Location of Work: Flexible, this post holder can be based at home, our London office or a hybrid approach working from home with office visits as required, we continue to seek to enable flexible and remote working. The role may involve some irregular travel throughout England and Scotland.
Contract Type: Ideally full-time, 35 hours per week, although part time / flexible hours may be considered. The role may require occasional evening and weekend work.

BACKGROUND
Magic Breakfast is a registered charity providing healthy breakfasts to children and young people in the UK who arrive at school too hungry to learn, and expert support to their schools. Over 200,000 children and young people are on roll at Primary, Secondary, ASL / Special Educational Needs Schools and Pupil Referral Units that the charity works with, in disadvantaged areas of Scotland and England. Providing breakfast ensures that children start their school day with the energy and nutrition they need to be able to make the most of their morning lessons. Magic Breakfast also undertakes research, and campaigns for long-term solutions to end hunger as a barrier to learning.

JOB PURPOSE
Magic Breakfast’s mission is to end child morning hunger in the UK now and for good. The biggest team within the Fundraising and Development department, Corporate Partnerships are responsible for building and unlocking multi-layered and mutually beneficial relationships that go beyond, and include, critical financial support.
The Head of Corporate Partnerships is responsible for leading, empowering and enabling a dynamic, growing and ambitious team to maximise the potential of both cash and gift-in-kind income streams. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing strategic, mission-led focus and alignment across new partnership development and management whilst also playing a critical role as part of the wider Fundraising & Development leadership and Magic Breakfast core management group.
In recent years, our existing corporate fundraising programme has developed and grown and includes a volunteering programme that engages with over 200 volunteers a year. Our portfolio includes long-term strategic relationships with companies including Heinz, Amazon and New York Bakery Company as well as newer partnerships with companies such as Marriot Hotels. As the Head of the team, you will provide senior and strategic support to help deepen the impact of our many multi-faceted relationships whilst championing innovation and creativity throughout. You will also oversee the development of a targeted pipeline to ensure there are clear strategies for identification, cultivation, and stewardship and that partners are aligned with Magic Breakfast values and our Ethical Fundraising Policy.
To enable the success of the partnerships team, the successful candidate will work closely with other departments across the organisation to build effective relationships and identify and deliver opportunities for partners to deliver on and engage with our strategic objectives and campaigns.
As a member of the Senior Fundraising Leads and Core Management Group, the post holder will also show exceptional leadership, role model our core values, and support the development and delivery of the major giving and wider fundraising strategy, and the in-year management of our organisational objectives and KPIs.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Strategy and Leadership

Support the development and delivery of a new Fundraising & Development strategy, identifying and contributing specifically to sustainable and ambitious growth from corporate partners in line with the charity’s financial ambitions and strategic objectives

Lead in convening colleagues to ensure the organisation can make empowered decisions and continue to grow in an informed and sustainable manner.
Income Generation and Donor Stewardship

Manage a high-performing corporate fundraising team, providing leadership and support to set and implement an effective corporate fundraising strategy raising £3,400,000 in cash and £1,500,000 from GIK in 2024/25 with a focus on multi-year investment.

Increase cash and gift-in-kind income from corporate partners by:

Building the capacity of the new business function to grow a robust and diverse multi-year pipeline of prospects and support them in on-boarding new high value partnerships

Building the capacity of the account management function to effectively steward, uplift and retain our existing partners, maximising added value opportunities for mutual benefit.
Reporting, Budgets and Financial Management

Manage all aspects of the Corporate Partnerships team budget.

Lead on the data capture and reporting on all corporate management cash and gift income via our Salesforce data base, reporting as necessary on opportunities, risk and any changes to forecast or projected income received.

Conduct effective annual planning and budgeting in close collaboration with colleagues from across the organisation, setting, measuring, and reporting against agreed budget, KPIs and objectives
Core Management Group

Lead the Corporate Partnerships team in line with Magic Breakfast’s values, supporting and managing them in line with Magic Breakfast’s policies and procedures.

