The Project Support Officer will have the opportunity to support Heads of Functions and Project Managers within the Chief Executive Office whilst working on a variety of exciting strategic projects across the organisation.
The Alzheimer’s Society are in the middle of the Help and Hope Strategy and the Project Management Office are at the heart of delivering new and exciting strategic project and programmes in collaboration with other directorates across the organisation. You will have access to how strategic plans are planned, delivered and monitored. This is an excellent role for a candidate to have insight into what it takes to be a Project Manager in a complex organisation.
Ideally, you will have a thirst for knowledge and strong ability to develop solid working relationships with stakeholders and wider teams to help achieve our goals. You will have some knowledge and experience in project methodologies and producing project plans from start, all the way to completion. We are looking for someone who can articulate what project plans you have supported, what involvement did you have, telling the start, middle and end of your project journey.
You will be joining a team of experienced project management professionals in which there is an environment to be mentored and coached to develop your professional skill set. Your day to day duties will always be different, from shadowing senior managers in board meetings, to collating reports and updating project plans. You will have strong hand in supporting our wider teams so working collaboratively is key!

About you:
- Bachelor's degree in journalism, communications or another related field.

- French being a strong asset.
- An entrepreneurial and collaborative work ethic. Diplomatic and able to work with teams from around the globe and different time zones.
- Experience of managing external public relations, web development, and other communications vendors.
- An understanding of international development issues.
- Experience working on advocacy plans and execution within the international development/NGO sectors would be a strong asset.

Purpose of the role
As a member of the Business Support Team, the post holder will work closely with our leads and their teams to understand and support organisational and programme requirements across our diverse and exciting areas of interest.
The post holder will work closely with others to plan, anticipate and deliver high-quality support across a range of NDTi projects and work areas. They will pro-actively contribute to organisational life and maintain NDTi’s reputation for excellence with our clients and stakeholder.
Key Activities
- Liaise and work with leads with confidence, replying to external and internal queries where possible and escalating others as needed. Keep in regular contract with team members ensuring that they, alongside external stakeholders, understand the support the post holder can provide.
- Gather the necessary information to complete key contractual paperwork throughout the project lifecycle, including contract set up and the prompt receipt and processing of client contracts. Work with the Finance Manager and relevant lead to ensure that invoicing schedules and billing particulars are up to date, that client specific activity reporting is completed accurately, and NDTi’s schedule for delivery is maintained.
- Maintain a schedule of project outputs and work to ensure reports, events and other deliverables are planned and delivered on time, liaising with colleagues across other work areas where needed.
- Plan, organise and effectively project manage regular events of both online and residential including at scale.
- Use existing and emerging technologies and established practices to set up and plan events, ensuring prompt co-ordination and confirmation of arrangements with venues, participants and presenters.
- Lead the process for delegate and stakeholder sign up, liaising with leads to ensure good representation and attendance levels are achieved. Work with the lead to ensure any specific requirements, for example, allocation of places and accessibility needs are managed and met.
- With the project coordinator, work to deliver the event on time and within budget. Keep leads updated, alerting them to potential overspend or other issues, such as take up/attendance levels that could impact the success of the event, as they arise.
- Actively update website and other source information about our team, our work, our events and our resources, ensuing they are up-to-date, and are in keeping with in house and project specific branding guidelines.
- Assist the Marketing and Communications Manager and wider team to connect with partners, stakeholders and groups with an interest in NDTi’s work via online platforms.
- Organise and lead on the booking process and internal organisation of CLS Network workshops and other Network-wide meetings.
- To manage all CLS invoicing ensuring data from contracts is transferred to an invoice and ensuring invoices are logged within the database.
- Collect data in relation to attendance across the CLS sites at Network wide events and workshops and provide regular reports to Network members and CLS team members as required.
- Attend large gatherings in person, lead the setting up and liaison with the venue and provide the welcome and any support to participants to ensure they get the most out of the experience.

We are now looking for a Network Manager to join us in the Sussex region.
FUNCTION: Delivering our successful mentoring programmes in Sussex, with some work across the wider South Easst region also.
WHERE THE ROLE FITS: Reporting to: South Senior Network Manager
PAY BAND: £27,825 per annum
CONTRACT: Short Term Contract - 6 months to cover internal secondment
HOURS: 5 days per week, 37.5 hours (with some evening work)

