About BDCA: BDCA is a dynamic community-led charity that has been serving the residents of the London Borough of Newham since 1998. Our motto is, “working together to change lives and transform our community” and over the past two decades we renovated four previously dead, disused spaces into lively local hubs. Job Aim:To lead a fun, engaging and exciting programme of activities for young people across the economically disadvantaged but beautifully diverse E6 area within the London Borough of Newham. You will lead the delivery of BDCA’s Youth project, in line with our commissioning contract with Newham Council’s Youth Empowerment Service. Our project provides the following youth activities in East Ham over 49 weeks of the year for young people aged 9-19:
- Three outdoor Multi Use Games Area sports sessions per week in BDCA’s sports field.
- Three indoor youth hub sessions per week in BDCA’s sports pavilion, which includes workshops such as Junior Gym, screen acting, Muay Thai, healthy cookery sessions, calming crafts and sports.
- Weekly EKO Pathways after school youth club session specifically supporting children who have been excluded from mainstream education due to social, emotional, behavioural and mental health needs.
- Two outdoor parks MUGA session.
- Weekly Youth Theatre Club, led by a local acting workshop facilitator.
- Three-week summer holiday scheme for up to 120 children per day.
- Annual ‘Stepping Up’ youth leadership programme offering training/ mentoring/ paid work experience / accredited Sports Leaders Awards for up to 30 young people each summer.
- Several offsite trips and residentials throughout the year - as often as match funding allows.

Youth Mental Health Project Coordinator

About the Role:
As Youth Mental Health Project Co-ordinator you will work within an innovative peer-education project that empowers 13–18-year-olds to tackle mental health challenges, improve wellbeing, and create change within their communities.

This role is part of the Wiltshire Project which provides individual and family support to domestic abuse for victims and their children.
Working with children and young people, the team will focus on delivering timely and high quality, trauma informed support to children who have been the victims of domestic abuse.
This is a fixed term position to November 2025.
This exciting post will be working with children who have experienced or been affected by domestic abuse. Focusing on standard and medium risk cases, this role will provide practical and emotional support to children and young people, with an emphasis on early intervention and awareness raising.
In addition, there will be the opportunity to work with the team and manager to develop and deliver new group work provision for young people.
Key tasks and responsibilities include:
· To provide high quality, specialist support to children who have lived in a domestically abusive family.
· Enabling young people to access statutory and other services where appropriate.
· Managing a caseload and working proactively to support young people and their families.
· To deliver educational, time-bound, 1 to 1 support sessions for children and young people.
· Provide specialist support to child victims, with a focus on empowering young people to make informed decisions.
· Ensure that children and young people have a thorough understanding of what constitutes a ‘healthy relationship’.
· Undertake risk assessments and implement robust safety management plans.
· Give practical and emotional support to children affected by domestic abuse.
· Work closely with multi-agency partners and the wider Wiltshire team to ensure that we maintain a focus on risk management and safeguarding.

This role will be based in our Trowbridge office, with a requirement to travel across Wiltshire. FearFree supports staff to work flexibly, with an ability to work in a hybrid fashion, both at home and in the office.
Key responsibilities:
- Manage a caseload of low to high-risk children and young people, predominantly through face to face appointments but also utilising virtual technologies.
- Complete an initial assessment of the child’s needs so that you can identify and plan the support needed to address issues and prevent any problems from escalating.
- Assess, manage, and review risks to service users, colleagues and self, according to agreed procedures.
- Assess the needs of the child and devise appropriate support and safety plans with due regard to the dynamic nature of risk.
- Work with colleagues, health and social care professionals and multi-agency networks to evaluate caseload needs and the progress that has been made.

- To understand and work effectively within a multi-agency framework, consisting of the MARAC and local partnership responses to domestic abuse, to reduce the risk for service users and their families.

About the role
This role is available at an important time for The Access Project as we expand our mission, deliver a new programme model, and move into new school contexts. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with the skills for programme design and improvement, a strong interest in research, and a deep passion for our mission to support students to place and succeed at selective universities.
The ideal candidate will be a strong leader who is comfortable working across teams to make change. You’ll be the lead and expert on The Access Project’s in-school university readiness work with responsibility for designing and quality assuring the provision, supporting the learning and development of our front-line staff to effectively deliver the programme content. This position is integral to ensuring The Access Project is delivering a high-quality programme that supports the needs of our students and drives the outcomes of the programme across all regions and schools. The postholder will bring their knowledge of the HE sector and the experiences of our students to decisions about the direction of our own programme. They will also support further development of our programme-level Diversity and Inclusion work, to ensure that the programme is tailored where feasible to the needs of all students.
Role responsibilities
Design & Development
- Project manage and deliver our programme design process, leading the implementation of an agile, in-year approach to effectively iterate The Access Project’s Accelerate (2-year) programme.
- Lead the development of our self-paced online learning provision, incorporating learning from delivery and best practice from the sector.
- Work with the Head of Programme Development and Quality to incorporate University Access Officer, Programme Leadership, school, and student feedback on how to best drive short-term and long-term outcomes across our programmes.
- Project manage the implementation of changes driven out of programme design. This includes the creation of or changes to delivery resources and training materials, as well as our university readiness framework and the Salesforce system that supports delivery.
- Ensure we continue to update our long-standing Gateway (4-year) programme as part of standalone programme design project.
Research to inform programme design and quality
- Remain critically engaged with the widening participation/social mobility sector, and able to synthesise key changes/challenges and ensure that they are applicable/actionable by the organisation.
- Ensure that any relevant Widening Participate sector developments and trends are fed into The Access Project’s way of working. For example, this might be changes to resources for the programme or working with colleagues to communicate with students (e.g. plans for A Level Results Day).
- Provide nuanced insight about the WP/HE sector, with a coherent view of the landscape and how it’s changing, to enable The Access Project to make informed choices about our programme.
Quality Assurance
- Be responsible for the implementation of the university readiness strand of the quality assurance strategy, to drive the quality of the activities The Access Project delivers to young people in schools.
- Lead on the quality assurance of self-paced learning content, collaborating with Online Delivery colleagues to identify best practice and develop a comprehensive approach.
- Participate in The Access Project’s quality assurance processes, including performing drop-ins on University Access Officers, and coordinating with other members of the team to perform drop-ins in an efficient and effective manner.
- Embed learning from The Access Project’s quality assurance process into our standard practice. This will include training and development for University Access Officers and updates to resources and guidance for what best practice looks like.
- Contribute research on wider pedagogical best practice into our quality assurance work to ensure the highest quality in our delivery of educational programmes.
Student Voice
- Maximise student voice within programme design through varied feedback mechanisms, including the organisation and facilitation of regular student focus groups.

