The Consultant role will support the Director and Mobilise team to coordinate and  deliver a range of projects supporting our clients. This new and exciting role is well suited to an individual that enjoys building new connections, working with and supporting people and organisations to learn and develop, values working to a high standard and wants to bring about change. The post holder's duties will primarily focus on providing capacity building support to third sector organisations alongside organising events, undertaking community outreach, building and maintaining relationships and networks, writing reports based on analysis and research, and engaging with clients and project stakeholders to prepare bids and deliver new work. 

Main Duties:

• Plan and manage projects to ensure activities are delivered effectively to timescale and budget

• Plan and deliver fieldwork, outreach projects and events to engage residents and organisations 

• Work as part of a team to deliver projects with associates and partner companies

• Undertake research and data collection, including resident engagement activities

• Lead and support the design and delivery of workshops, training opportunities, and resources to support NFP organisations on a range of key capacity building areas 

• Undertake organisational health checks and keep accurate and up to date records

• Undertake monitoring and evaluation activities

• Help create content and materials for communications purposes and social media

• Work closely with project leads to prepare reporting and supporting documents

• Support the development of Mobilise Public Ltd and its people, including supporting the development of tenders and proposals

Skills, Knowledge & Experience Required (Essential) 

• Supporting/Working with or in not for profit (NFP) organisations, in particular voluntary, community and/or social enterprises 

• Knowledge of key areas that create a strong and sustainable NFP organisation

• Knowledge or experience of working with NFP organisations of different sizes from grassroots to key anchor and national level organisations and a clear understanding of their current challenges

• Facilitating and developing or supporting events, workshops, focus groups or other similar activities

• Delivering fieldwork and outreach approaches to successfully recruit and engage a wide range of people and organisations

• Help identify an organisation’s development needs

• Excellent people skills that enable you to work sensitively and build trust to develop working relationships with a diverse range of people, organisations and clients from different sectors

• Excellent written and communication skills with the ability to tailor messages to different audiences and present information clearly and confidently

• Works to a high standard with attention to detail, management and organisation

Key Terms 

• Salary Range: £27,500-£38,000 (FTE), depending on experience 

• Negotiable full or part time hours – (minimum of 0.6 FTE). The role is open to compressed working in accordance with the needs of the job 

• Home and remote working with one day or more per week at a shared office

• Some travel required within London and England which may include overnight stays according to the needs of contracts (anticipated travel days 2-3 days per month)

Here's a summary of your key responsibilities:

• Provide inspirational leadership to the MQ Development Team, managing the current team of five to deliver our £3m 2025 budget

• Develop MQ’s ability to carry out targeted and systematic research to establish new high value prospects utilising existing networks, the MQ database, search engines and referrals

About you:

This role is for you, if you have fundraising experience with grants and foundations as well as corporate fundraising and/or new business acquisition experience. This means you will have experience in stewarding and securing new gifts from foundations as well as researching new opportunities to apply for funds.

You will also be skilled in understanding and translating complex information and turning it in to compelling written proposals, for grants, corporate partnerships and major donors.

You will be driven to ensure that projects are delivered to the highest possible standards and be a sophisticated communicator with the confidence to build relationships with and inspire colleagues and donors.

We do require someone who is proactive, hardworking and results-focused.

The successful candidate will need to work closely with their peers to ensure that CRUK has the maximum impact across all their audiences to improve cancer outcomes.

About the team

The Health Information team work to inform and engage the public with information on cancer prevention, early diagnosis and screening. We do this using evidence and look for opportunities to reach those who need it most. We use our knowledge and communications expertise to guide and shape activity across the charity including policy, partnerships and fundraising.

What will I be doing?

• Oversee the provision of high quality, accessible and evidence-based health information including maintaining a good understanding of best practice

• Provide strategic direction for CRUK's health information priority topics to maximise impact across public facing channels including but not limited to health marketing, communications and partnerships

• Act as a senior subject matter expert on health information and use of evidence, advising senior internal and external stakeholders (Executive Board, other charities, researchers)

• Act as a senior media spokesperson and provide expert sign-off for health information content used in a range of external channels (including press and policy influencing)

This is an important role within our legacy and journeys team, part of an established and successful individual giving operation. This role is responsible for the delivery of campaigns to promote legacy giving and to raise awareness of gifts in wills to both existing charity supporters and new audiences.

