About the role 

We’re looking for an experienced Senior Art Director to join our award-winning in-house creative team. This is your chance to shape compelling campaigns that inspire action, drive awareness, and create a tangible impact. You’ll bring a unique blend of big ideas, strategic thinking, and hands-on design skills to ensure Shelter’s messages resonate powerfully across all platforms.

From ideation to launch, you’ll be responsible for delivering ambitious, research-driven concepts and solutions. Occasionally, you’ll also step in to support with general design needs, ensuring that all outputs for the Shelter brand meet the highest creative standards while maintaining brand consistency. A strong command of Adobe Creative Suite is essential.

In this varied, fast-paced, and rewarding role, you’ll collaborate closely with colleagues— specifically working alongside our Senior conceptual Copywriter taking briefs from concept to completion. You’ll lead some projects independently while receiving support and guidance from the Creative Lead when needed. The role offers an opportunity to work across a range of media, including print, TV, social media, and experiential designs. You’ll collaborate with stakeholders across the organisation, creating communications for teams in fundraising, campaigns, services, and occasionally retail.

You’ll also take on a mentoring role for one of our in-house designers, helping them develop their creative skills while ensuring their work consistently represents the Shelter brand to the highest standards. Supporting their wellbeing in the workplace will also be part of your leadership approach.

Job purpose

To support  Global Majority women suffering domestic abuse.

This is achieved through collaborative working, designing and implementing a person-centred support plan, and advocacy and support to ensure that the client is empowered to reach their personal goals. You will be expected to help the client to develop skills and confidence, to maintaine their tenancies.

You will act as a broker for inter-agency support- signposting and referring to appropriate agencies, co-ordinating meetings and supporting the client to attend meetings and appointments.

You will also ensure that clients are in engaged in WAITS services.

 

Responsibilities:

Provide support, advocacy and help in resettlement to WAITS Clients

1. To Provide one to one support and advocacy to Global Majority Women experiencing DA.
2. Liaise with agencies and services on behalf of the service user.
3. Support clients to access safe accommodation in WAITS refuge.
4. To provide support to service users in finding new accommodation.
5. Provide culturally relevant support for women from Global Majority communities.
6. Provide support on budgeting finances and debt advice.
7. Support clients to attend in house and external workshops to improve the life skills and employment opportunities.
8. To write reports and monitoring documents regarding service-users.
9. To support clients to a risk-assess, safety plan and make appropriate decisions.

Liaise with other agencies in their area as appropriate

· Maintain good working relationships with Housing Providers and Birmingham City Council Housing department.

· To support WAITS clients in their resettlement into permanent accommodation.

Be an active member of the team

· Liaise and co-ordinate with other team members to provide a cohesive, high-quality service

· Participate in and contribute to team meetings

Maintain accurate records in line with WAITS procedures, regarding all aspects of service delivery for monitoring and other purposes

· Ensure cases are recorded accurately on Lamplight database system

Participate in local publicity activities to promote WAITS in the area (in liaison with the CEO)

Work within and support WAITS policies and procedures

· Act to provide a non-directive, non-judgemental service to clients within appropriate boundaries

· Be supportive and empathetic to WAITS clients

· Promote equality of opportunity in providing the service and in working with others within WAITS

· Maintain resident and client confidentiality within appropriate boundaries

· Comply with all health and safety procedures

Other duties

• Assist with fundraising, as required.
• Man the on-call phone, on a rota-based system.
• Attend WAITS team Meeting
• Writing reports for trustees and funders, as necessary.
• Undergoing staff training, as required.
• Any other duties appropriate to the salary level, which may be allocated from time to time.

Hours of work

About you

To succeed, you’ll need to be passionate about data and insights and their potential to drive change and transform ways of working. You will need to be experienced in leading and delivering data and insight change initiatives and great at developing relationships, negotiating and influencing at all levels and working with senior leaders on progress, strategy and key decisions. Ideally, you will also have experience of working with Income generating teams.

You will have expertise in data modelling, data analytics and data management technologies and you will need a good understanding of data warehousing and data integration platforms such as Azure, Fabric, Snowflake etc. And a proven ability to develop and implement performance frameworks and evaluate impact and outcomes.