Develop the team’s collective capability through career development plans, which identify training opportunities (formal external training as well as via project allocation and involvement with external partners)

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Specialist Teaching Assistant to join our Education Team. This role will require the successful candidate to support an integrated and holistic approach to education, health and care, work under the direct supervision of an allocated teacher / senior specialist teaching assistant, support access to learning and provide general support to the teacher in the management of pupils in learning opportunities and to assist the teacher in providing relevant support for pupils with severe learning difficulties (SLD), profound and multiple learning difficulties (PMLD) and complex therapeutic, medical and health needs.

Role Requirements
STL1 – Provide support for Learning Activities set by Classteacher & Senior Specialist Teaching Assistant
- To support learning activities for individual, groups or whole classes of pupils, leading activities under the direction of the teacher or Senior Teaching Assistant supporting the teacher in their delivery of lessons.
- To demonstrate our School Ethos and Pupil Charter throughout the School day.
- Holistically integrate education, health and care needs.
- Evaluate and record procedures for learning activities.
- To know individual learning targets for each pupil in the group(s) and take specific action to enable individual pupil goals be achieved.
- To attend to the general care, maintenance and storage of classroom equipment.
STL 2 – Support Children’s Development
- Observe pupils, sharing observational findings, contribute to the implementation of activities to support development.
- Actively contribute towards record-keeping particularly in respect of pupil learning, therapeutic interventions, behaviour management, child protection and any other specific programme set up for individual pupils by the teacher / Senior Specialist Teaching Assistant / Therapist.
STL 3 – Help to keep Children Safe
- Undertake annual safeguarding training.
- Adhere to the school’s Safeguarding and Child Protection procedures and policies. Recording incidents pertaining to pupil safety, including for illness, accidents and incidents, accepting that Safeguarding is everyone’s responsibility and that ‘it could happen here’.
- Read relevant documentation / mandatory reads in relation to Keeping Children Safe In Education.
- Report any signs and indicators of possible abuse, being sensitive to the child/young person and circumstances, Identifying, report and record changes in behaviour and physical signs.
- Be aware of and follow plans, risk assessments and record keeping pertaining to individual pupils, including care plans, health care plans, feeding plans, moving and handling and behaviour management plans, actively engaging in relevant training and competencies offered to ensure that you are able to support in keeping all pupils in the class safe.
- Ensure safe transport for all pupils in the class for off site visits.
STL 4 – Contribute to Positive Relationships
- Interact with and respond positively and professionally, to pupils and adults, including colleagues, other professionals and parents/ carers at all times.

- Prepare commonly used ICT for use in lessons and be aware of and be able to use hardware and software commonly used in the school.

- Against intended learning targets be able to observe and complete assessments with teaching support.

- To promote and support age-appropriate play for pupils.

