LitdriveUK is a registered charity, created by and maintained by English teachers for English teachers to access high quality professional development, classroom materials and mentoring support. Our key objective is that by doing so, we aim to provide English teachers with better balance in regards to teacher workload, and ultimately, retain excellent teachers to the profession. We have recently been formally recognised as a subject association, and see this as an acknowledgment of our work in the sector.
Now five years into our journey, we are now looking to formalise our offer to schools and Trusts, to further develop giving a platform to teachers to share evidence-informed English classroom practice and work in partnership with other bodies to consider the impact we make to then share this with the sector.
We are going through a hugely exciting period of change and growth and are looking for a Strategic Director to join the team to lead this work with the strategic direction of the CEO. We are looking for somebody who is excited and inspired by our work and someone who is a confident communicator, with strong writing skills and the ability to ensure our members remain at the heart of all that we provide. The Strategic Director will have support from the CEO to ensure the subject association goes from strength to strength, but a mindset, expertise and experience of leading a team or organisation in start-up phase will be essential.

Location:We work from home with regular travel to members schools – as such a full driving licence and access to a vehicle is essential.Due to the location of our members, we are specifically looking for candidates located in Birmingham, London (within the M25), and Manchester.
About the role: as School Membership Coordinator, you will have the opportunity to combine flexible working from home with hands-on delivery of impactful programmes in schools, supporting our members.
Key to this role is ensuring that schools are actively engaged with us, guiding and helping them to make the most of their membership with Future First. You will support a portfolio of member schools remotely, working 3-4 days per week from home. This gives you a great opportunity to build meaningful relationships with new and existing members.
We envisage 1-2 days per week delivering in-person support across our network of member schools – and although we will always try to minimise travel, the geographic breadth of our reach, means that there will, on occasion, be longer days and overnight stays.
Duties and responsibilities
- Build and maintain effective and proactive relationships with member schools
- Working closely with key contacts to plan and deliver impactful school workshops
- Work with colleagues to support delivery with employer partners
- Grow our membership with effective and impactful sales
- Contribute to our growth strategy
- Be part of an effective, small team
We are seeking someone who is organised, great at managing relationships and confident in delivering workshops to young people in schools. You will have some experience of CRMs, a full driving licence and access to a vehicle.

The Talent Set is delighted to be working in partnership with a children’s charity to recruit a proactive and experienced Trust Fundraiser. This role will focus on enhancing fundraising efforts for a major refurbishment of one of their largest children’s hospitals. The successful candidate will play a key role in securing funds to support a significant renovation project that will introduce enhanced multi-functional spaces, improved accessibility, a comprehensive infrastructure upgrade, and a brighter, modernised environment designed to better support the families the charity serves.

Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and write persuasive grant proposals and funding applications for identified opportunities.
- Engage with donors and funding bodies to build and maintain strong relationships, ensuring alignment with project goals and funding requirements.
- Research and identify additional funding opportunities to expand the project's funding base
- Collaborate with internal teams to gather necessary information and insights for crafting compelling narratives that effectively communicate the project's impact and needs.
Person Specification:
- Demonstrated success in securing funding from grant-giving organisations, with a strong track record in achieving financial targets.
- Experience in obtaining funding for major capital projects, showcasing the ability to manage large-scale funding initiatives.
- Exceptional written communication skills, with the ability to craft tailored messages for various audiences and stakeholders.
- Strong collaborative skills, able to work closely with the Appeal Project Team to gather necessary information and ensure the completion of high-quality applications.
- Keen attention to detail and the capability to manage multiple deadlines effectively, ensuring timely and accurate submissions.
