We are looking for an Interim Head of Financial Planning & Analysis to join RBL on a 6 month Fixed Term basis.
This key role will see you providing high quality financial information and advice to the Executive Board, Finance Committee, Audit and Risk Committee and Board of Trustees of the RBL Group. Managing a team of Finance Business Partners, you will coordinate annual budgeting and forecasting process and support the delivery of in year financial results by business partnering with various Executive Directors and Directors across RBL Group.

Reporting to the Director: Group Financial Planning & Analysis, key responsibilities will include:
- Lead a team of Senior Finance Business Partners for RBL (excluding Care Homes), ensuring the delivery of high-quality information and challenge to the Executive Directors, Directors and Budget Holders
- Support the financial input for the preparation and review of the overall RBL Strategy and the preparation of the annual Corporate Plan
- Co-ordinate the annual budget exercise for RBL Group
- Prepare management reporting for the RBL Group and analyse the financial data shown in the management accounts to assist Executive Directors in preparing a comprehensive monthly commentary for their function
- Act as a member of the Finance Management Team, contributing to the development of departmental strategic objectives, customer service standards and a shared team Vision and ethos.

Job Summary:
The Head of Finance and Property (HFP) will be responsible for overseeing and directing the financial activities of the charity and its trading subsidiary, and property. This role includes financial planning, management of financial risks, record-keeping, and financial reporting. The HFP will also work closely with the executive team to develop and implement financial strategies to support the charity's mission and goals.

Financial Management & Strategy:
Develop and manage annual budgets, cash flow projections, and long-term financial planning.
Oversee and direct treasury, budgeting, audit, tax, accounting, purchasing, long-range forecasting, and insurance activities.
Formulate, review, and implement financial policies, procedures, and controls to enhance and safeguard the financial position of the charity.
Reporting & Compliance:

Ensure the charity and its trading subsidiary comply with all statutory requirements, including filing annual returns to regulatory bodies (e.g., Charity Commission, Companies House).

Property:
Oversee the Estate Management Team responsible for the leased and licensed property portfolios;
Formulate, review, and implement property policies, procedures, and controls to enhance and safeguard the property assets of the charity.
Team Leadership:
Lead, mentor, and develop the Finance and Estate Management Teams, fostering an environment of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Provide financial training and support to non-financial staff and volunteers.
Risk Management:
Identify and manage financial risks, including investment strategies and financial sustainability.
Oversee risk management processes and ensure that appropriate insurance coverage is maintained.
Advisory Role:
Advise the executive team and Trustee board on financial strategy, real estate policy, and key decision-making to optimize the charity's financial performance and strategic position.
Qualifications:
Essential:
Professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CPA) or equivalent.
Significant experience in a senior financial role, preferably within the charity, non-profit or property sectors.
Strong knowledge of charity accounting principles, SORP, and related financial regulations.

You will oversee the development and implementation of the fundraising strategy and the funding pipeline; ensure the maintenance and development of excellent relationships with current and new funders, stewarding grants and reporting back; review, update and develop service budgets; oversee the submission or coordination of quality bids, approaches, and events.
As a member of the senior leadership team, this post will work cross departmentally and will contribute to the overall strategy of Woman’s Trust, working closely with the CEO and the Board of Trustees. You will lead and line manage the Senior Trust and Foundation Manager and Fundraising Officer. You will deliver a direct income target for each year, with a focus on the development and tendering of statutory commissioning.
Hours: 35 hours per week (28 hours will be considered).
Location: Office based with remote working available – minimum of 50% of working hours in Woman’s Trust Office, Edgware Road/Paddington, NW1.

About the role
We are excited to be advertising this newly created role as part of WGN’s growth. This role will be the lead on the finance function. Reporting into the Director of Finance and Resources, the role works closely with stakeholders across the organisation including executive leadership, with a specific focus on working closely with the Director and external auditors. The role will have two direct reports – Finance Business Partner and Senior Finance Officer. This is a hands-on role and will have full responsibility for the finance function on a day to day and medium-term basis. The Financial Controller is to lead on all financial systems set up and upgrades.

Background to Rackets Cubed
Rackets Cubed is a thriving young charity formed in 2016. Its purpose is to help primary age children from disadvantaged backgrounds by introducing them to a racket sport, providing additional tuition in a STEM subject, and then giving them a nutritious meal, all in an inspirational setting. We work closely with primary schools in areas of significant deprivation across the UK, and our host sites include sports clubs, universities, local authority leisure centres and selected school sites.
Rackets Cubed also runs the Community Box Programme. 17 hubs across London and the Midlands providing food parcels to young families that require support. In Roehampton the charity runs a social supermarket that operates as a Community Hub.
Role Purpose
The COO will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the charity and for assisting the CEO in a variety of tasks.
·To run the day-to-day finances of the charity including paying and raising invoices for all charity activities.
·To run HR to include contracts, holiday requests, staff reviews
·To manage and update all policies and procedures
·To maintain good relations with all charity partners, especially schools and host sites and food suppliers, councils etc for our Community Projects.
·To support the CEO with stakeholder relationships with funders, corporate organisations and the Local Council.

QuarterFive are delighted to be partnering with The Orpheus Centre, which supports young disabled adults to live and work as independently as they are able. They do this through developing their confidence and independent living skills, using arts-based, bespoke learning, work experience and supported living programmes delivered from their base in Surrey. All of their learners are learning disabled and some are also physically disabled.
The Orpheus Centre is located at a beautiful converted farm that provides teaching and performance spaces and self-contained accommodation. However, their success in enabling these young people to thrive means that they are over subscribed every year and have outgrown the current facilities.
The capital appeal will convert a building next to the Centre to allow for more learners to enrol, in particular more learners with more complex needs. Currently, the quiet phase is projected for 2024-2027, with the build phase being projected for 2027-2029.
The Head of Capital Appeal will sit on the SMT, reporting to the CEO, and be responsible for leading a small team of fundraisers also dedicated to raising funds for the build. While there will be a team to support, the Head of Capital Appeal will spend most of their time personally fundraising as well. There are existing opportunities, including a well-connected President (also the Founder), a Capital Appeal Committee which will be set up, and an existing pool of donors. A focus on new business, however, will also be crucial for the success of the project.
As Head of Capital Appeal, you will:
- Develop, implement and monitor the private and public phases of the capital appeal strategy to enable the Orpheus Centre to meet the appeal target
- Establish a high performing capital appeal committee of volunteers to cultivate and steward potential significant donors
- Deliver target income from a range of sources, primarily major donors, trusts and foundations and statutory sources, but not discounting other viable income streams
- Personally secure significant major gifts for the capital project
- Design, recruit and lead a team of fundraisers to support on fundraising for the capital project
- Research and identify potential funders for the capital project
- Work closely with the build project team, to ensure clear communication between the funding and the building of the project
- Provide timely reports for Senior Management Team and Trustees to facilitate effective cash flow management and decision making
Ideal skills and experience:
- Significant experience in a senior high value fundraising role
- Demonstrable experience of securing 5- and 6-figure major gifts

As our Charity Account Director within the Client Services team, you will play the lead role in driving business growth across the Charity sector in line with our 4-year plan that we launched at the start of this new financial year (April 2024).

Reporting: Develop and update reporting tools that keep the team and management abreast of performance, including presentations within our fortnightly “Scrum” meetings. Prepare and present regular reports and updates to leadership.