STL 13 – Contribute to Moving and Handling Individuals
- Follow agreed Moving and Handling plans as prescribed by therapists undertaking relevant training and competencies prior to do any of the below:
- Carry out moves and changes of position taking account of the individual’s needs, preferences and their advice on the most appropriate methods and equipment.
- Use moving and handling methods appropriate to the individual’s condition, your personal handling limits and the equipment available.
- Move and change individual’s positions in ways which minimise pain, discomfort and friction and maximise the individual’s independence, self-respect and dignity.
- Observe, record and immediately report any significant changes in the individual’s condition when you are moving them.
- Record details of methods of moving and handling which the individual finds acceptable according to legal and organisational requirements.
- Undertake therapeutic programmes that have been developed by physio and occupational therapists.
STL 14 – Support Individuals during Therapy Sessions
- Receive relevant training from therapists and then implement training and competencies throughout the pupils’ day.
- Be able to articulate the purpose of programmes and ensure their delivery in an integrated way.
- Work with individuals to identify the effectiveness of the therapy sessions on their health and social well-being.
- Check observations with appropriate people and against agreed outcomes.
- Identify any issues or problems in relation to the therapy sessions and work with individuals, key people and others to identify and agree changes to the therapy sessions.
- Record and report on therapy sessions within confidentiality agreements and according to legal and organisational requirements.
STL 16 – Provide Displays
- To produce and maintain displays in accordance with the school’s Display Policy.
- To ensure that Information Governance and Confidentiality is applied to any information that you are privy to.
STL 19 / STL 37 / STL 41 – Promote Positive Behaviour
- Highlight and praise positive aspects of pupils’ behaviour appropriate to the individual.
- Recognise patterns and triggers which may lead to inappropriate behavioural responses and take appropriate action to pre-empt problems.
- Encourage the team to support pupils consistently and regularly review their own behaviours to model intended outcomes.
- Provide feedback to relevant people on progress made by any pupils with a behaviour support plan in line with the school’s Behaviour Policy.
- Implement individual pupil behaviour management programmes if required.
STL 31 – Prepare and Maintain the Learning Environment
- Prepare the learning environment to meet the needs of individual pupils.
- Support the teacher in the preparation of resources needed for lessons by gathering and appropriately positioning them for access.
- To ensure that pupils are in the right place at the right time in the right clothing with the appropriate equipment in the correct position.
STL 40 – Support Pupils with Cognition and Learning Needs
- Implement agreed strategies to support pupils with cognition and learning difficulties to learn.
- Sequence and structure learning environment and experiences ensuring adequate time.
- Consistently apply visual, auditory, object and tactile cues.
- Provide an appropriate level of assistance to enable the pupil to experience a sense of achievement, maintain self-esteem and self-confidence and encourage self-help skills.
- Listen carefully to the pupil and positively encourage him/her to communicate his/her needs and ideas.
STL 42 – Support Pupils with Sensory and/or Physical Needs
- Obtain accurate and up-to-date information about: a the nature and level of the pupil’s sensory and/or physical needs and apply to the pupil’s learning needs, planned learning tasks and activities.
- With support adapt the layout of the learning environment and the equipment used to enable the pupil with sensory and/or physical needs to access and maximise learning opportunities.
- Encourage the pupil to actively participate in learning tasks and activities consistent with his/her developmental level, physical abilities and any medical conditions.
- Ensure that any specialist equipment is used appropriately to maintain the pupil’s comfort and maximise his/her participation in learning tasks and activities.

STL 43 – Assist in the Administration of Medication
- Apply standard precautions for infection control and other relevant health and safety measures.

- Contribute to administering and record keeping of medication to individuals in the appropriate manner, using the correct techniques according to the care plan if signed off as competent in doing so.

Partnership Manager - Wales
Location: The role will be based out of the BookTrust Offices in Cardiff. About the Role
KHULA Education is seeking an experienced and dynamic fundraising leader to lead KHULA’s fundraising and communication efforts in the UK and South Africa. The postholder will join us at an exciting time and help us to continue our growth trajectory which has seen our annual budget increase from £250,000 to £1 million in the past several years. Supported by the South Africa based CEO, and working closely with the UK Board of Trustees, the postholder will be joined by a new Fundraising Officer who you will line manage.
We’re looking for an entrepreneurial individual with strategic vision who will play an active part in developing KHULA’s future fundraising strategy. 70% of the role is focused on fundraising directly for our work, 30% on managing KHULA’s communications including donor newsletters and social media content (this may evolve with the recruitment of an Officer).

- Steward, retain and grow the support of our existing donor portfolio: KHULA has an existing portfolio of donors including trusts, foundations, corporates, major donors, individual and regular givers, the majority of whom are based in the UK or South Africa. The post holder is responsible for managing these relationships, including bespoke reporting for trusts and major donors, leading donor meetings and involving our Board and CEO as appropriate.
- Donor prospecting and new business: researching and generating new donor leads as well as acting on opportunities provided by our Board and others, converting prospects into supporters of our programmes.
- External communications: creating our quarterly e-newsletter to a database of ~2,000 supporters, managing our social media channels and the Annual Report, in addition to other ad hoc external communications.
- Fundraising innovation: leading on innovation in our fundraising approach, including creative campaigns to increase donations/recruit lapsed donors, developing products and offerings whilst considering cost effectiveness and ROI. Of particular interest is how to harness the giving potential of guests who are exposed to KHULA Education’s work when they visit Fugitives’ Drift Lodge in Rorke’s Drift.

