As Individual Giving and Appeals Manager, you’ll deliver integrated fundraising campaigns across direct mail, email, and digital channels — helping us grow our individual giving base and strengthen donor loyalty. 

Alongside driving individual and regular giving, you’ll help shape a new in-memory giving offer, build our legacy giving programme from the ground up, and grow our Named Funds programme.

Requirements

You will be a self-starter, a great team player, a confident cross-cultural communicator and have strong project management skills.

• Past background in campaigning, with an ability to evidence skills in public mobilisation (such as utilising communications, events, stunts, social media & other tactics to get the public behind your campaign).  
• Experience of working on complex multi-stakeholder projects related to public campaigning/ advocacy/influencing. 
• Excellent digital communication skills including social media and working virtually, as well as Microsoft Office (including Teams, Word, Excel and Powerpoint).   
• Strong commitment to working in partnership with others in a collaborative and equitable way.  

Although not essential, we also prefer you to have: 

• Experience working with colleagues in different country contexts.  
• Previous experience working with or leading groups of grassroots or community campaigners

The Role

The organisation is responsible for delivery of MNVPs for both Birmingham and Solihull ICB. Travelling is required to engage and meet with service user reps, leads and relevant stakeholders.  Part time applicants will be assigned specific trust to work within (again travel will be required within the specified area).  Some level of cover will also be required across the 2 areas in cases of absence, annual leave etc.

We’re on the lookout for a Legacy and In Memory Executive to join our Individual Giving Team here at Prostate Cancer UK. This role focuses on legacy and in-memory giving - including gifts in wills which are some of the most meaningful contributions we receive, helping us fund research that will save and improve lives.

In this role you’ll be part of an exciting time at the charity, joining us as we roll out our new Fundraising Strategy and start developing new products. You’ll be delivering thoughtful, well-timed and engaging communications to a variety of audiences, helping us reach new supporters and deepen relationships with those already connected to us. You’ll also be responsible for the operational duties of the Prostate Cancer Memorial Sculpture – a poignant tribute to the dads, grandads, brothers and friends we’ve lost to prostate cancer, and a place for families and communities to reflect, remember and raise awareness.

You do not necessarily need previous experience within a legacy role but be willing to develop skills and knowledge in this area. You’ll bring warmth, empathy and professionalism to every interaction, recognising that behind every gift is a deeply personal story.

You’ll have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and a genuine sensitivity when engaging with supporters – whether they’re considering a gift in their Will or honouring the memory of someone special. You’ll be comfortable working collaboratively with teams across the organisation, as well as with external partners and agencies, always bringing a positive, solution-focused approach.  You’ll know how to tailor messages for different audiences and balance multiple priorities while meeting deadlines.

Role: Fundraising Executive/Junior Consultant

Reporting to: Head of Fundraising

Salary: £26,000 to £28,000 per annum depending on experience

Contract: Permanent

Location: Royal Trinity Hospice – Clapham, London (hybrid) 3 days onsite

Hours of work: 37.5 hours a week

The Fundraising Executives provide support to the wider Fundraising team assisting with all aspects of fundraising activity. Three Fundraising Executives are managed by the Head of Fundraising and support fundraising activity across 11 segments of income generation.

The role provides an opportunity to gain a level of understanding and knowledge about each income stream and donor stewardship.

The Fundraising Executive is a varied role with involvement in each stage of fundraising activity, from research and planning to campaign or event delivery and then income processing and thanking of donors and supporters.

The successful candidate will be passionate about learning about fundraising and how we as a team raise the vital funds needed to provide Trinity’s care for future patients and their loved ones.

The successful role holder will proactively assist sports clubs in developing sports participation opportunities and performance pathways for identified target groups through development planning.

This is a full time and permanent role. This role is also a hybrid working role, where 40% of the role will be based on campus.
