Having recently won a major national award for Fundraising Team of the Year at the annual Third Sector awards, East Anglia's Children's Hospices (EACH) is now seeking an outstanding income generation leader to help realise it’s ambitions of reaching more children, young people and families across the East Anglian region that need our care.
We’re looking for an experienced Director of Fundraising and Marketing & Communications to join the executive leadership team at EACH. This role offers flexibility to work from any of our three hospices at Milton near Cambridge, The Treehouse in Ipswich and The Nook, near Norwich, combined with hybrid working.
East Anglia’s Children’s Hospices (EACH) provides specialist care for babies, children and young people with life-threatening conditions across Cambridgeshire, Essex, Norfolk and Suffolk and supports their families. All three of our hospices are rated as Outstanding by the Care Quality Commission (CQC).
As Director of Fundraising and Marketing & Communications you will lead the strategic planning and delivery of the Marketing and Fundraising annual plan (£7.5m) across all income streams, including major giving, community and events, corporate, trust and foundation teams. This is a critical leadership position, reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, and a key member of the Senior Leadership Team at EACH.
You’ll be leading a talented team of 30, encouraging, empowering and inspiring colleagues to innovate in ways which help us deliver our overall objectives. You’ll underpin this income generation experience with detailed forecasting and activity planning.
Are you:
Highly knowledgeable and experienced in delivering primary income streams with experience of develop income strategies to deliver year on year growth
Do you have:
- Significant people management skills with experience leading a team of professionals
- Thorough understanding of fundraising, including identification research, solicitation, pitching and account management.
- Knowledge of the scope and content of the Code of Fundraising Practice.
- Proven experience of working to and achieving ambitious targets.
- Proven experience of engaging major donors and stewarding high value and influential relationships that deliver significant giving.
- Experience in managing large budgets (£3m +) with strong finance acumen.
- Additional experience in leading Marketing/Communications teams would be desirable

About the Project
Herts Mind Network (HMN) has formed a partnership with Hertfordshire Partnership Foundation Trust (HPFT) to deliver a one-to-one outreach service for people who are in hospitals across Hertfordshire.
This is a new dual diagnosis arm of the project based at Lister Hospital working in A&E departments and hospital wards facilitating hospital discharge for people with a mental health and/or drugs and alcohol need.
About the Role:
The Bounce Back Worker will be based at Lister Hospital and HMN Centres, promoting joint working between Lister Hospital staff and HMN, creating a seamless pathway into community support for clients recovering from mental ill health.
The aims of the Bounce Back service are; to provide up to 16 sessions of emotional and practical support, advice and information to patients. We will visit patients on the ward and continue the sessions in the local community and in patients homes once discharged. We will facilitate a smooth and timely hospital discharge.
The Bounce Back Worker will work with the HMN Community Outreach Teams and the hospital staff to ensure patients are offered advice, information, and holistic support. The Bounce Back worker will use a recovery orientated approach working with patients on the ward, and in the local community, including in people’s homes. The recovery approach includes empathy, warmth, acceptance, authenticity, compassion and humanity.
Key Responsibilities
- To receive referrals from the ward teams at Lister Hospital and other appropriate hospitals across Hertfordshire.
- To manage and prioritise all administration tasks associated with the service.
- To build strong relationships with staff at Lister Hospital and Mental Health Teams across Hertfordshire.
- To work in partnership with other agencies.
- To establish a strong presence on the ward, working at the hospital when required.
- Ensure a direct community service is in place which encourages, motivates and builds patients self-esteem and confidence. This will include goal setting and support with social and practical skills development.
- To assist patients to access appropriate services and community resources within the local community, accompanying patients to attend appointments where this aids ongoing recovery.
- To work with key staff within the hospital to ensure that vulnerable person’s cases are monitored and risks evaluated.
- To work with HMN staff in other services in order to make onward referrals to other projects.
- Liaise with appropriate HPFT staff to ensure that individuals are assessed for personal budgets to support with any longer term needs.
- Support individuals to develop sustainable local social networks, both through our HMN Wellbeing Centres and other community services and resources.

Summary of the role
Our successful charity runs pathways which focus on employability and skills for everyday living to help young people, with SEN and learning disabilities to gain confidence and social support, alongside nationally recognised qualifications. Supporting Young People
- To work with the tutor to establish an appropriate learning environment.