WHAT WE DO
Young people from lower income families are 40% less likely to go to University than wealthier peers (Dept for Education, 2020) which can have a lifelong impact on earning potential. Covid-19 has deepened inequalities (Social Mobility Foundation, 2022) and negatively impacted on young people's wellbeing (GirlGuiding, 2020). We believe that no girls should have their futures limited by their gender, sex, ethnicity, background, or parental income and they should be supported to realise their ambitions, to discover their self-worth, and to develop their capacity to shape their world and their futures.
We work in communities of least advantage across England to deliver two core programmes to achieve this vision. Through our mentoring programme we connect 14-19 year old girls with a mentor and a wider network of role models who are women and deliver opportunities which help them to build life skills and nurture their ambitions. Based on the idea that 'you can't be what you can't see', our mentors often help girls to broaden their horizons and create a more positive vision of their futures. After the programme, the mentees can join a free, lifelong network of support - our Ambassador Community, which offers further opportunities to reach their goals, build their confidence and to share their voices and experiences.
Our programmes help girls and young women to develop the knowledge, skills, self-belief and opportunities to thrive, and to be supported as part of a network that champions them and ensures their voices are heard.
THE ROLE
This is an exciting role joining a Programme Team of 15 staff based throughout the UK. There is a small team of three based in the South. You will work closely and collaborate with the other Network Managers and share some priorities across the region, working to develop the region as a whole. The purpose of this role is to facilitate good relationships between the mentors and mentees in the region. 70-80% of the role is about relationship building (with schools, mentors and partners), coordination and the tracking/ administration of those relationships. 15-20% of the role is direct delivery with the girls in the region. You will play a crucial role setting up our Autumn 121 mentoring programmes, liaising with schools, recruiting mentors and ensuring that we have the right mentors for the mentees on programme. You will also deliver our workshop programme within the area.
Mentoring programme
- Manage overall success of the cohorts (groups of mentees and mentors) in your region, including coordinating and administering events and communications for cohorts in your area.
- Deliver engaging on-boarding sessions for mentees.
- Deliver events and workshops for mentees.
- Deliver matching of mentees and mentors at in-person events or virtually.
- Work with the wider programme team to train mentors.
- Support mentors once matched through regular check-ins, monthly emails and ad-hoc conversations.
- Collect data to track the progress, and impact of, mentoring relationships.
- Support mentors with safeguarding concerns, following The Girls’ Network. process in line with our child protection policy.
- Develop effective relationships with schools, on-boarding, supporting and retaining the partnerships.

- Work with the Senior Network Manager in your area to identify professional partnerships and sponsorship with local and national businesses.
- Work with your Senior Network Manager to identify a recruitment and retention plan for your area including key partners to work with.

Young people from lower income families are 40% less likely to go to University than wealthier peers (Dept for Education, 2020) which can have a lifelong impact on earning potential. Covid-19 has deepened inequalities (Social Mobility Foundation, 2022) and negatively impacted on young people's wellbeing (GirlGuiding, 2020). We believe that no girls should have their futures limited by their gender, sex, ethnicity, background, or parental income and they should be supported to realise their ambitions, to discover their self-worth, and to develop their capacity to shape their world and their futures.
We work in communities of least advantage across England to deliver two core programmes to achieve this vision. Through our mentoring programme we connect 14-19 year old girls with a mentor and a wider network of role models who are women and deliver opportunities which help them to build life skills and nurture their ambitions. Based on the idea that 'you can't be what you can't see', our mentors often help girls to broaden their horizons and create a more positive vision of their futures. After the programme, the mentees can join a free, lifelong network of support - our Ambassador Community, which offers further opportunities to reach their goals, build their confidence and to share their voices and experiences.
Our programmes help girls and young women to develop the knowledge, skills, self-belief and opportunities to thrive, and to be supported as part of a network that champions them and ensures their voices are heard.
THE ROLE
This is an exciting role joining a Programme Team of 15 staff based throughout the UK. There is a small team of three based in the South. You will work closely and collaborate with the other Network Managers and share some priorities across the region, working to develop the region as a whole. The purpose of this role is to facilitate good relationships between the mentors and mentees in the region. 70-80% of the role is about relationship building (with schools, mentors and partners), coordination and the tracking/ administration of those relationships. 15-20% of the role is direct delivery with the girls in the region. You will play a crucial role setting up our Autumn 121 mentoring programmes, liaising with schools, recruiting mentors and ensuring that we have the right mentors for the mentees on programme. You will also deliver our workshop programme within the area.
Mentoring programme
- Manage overall success of the cohorts (groups of mentees and mentors) in your region, including coordinating and administering events and communications for cohorts in your area.
- Deliver engaging on-boarding sessions for mentees.
- Deliver events and workshops for mentees.
- Deliver matching of mentees and mentors at in-person events or virtually.
- Work with the wider programme team to train mentors.
- Support mentors once matched through regular check-ins, monthly emails and ad-hoc conversations.