Carers Together Wiltshire Partnership
Carers Together Wiltshire is a partnership between Age UK Wiltshire, Community First, Alzheimer’s Support, Wiltshire Service Users Network, Citizens Advice Wiltshire and Wessex Community Action. We are looking for a Team Leader to manage the day-to-day work of our operational team, programme provision, and to oversee the delivery of Carers Together Wiltshire as directed by the Service Delivery Manager. The role involves working as part of a service specific team to provide help and support to unpaid Carers who have been identified as fitting the criteria for the service. Supporting with recruitment, induction and training of new team members and managing the supervision of staff and volunteers.

The Opportunity
The Partnerships Manager will support the team in delivering ambitious membership growth targets for the College. Working closely with the Associate Director: Partnerships, the Partnerships Manager will take responsibility for:
- Developing and delivering presentations to drive Chartered College membership, ensuring that trainee teachers, teachers and school leaders are aware of and join the College, including at conferences and sector events.

Membership sales
Most of your time you will be working towards achievement of objectives (including sales and account management and supporting overall membership numbers) and income targets for the full range of products and services including group membership, Chartered programmes, accreditations and projects offered by the College. You will build and maintain a sales pipeline to report to the Associate Director: Partnerships.
Membership engagement
You will spend some of your time managing and implementing workshops, webinars and activities for groups of trainee teachers, teachers and leaders to drive membership engagement, upgrade, renewal and recruitment. This will require regular travel throughout the UK. You will also liaise with training providers, universities and appropriate bodies to support student recruitment and upgrade to ECT membership.
Account Management
You will spend some of your time:
- Maintaining excellent account management and first-rate customer service with both existing and new partners and customers.
- Working closely with Members, Fellows and supporters of the College to build and maintain relationships and expand potential partnership opportunities.

Coordinating the work of project participants, partner organisations and representing the Chartered College of Teaching at external meetings

Desirable knowledge and experience
You will meet one or more of the following criteria:

Experience of leading, managing or supporting complex projects, including budget and supplier management

Experience of designing or delivering teacher professional development sessions

Experience producing content for a range of audiences including teachers

Experience of delivering online learning
-
Knowledge of at least one of: effective use of education technology; assessment; diversity and inclusion; teacher development

Strong knowledge and experience of using digital tools, including project management tools

Experience of teaching in schools in the UK or internationally.

Our client is seeking a Head of Development to lead the creation, development and delivery of the Museum’s fundraising strategy. The Head of Development will identify and meet funding requirements for large capital projects and lead the growth of recurring funding income from members, patrons and legacies. This includes compliance responsibility for fundraising governance, processes, budgeting and developing resources to grow both restricted and unrestricted funds.
What will you be doing?
As the Museum’s funding specialist, you will create, develop and deliver the Museum’s fundraising strategy, generating income from trusts and foundations, individuals, public and statutory bodies and any other appropriate fundraising sources. Your responsibilities include:
• Establishing sustainable relationships with major funders, partners and potential donors.
• Articulate a clearly defined ‘case’ for supporting the Museum.
• Oversee the growth and diversity of the Museum’s membership, patron and legacy programmes.
• Maintain oversight of larger trust fundraising opportunities and provide direction for restricted fundraising activity.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues across the Museum, identifying and meeting funding requirements for specific projects.
• Coordinate the reporting requirements of existing and new funding agreements and preparation of future funding bids.
• Represent and promote the Museum at networking events.
• Manage the relationship between the Museum and the Fundraising Regulator.
• Lead and develop a small fundraising team.

• Evidential experience in fundraising in the cultural sector with a proven track record in writing and winning funding bids and developing fundraising strategies.
• Proven success in raising income and support from a diverse range of funders, including individuals, businesses, trusts and foundations, and public/statutory sources.
• Someone who is results-driven with the ability to represent the Museum to a range of external audiences and demonstrate the highest levels of integrity.
• A first-class communicator with the ability to, and experience of, communicating a vision and a case.
• A flexible and adaptable approach to changing demands and priorities.
• Optimum standards of presentation, attention to detail and accuracy.
• Confident budgetary skills and experience of working under pressure and to deadlines.