Are you ready to lead and develop this pioneering new project in partnership with the Office of Sussex Police & Crime Commissioner (OSPCC). Do you thrive on building trust and engagement with young people, school communities and families?

As the Breck Foundation's new Project Coordinator (Pan Sussex), with the support of the CEO, you will lead the initial project set up, the recruitment of schools and young people, followed by all training and coordination of the delivery.

The post holder will need to reside in Sussex and be required to work from home permanently but willing and able to travel regularly to various locations across East and West Sussex. Occasional travel farther afield as necessary to fulfil the requirements of the role, to deliver aspects of the programme and to engage with other stakeholders and colleagues.

Breck Foundation 

Breck Foundation is a unique and dynamic organisation that makes a real difference. The charity was founded in 2014 in memory of Breck Bednar, a 14-year-old boy who was groomed and murdered by someone he met online. We inform, educate and campaign to help young people and the wider UK public reclaim the internet from those who seek to harm others through it. Our educational programmes reach thousands of students, parents and safeguarding professionals each year.

The Project

Over the last few years, the Breck Foundation worked closely with Volunteer Police Cadet Units in Surrey and Tower Hamlets to train cadets as ‘Breck Ambassadors’, equipping them with the training needed to talk in schools to their peers about staying safe online and the key signs of grooming.

We are proud to take this successful project further having secured funding with the Office of Sussex Police & Crime Commissioner (OSPCC) to recruit and train up to 30 ‘Youth Ambassadors’ (for online safety) in schools across Sussex. The Youth Ambassadors will learn how to tell Breck’s story and empower young people with the tools they need to stay safe online. Working closely with schools to enable the students to become Online Safety Ambassadors for their school community, advocate for their peers and to be a voice of expertise and counsel. You will work with schools and community groups to generate impact through Breck’s story (on online grooming) and other important topics related to children’s online safety.

This flagship project for the OSPCC will launch in April 2025 (Coordinator starts in January 2025) and run for at least 12 months, with potential funding up to three years. We hope it will set a precedent for others to follow our lead and develop similar programmes for young people across the UK.

A small and friendly local charity is looking for someone who is organised with excellent communication skills who is keen to learn, develop and/or share their fundraising skills. This role would suit someone who is looking for a career change or has recently graudated and would like to become an excellent charity fundraiser or an experienced fundraiser who is keen to develop their skills and expertise to inform an imaginative fundraising strategy.

Our Safeguarding Team has a great opportunity for you to join them as a Safeguarding Advisor, where you can contribute to making the Trust a safeguarding first organisation that is a safe and supportive place for young people to be part of.

You will provide safeguarding support and advice to our frontline colleagues, volunteers and partners working with children and young people aged 11-30 participating in Prince's Trust programmes and activities.

Your primary focus will be on case management of safeguarding referrals for young people across the four nations of the UK. You will be responsible for triaging safeguarding concerns, managing a caseload and being part of a duty rota across the Safeguarding Team. You will contribute to the safeguarding data and performance ensuring that we demonstrate the impact of our work. You will also train and support colleagues locally and across the organisation, as well as being supported in your own work and professional development so that you can make a real difference in the lives of the young people at the Prince’s Trust.

Role Overview

We are recruiting for an enthusiastic and versatile Data and Impact Officer to join our supportive and talented team. New Citizens’ Gateway is a registered charity with the aim to improve the quality of life and promote the physical, social and mental well-being of refugees and asylum seekers helping to reduce health inequalities, social exclusion and poverty and enabling positive integration.

We are seeking to enlist an experienced Refugee General Adviser to become a valuable member of our vibrant and active advisory team. Your role will involve offering information and guidance on matters such as accessing welfare benefits, PIP, housing, NASS support, education, employment, and training. This assistance will be provided not only at our office but also via phone and during community outreach initiatives.

You should possess substantial experience in offering direct advisory support to clients, collaborating with statutory services, and possessing a comprehensive understanding of the challenges encountered by Asylum Seekers/Refugees, as well as the available resources for their aid. Additionally, you will need the capability to deliver training and workshops, function effectively as a collaborative team member, exhibit adept negotiation and communication abilities, and manage demanding situations with minimal oversight.