Person Specification
Ideally you’ll have held a role with a similar scope of responsibilities around fundraising and communications, however you don’t need to have held a director level role before. Experience in a smaller charity and team is beneficial as you’ll need to be comfortable with both the strategic development side and inputting into wider planning, as well as being a leader who is willing to role up your sleeves and ‘do’.
We are particularly interested to hear from candidates who demonstrate most/all of the following attributes:
- A proven track record of personally delivering income of at least £1 million per year, including new business
- Experience in a fundraising leadership role and confidence in working alongside and advising at board level

THE ROLE

Manage The Girls’ Network mentoring (and other) programmes in your region:
Partnership development:
- Develop effective partnerships with new schools, recruiting them into The Girls’ Network’s programme to enable your team to meet regional targets. Maintaining relationships for successful renewals.
- Collaborate with fundraising colleagues during the engagement process of new corporate partners, to ensure regional targets and needs are met e.g. income, mentor numbers, programme content.
- Oversee delivery of mentor opportunities for the region’s corporate partnerships, ensuring Memorandum of Understanding are met, referring any issues of concern to the Fundraising team for support and guidance.
- Provide relevant information to fundraising and Monitoring Evaluation Research and Learning colleagues on any Tier 1 partners in the region, to enable production of evaluation reports

The role of Dose of Nature’s Development Manager is a permanent, high-level role which will continue to evolve as the work of Dose of Nature grows over the coming years. The post involves creating and implementing a fundraising strategy, supporting the Chief Executive with financial planning, and providing clear long-term direction to income generation.
The Development Manager will work directly with the Chief Executive to devise a long-term development strategy, identify and secure funding partners, and produce relevant and compelling funding proposals. Currently the main sources of funding are from trust and foundation grants and local council health care grants. Going forward the Development Manager will grow the funding stream from trusts and foundations and look to solidify the donations from locals. As the charity develops there will also be opportunities of securing funding from the corporate sector, helping to secure Dose of Nature’s future.
The role requires a focused and detail-oriented mindset, entrepreneurial flair, business development experience, excellent written communication and interpersonal skills, good time management and the ability to juggle several complicated tasks at once. The Head of Communities will lead our new flagship initiative ‘The Rudi Project’. The programme will support our vision of Holocaust Centre North as a bold and pioneering space to reflect on ‘a global history through local stories’ from the North of England and foster a culture of care.
Holocaust Centre North
Holocaust Centre North promotes education on the Holocaust and post-Holocaust issues to raise awareness of human rights, freedom, and equality. We do so by telling a global history through local stories, specifically those of survivors and refugees who rebuilt their lives in the North of England.
Our work spans archives and collections, learning, artistic research, exhibitions, and survivor welfare. Through these areas, we aim to foster a culture of care and raise awareness about the relevance of Holocaust history today.
We collaborate closely with refugees of Nazi persecution, their families and carers, local communities, artistic practitioners, researchers, and schools to create spaces for nuanced dialogue about the ongoing relevance of the Holocaust. We strive to create opportunities for reflection on the role this dark chapter of our shared history plays in the present, using contemporary critical frameworks to engage audiences with Holocaust history.
We are now seeking to expand our current work to reach communities that had previously been excluded, underrepresented, and/or marginalised in our work, also involving them in the museum itself. We are looking for an individual with experience in community engagement and development, particularly through the lens of archive practice and artistic responses to heritage collections.
The Rudi Project
Funded by the Heritage Lottery Fund, The Rudi Project aims to develop strong partnerships with local communities that we don’t yet engage with, involving them as central participants within the fabric of our work. Through a programme of workshops, events, publications and artist residencies, we will use co-production to pose critical questions: how do we engender reflections on the Holocaust's legacies in communities that feel alienated from this history? How do we work with local communities that may feel divided due to the repercussions of current international conflict? How can we commemorate the Holocaust whilst also acknowledging participants’ silent testimonies and inherent experiences in an ever-shifting present?
This initiative represents the legacy of a recent rebrand process, which delivered a re-imagined Holocaust Centre North with a unique mandate to articulate 'a global history through local stories' and to foster 'a culture of care' when engaging with stories of trauma. Building on these foundations, The Rudi Project will enable communities to guide us in the design of sustainable and long-term practices to connect with people, especially those who also live their lives after trauma, loss, discrimination, persecution and isolation. In the process, the project will further enhance our resilience and sustainability by extending the reach of existing investment, and resources and bringing more voices around our table.

