What you’ll do:
- Deliver a decision support service to managers and directors to deliver improved financial performance outcomes for the RCR.

- Documentation: Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including project plans, status reports, and user manuals.

Women and Girls Network (WGN) was established in 1987 and has spent over 30 years supporting women and girls across London affected by gendered violence. About the role
We are excited to be advertising this newly created role as part of WGN’s growth. This role will be the lead on the finance function. Reporting into the Director of Finance and Resources, the role works closely with stakeholders across the organisation including executive leadership, with a specific focus on working closely with the Director and external auditors. The role will have two direct reports – Finance Business Partner and Finance Officer. This is a hands-on role and will have full responsibility for the finance function on a day to day and medium-term basis. The Director of Finance is responsible for the efficient and effective leadership and management of the Gallery’s finance, governance and commercial activities. With scrupulously high standards, they will drive the quality and transparency of financial management and reporting, ensuring robust financial controls and the smooth running and management of the Gallery’s finances. A key member of the senior leadership team, the Director of Finance contributes to shaping and implementing the Gallery’s strategic development.
Candidates will be able to demonstrate a proven ability in leadership and financial control within a complex organisation, managing people and limited resources effectively, delivering results, thinking strategically and inspiring and motivating others. They will need to demonstrate a high degree of energy and agility, with the ability to build highly effective, collaborative working relationships at all levels of the organisation. The new Director of Finance will demonstrate a high level of financial and business acumen and strategic insight and will possess strong analytical and project management skills.
With experience at Board level, they must be comfortable with presenting to Boards and with the ability to develop strategy and present business plans.
Previous experience of the gallery and museum sector would be desirable but is not essential, and applications are welcomed from candidates with commercial, charitable and private sector backgrounds. With exceptional relationship building skills, you will be a trusted advisor to staff at all levels and confident in presenting to influential internal and external stakeholders. We are looking for a Commercial Senior Manager / Associate Director to drive the next phase of the No Interest Loan Scheme (NILS). The NILS pilot has already lent over £10 million to more than 13,000 financially vulnerable people, demonstrating the positive impact of affordable credit. This is a unique opportunity to lead a multi-million-pound programme through its final stages and oversee its strategic scaling for long-term sustainability.
The scheme is currently funded by HM Treasury, JP Morgan, and Fair4All Finance. We are looking for an experienced senior lead with a background in both commercial delivery and business case development, fluent in working with the public sector, mainstream finance, and civil society to oversee the final stages of the pilot delivery and to take charge of scaling up NILS.
Key Responsibilities
· Lead the No Interest Loan Scheme (NILS) Programme: Oversee the final delivery phase of the NILS pilot, with the Programme Delivery Manager
· Develop the Business Case: Build the long-term commercial model and business case for NILS, identifying sustainable funding solutions and influencing senior stakeholders
· Stakeholder Engagement: Manage relationships with key partners
· Scaling and Expansion: Work with financial services providers to expand NILS beyond the pilot
· Product Innovation: Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to adapt and improve the NILS product

Job Purpose and Role:

The finance manager is responsible for support and maintenance of financial services and reporting to senior management. These duties include but are not limited to supporting the Finance Officer, maintaining accounts functions, budgeting and assisting in the drafting of monthly management reports.
Responsibilities
Reporting directly to the COO the Finance Manager will support and assist the Finance Officer in all routine bookkeeping duties, ensuring the smooth running of financial operations. The Finance Manager ensures that effective methods are put in place to meet current and upcoming regulations of Charities e.g. Charities SORP (FRS102).
Duties (this list is not exhaustive)
· Supervision of regular posting of purchase and sales ledger entries.
· Preparing monthly management accounts, including comparatives to budgets, trends and forecasts.
· Compiling Balance sheet reconciliations
· Facilitating the use of account software to generate management accounts reports.
· Preparing quarterly ‘Income and Expenditure’ reports for Managers.
· Preparing interim/final financial project reports for submission to funders.
· Providing accurate and timely financial information to support the organisational financial strategy and decision-making process
· Ensuring all transactions are recorded, filed and reported correctly
· Streamlining and improving accounting systems, controls and process environment
· Reviewing and updating the current organisation's policies and procedures
· Preparing supporting schedules for annual audits and working with external accountants to assist in the preparation of annual financial statements.
Knowledge
As an experienced Finance Manager, you must be knowledgeable in the following areas:
· Proven expertise with computerised accounts systems.
· An understanding of Liberty Account software would be an added advantage.
· Understanding of Charities Commission requirements
· Highly proficient computer skills including in-depth knowledge of Excel and major Microsoft programs
· GCSE Mathematics and English
· AAT Level 3 or equivalent
· Good editing, data collection, and record-keeping with analysis skillset