Founded in 2000, we’re the first and only UK charity solely dedicated to improving the lives of an estimated 70,000 individuals and their families affected by polycystic kidney disease (PKD) in the UK.
PKD is a range of life-threatening inherited conditions that can cause kidney failure and affect other organs in the body such as the liver, brain, heart and bowels. Hygiene poverty is not being able to afford many of the everyday hygiene and personal grooming products most of us take for granted. The reality of low income is that it restricts people’s options, leaving us caught between being able to heat our homes, pay the rent, eat, or be clean. It is washing hair, bodies, faces and clothes in the same cheap washing-up liquid used for the dishes. It is not being able to replace a toothbrush when needed or sharing a toothbrush because one each just isn't an option. It is having to choose between shaving foam and razors or the transport fare to a job interview.
Hygiene Poverty is the hidden crisis facing the UK. Earlier this year, The Hygiene Bank published a research report into the incidence and impact of hygiene poverty. It found that over 4.2m adults in the UK are affected by hygiene poverty, that is an additional 1.1m people into hygiene poverty since 2022 - the equivalent of the population of Birmingham.
With hygiene poverty on the rise, it is also undermining the nation’s health: 50% of those affected by hygiene poverty say that it is causing them anxiety or depression. 92% of people affected report that it limits their social interactions with friends and family. 54% of those affected have not gone to the dentist in the last 12 months. But most importantly, it’s putting people in impossible situations. A staggering 69% of adults experiencing hygiene poverty are having to make the difficult decision between paying for essential needs like food and bills or purchasing basic toiletries. 65% of parents affected by hygiene poverty have had to choose between buying hygiene products for themselves or their children.

About the role
This role will be part of a multi-disciplinary Communications Team working together to raise awareness of the work of The Hygiene Bank. The successful candidate will develop and deliver effective marketing and communications content, with a special focus on digital channels, to promote The Hygiene Bank’s work, partnerships, and year-round fundraising activity – including National Hygiene Week and brand collaborations – and demonstrate the positive impact donations have had on communities across the UK. A senior / managerial Salesforce role accountable for driving forward the continued rollout, design, build and development of Salesforce and related applications; aligned with the Trusts strategy, values and goals.
Role responsibilities
• Create, document and prioritise application requirements by working together with team subject matter experts and end-users to development new functionality.
• Work with management, strategic planning and end-users to automate business processes.
• Strong knowledge of Salesforce automation (such as workflow rules, process builders and flow) is integral for the role.
• Manage multiple Salesforce project streams, identifying projects which require assistance from the implementation partner, and manage projects from pipeline to production.
• Own the development and configuration function by becoming a technology ambassador for the solution, demonstrating its ‘use of’ cases, and ensuring the Trust gets the best return on its investment by using the platform to its fullest extent.
• Create and maintain documentation on processes, policies, application configuration and help related materials as database applications are developed.
Person Specification
• Salesforce Certified Administrator / Non-profit Cloud Consultant
• Track record of Salesforce deployments, releases and environment management
• End to end lifecycle process management of Salesforce Application development
• Working with internal customers and external vendors to gather requirements and design technical solutions
• Previous experience as a Salesforce Administrator

Job Title: Project Manager (Technology & Transformation)
Salary: £48,500
Contract Type: Permanent, ideally, full-time (35 hours per week) although part-time or flexible hours may be considered

BACKGROUND
Magic Breakfast is a registered charity providing healthy breakfasts to children and young people in the UK who arrive at school too hungry to learn, and expert support to their schools. Over 200,000 children and young people are on roll at Primary, Secondary, ASL / Special Educational Needs Schools and Pupil Referral Units that the charity works with, in disadvantaged areas of Scotland and England. Providing breakfast ensures that children start their school day with the energy and nutrition they need to be able to make the most of their morning lessons. Magic Breakfast also undertakes research, and campaigns for long-term solutions to end hunger as a barrier to learning.

JOB PURPOSE
We are seeking an innovative Project Manager who is looking for an exciting opportunity to play an instrumental part in the planning and delivery of Magic Breakfast’s technology and data transformation. In this multi-faceted position, you’ll lead the development and implementation of the organisation’s project management strategy and standards, while also championing the ongoing delivery of data-focused technology and transformation projects. The broad and diverse nature of the projects will mean no two days are the same. Your expertise will be critical in maximising the impact of every initiative we undertake.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Strategic Leadership:

Develop and implement the organisation's project management strategy and methodology

Lead on business process mapping and improvement across the organisation
Team Leadership:

Establish and enforce project management standards and best practice ensuring project implementation takes a people-centred approach including training, internal communications, and changes to policies and procedures

Lead and mentor any project managers, providing coaching and development opportunities
Project Management:

Lead and manage technology and transformation projects across the organisation

Develop and execute project plans, objectives and timelines that account for technical dependencies, risks and resource needs
Core Management Group:

Support other team members who have responsibilities supporting Magic Breakfast projects and initiatives in line with Magic Breakfast’s values, supporting and leading as an indirect lead in line with Magic Breakfast’s policies and procedures.

Deputise for the relevant Senior Leadership Team member as required and requested.