Appeer is a Community Interest Company (CIC) set up to deliver services that support autistic girls and women (and those assigned female at birth) to connect with peers, to develop their life/work skills and to support their wellbeing. We provide in person and online activity groups and programmes, alternative provision, events and resources for those in the community that we serve, their parents/carers and other professionals. We are not a therapeutic setting and as such do not offer clinical support or 1:1 supervision. We were established in 2019 and have since grown rapidly from a small startup to a robust small-medium enterprise with a turnover of £250k and serving well over 400 beneficiaries a year.
All our work is firmly rooted in a ‘positive peer approach’, providing an enjoyable, pressure-free and beneficiary-centred space for connecting with others and exploring interests and hobbies in a place they can truly be themselves. We also facilitate light touch exploration of autism and the discovery and sharing of helpful tools and approaches for navigating the neurodivergent experience.
Our aim is to safeguard and enhance our beneficiaries’ wellbeing, build on their strengths, foster peer support and social networks and promote a positive outlook, whilst never dismissing the challenges they may face. We categorically reject a deficit-based view of neurodivergence and work on the basis that all brains are different and deserve equal respect, freedom and scope for expression.

The Role
As the Head of Social Impact, you will play a key role in driving positive change and evidence-based practices to support our goals by:
- Articulating and communicating our social impact in ways that are more accessible to multiple stakeholder groups – allowing stories to be told to ensure systemic change in STEM Education.
- Leading the Impact Team and a wider network of external evaluation partners to ensure a comprehensive approach to STEM Learning’s impact and evidence portfolio.
- Reinforcing STEM Learning as thought leaders in STEM education.
- Lead STEM Learning’s impact and evidence portfolio, influencing the sector, meeting stakeholder needs and driving reinvestment.
- Shaping STEM Learning’s priorities to ensure we remain purpose-led and impact-driven.
- Fostering a culture of learning from both successes and failures – both internally and across the wider sector.
- Seeking opportunities to enhance STEM Learning’s knowledge base through external expertise and networks.

To be successful as Head of Social Impact, you will possess:
- Exceptional skills in engaging stakeholders through compelling narratives and strategies related to social impact and evidence.
- Demonstrated experience of articulating evidence and impact to a variety of audiences in a compelling and inspiring way – at ease presenting to a variety of audiences, through leading forums, discussions and presenting.
- Strong communication skills to position STEM Learning as thought leaders in the field.
- Understanding of evidence, monitoring, and impact evaluations and strategies, preferably in an educational setting.
- Proven ability to generate comprehensive assessments of impact to meet the needs of diverse stakeholders.
- A track record for identifying and fostering strategic partnerships and collaborations that enhance impact and innovation.
- Experience in leading a team, providing guidance and direction to staff while promoting the organisation’s profile and mission.

To help us in this next phase of development, we are recruiting for a newly created position - Senior Evaluation and Data Manager. This exciting role will report to the Director of Learning and Impact and work alongside the Senior Evaluation and Research Manager. The role will have two main areas of focus. First, the role will help lead a rolling schedule of formative evaluations on activities in local sites including pre-and-post quantitative outcomes analysis. Second, the role will support local learning and high-quality implementation through harnessing the power of quantitative data.
You will be a skilled evaluation and learning professional with strong skills in quantitative data analysis. You will also be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and committed to the need for continued learning and improvement, as a basis for achieving Thrive at Five’s ambition to develop an effective and replicable place-based model for supporting early childhood development.