About the Role
To work as part of a team delivering an assessment, support and move on service to vulnerable clients in supported or community-based accommodation. Your work will be underpinned by the Depaul Endeavour model of assets-based, psychologically informed delivery. In accommodation-based services, you will ensure that the accommodation is properly maintained and support the client to sustain their tenancy and participate in a positive and successful move on. About the role
The role of the Policy and Communications Officer (PCO) is to support in building the capacity of RMC to advocate and address the root causes of problems faced by its clients by influencing our key stakeholders. The case recording system used by RMC to record information about clients and their issues, generates both statistical and qualitative information providing the evidence to support our work.
As one of the largest providers of free immigration advice in the country RMC is looking to;
- grow its influencing work regionally using the evidence from working with our clients
- undertake research into issues faced by our clients and explore recommendations and possible solutions, whilst providing feedback to our stakeholders on key issues
- support local and appropriate national initiatives, undertake advocacy and influencing work on local and national issues with a view to improve the lives of the clients we work with and drive positive change
The PCO will be responsible for establishing systems to collect and collate, with the support of the front-line team, information and data pertinent to this work. In collaboration with the Immigration Department Manager, they will test and develop new initiatives to produce a model for social policy work that can be rolled out across RMC.
While the PCO will lead on production of evidence to identify key issues, tasked by the Immigration Department Manager they will also take responsibility for designing and writing materials internally and externally.
The PCO will also develop relationships with key stakeholders externally such as Universities, Local Authorities, Councillors, MP’s, charities, strategic migration partnership, observatories, etc.

Pitlochry Festival Theatre’s campus now comprises a 538 seat Main Auditorium, a 172 seat Studio theatre as well as our Amphitheatre and Bandstand located in the theatre grounds.
The purpose of the role is to contribute to the fundraising target of Pitlochry Festival Theatre by securing and growing income from charitable Trusts and Foundations. Taking personal responsibility for contributing to meeting and raising the annual financial target by identifying, cultivating, and soliciting gifts and grants to support both revenue and capital activity.

Key Tasks:
To maximise funds raised from charitable trusts and foundations
Lead on the development of the short-term and long-term strategies for generating income from trusts and foundations in line with an annual agreed target.
Delivering own financial targets as well as contributing to the wider development team’s revenue and capital income targets.
Manage relationships with existing trusts and foundations, ensuring excellent stewardship, and all required reporting is delivered in line with the funder’s requirements.
Pipeline Development
Proactively research viable trusts and foundations, understanding funder’s needs and
criteria and how our business case, projects and performances meet these needs.
Identify projects and priorities for funding through talking with operational colleagues, to develop compelling projects with accurate budgets, and develop a suite of template proposals for funders.
Researching new and exceptional funding sources including one-off grants as required.
Collaboration and team working
Maintain effective relationships with Pitlochry Festival Theatre team in order to easily obtain project information, identify projects for funding, write detailed applications and support funding requirements, making recommendations to improve collation of
information when needed.
Development of the Plan:
i.Develop and maintain a trust and foundation workplan with a timeline of agreed activities that is regularly reviewed with the Development Director
ii.Regularly report to internal stakeholders on key issues and risks within the market
iii.Reporting as required on performance and pipeline
iv.Keep accurate and regular records of all relationship communications and activities on the database

Environmental
To support the Executive Director, as Chief Executive of the organisation, and the nominated Green Champion in meeting organisational aims and ambitions for its environmental impacts.
Health and Safety
To support the Executive Director, as Chief Executive of the organisation, in their legislative duties under the Health and Safety at Work etc. Act 1974.
Attend training as required to update knowledge and skills, and to be able to comply with relevant statutory requirements to a high standard.
Other
To champion and promote organisational values and behaviours and act as an ambassador for the Theatre.
To always act in the best interests of the Theatre and in line with all company policies.
Any other duties or projects required by the Executive Team or Trustees to ensure the general smooth and efficient operation of the buildings and organisation.
Assist the Department with work experience placements, offering work shadow opportunities, training and mentoring as required.
Actively promote staff welfare, development and training opportunities throughout the Theatre.
Requirements
Qualifications and Knowledge
Essential:
Proven success in achieving financial targets
Previous trusts fundraising experience
Experience of preparing fundraising budgets
Experience in prospect research, identifying funding opportunities and interpreting information
Experience of writing tailored and compelling applications
Experience of building effective relationships
Knowledge of data protection and the Fundraising Codes of Practice
Educated to degree level or equivalent practical experience
Secured 5-figure fundraising income
Desirable:
Achieved multi-year commitments from funders
Experience of developing Trusts and Foundations strategies
