This role leads on individual giving, while the other focuses on corporate giving relationships.

Your main responsibilities:

• Seek and develop Social Enterprise projects in keeping with our values which are financially viable and meet the need of the communities involved.
• Work with Local Councils, Government bodies and other organisations in the regeneration of the high street, finding new shop opportunities, and developing profitable recycling and reuse projects.
• Build links and partnerships with Universities and similar organisations and deliver rummage sales, kilo sales, pop up shops and donation drives.
• Explore opportunities and develop projects that collaborate with like-minded organisations and corporate businesses.
• To contribute, develop, manage, and report on financial budgets, income and costs regularly with a focus on net surplus generation, working closely with the Finance department.

• Proven track record in researching, negotiating and developing new and net surplus generating projects
• Experience of financial management and budgetary control, and proven ability in business planning, and maximisation of net surplus
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and evidence of using them to communicate with different audiences
• Excellent and natural networking, influencing and negotiating skills, including the ability to collaborate and build partnerships through the development of contacts with senior external stakeholders
• IT literate with good competence in the use of Microsoft Office
• Good standard of Education, preferably to Higher or Degree level

Business Manager - Dementia Support & Partnerships
We have a fantastic opportunity to join the Dementia Support & Partnerships Directorate at Alzheimer’s Society supporting the Senior Leadership Team and its Executive Director

You will be integral in delivering and measuring the success of its ambitious plans as part of our Help and Hope strategy, ensuring that we are there for everyone affected by dementia. The successful individual will lead a team of two Officers who support the business requirements of the directorate to ensure that annual planning, objectives setting, and performance indicators are firmly established and deliver against the Society-wide strategic priorities; as well as ensuring that the directorate is regularly reviewing its performance and assurance activities relating to internal policies and external legislative and regulatory requirements.  You will be experienced in monitoring strategic plans and able to translate your findings to senior leaders in relation to risk and resource to enable problem-solving and decision-making. This role sits within Dementia Support & Partnerships which is a
complex and multi-faceted directorate of over 1100 employees and 2000 volunteers.  The directorate includes our Local and Universal Services delivery across the three nations of England, Wales, and Northern Ireland; commercial and partnerships which oversees the successful end to end management of service contracts, external training, and our service delivery partnerships; and a portfolio of enabling functions that ensure our Services practitioners and managers are provided high quality training and technical knowledge; and delivers assurance activities and legislative compliance relating to safe practice across the entire Society. 
About the role:

- Designing and delivering annual planning and objective setting for the Directorate which align with our Society strategic priorities.

RCS England is one of the most high-profile health commentators in the UK. You will regularly see us advocating for patients and the surgical workforce in the national press. Recent highlights include coverage of our workforce census in The Telegraph and The Independent. Our Faculty of Dental Surgery has also been very vocal about children’s oral health. Candidates should have experience of successfully pitching stories to national media, and know what makes a good health story. You will have a fluent writing style, and be confident working with senior stakeholders to brief them before interviews.

Responsibilities

• Handle incoming enquiries and provide accurate, timely and appropriate responses, briefing journalists in line with RCS England key messages and priorities.
• Participate in an out-of-hours rota for media enquiries. Time off in lieu is offered for significant out-of-office hours worked.
• Research, write and distribute press releases, features, letters and other editorial material.
• Draft articles, quotes and opinion pieces on behalf of RCS England spokespeople.
• Provide press office support to the Faculty of Dental Surgery and its Dean, as required.