Someone who can think creatively, solve complex problems and make evidence-based decisions, you also have a flair for analysing and interpreting complex data and producing meaningful insight from it in a clear and comprehensible format. GBV Charter Officer  – Tackling Sexual Violence in Universities (England)

About EmilyTest

EmilyTest is a small but impactful Scottish charity dedicated to tackling gender-based violence (GBV) in education. We work with schools, colleges, and universities, helping them develop effective policies, procedures, and practices in GBV prevention, intervention, and support. Our mission is to ensure every young person can live, work, and study free from the harms of GBV.

The Role

We are seeking a GBV Charter Officer to lead the implementation of our Charter pilot across five universities in England, adapting our successful GBV Charter framework to this educational setting. One element of the pilot will involve adapting the existing framework to meet the new E6 Condition of Registration on addressing sexual violence in higher education.

This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual with strong project management skills and a deep understanding of sexual violence in university settings. You will work closely with key stakeholders to ensure institutions enhance their policies, procedures, and practices in line with the minimum standards of the GBV Charter.

Key Responsibilities

• Project Coordination: Develop and manage a detailed project plan, setting objectives, timelines, and key milestones.
• Institutional Support: Work closely with pilot universities, providing guidance on GBV prevention, intervention, and support.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Build strong, trusting relationships with university staff, student groups, and external partners.
• Training & Resources: Assist in developing resources that support institutions in meeting the Charter’s minimum standards.
• Monitoring & Reporting: Track progress, write reports, and highlight key learning points from the pilot.
• Best Practice Implementation: Ensure alignment with E6 Condition of Registration and wider sector expectations.
• Awareness & Advocacy: Represent EmilyTest at meetings and relevant events.

Essential Skills & Experience

• Strong project management skills, including planning, monitoring, and delivering initiatives on time.
• Knowledge of gender-based violence, particularly in higher education settings.
• Ability to work independently, using initiative to problem-solve and adapt to challenges.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a non-judgemental and trauma-informed approach.

Additional Information

About the opportunity:

The Tutor Communications Officer will work closely with the Communications and Media Manager to support all aspects of stakeholder communications and engagement at Action Tutoring. The role will require you to develop engaging and motivational content when communicating with our volunteer tutor network, schools and other stakeholders.

The Tutor Communications Officer will develop their data management and analytical skills, when evaluating the impact of communications and maintaining subscriber data. They will also develop detailed knowledge of our e-communications software (Campaign Monitor) to create precise and engaging email campaigns with accurate segmentation of recipients.

Key responsibilities of the role: 

• Work with Communications and Engagement teams to create impactful communications that recruit new tutors, re-engage lapsed volunteers, and convert former tutors into long-term charity supporters.
• Maintain and analyse data across our e-communications platforms (ValueText, Campaign Monitor) and our volunteer database (Salesforce) to optimize audience targeting and engagement, while ensuring GDPR compliance and data cleanliness.
• Respond to tutors’ enquiries and feedback complaints as part of managing the communications’ team inbox, whilst supporting the wider team to do the same.
• Work with the Communications and Media Manager and other communications officer to produce interesting and relevant pupil and tutor case studies throughout the year. Collaborate with our Programme Team and your MarComms colleagues to source appropriate case studies from our partner schools and volunteer network.

Key Responsibilities

The candidate will be responsible for marketing and communications at Soundabout which includes:

• Review, update, and deliver a marketing and communications strategy and calendar to support Soundabout's goals, supported by the CEO.

We are looking for a high-calibre candidate to take on the role of Head of Programme Delivery and Operations (South of England and West Midlands) for our centres in London and the South Coast, East of England, South West England and the West Midlands. Responsibilities

• Strategic Leadership: Focus on scaling and strengthening The Resilience Project, particularly developing alternative revenue generating pathways, key partnerships and long-term sustainable funding mechanisms. From this, develop and implement a long-term strategy that aligns with the organisation’s mission, vision, and values. Lead the organisation in responding to emerging challenges and opportunities in climate justice, youth mental health, and resilience-building. Embody and model our values of courage, care, co-design, community, joy and inclusivity.

• Organisational Development: Build and nurture a high-performing team of international staff and volunteers. Foster a collaborative, inclusive, and empowering organisational culture. Work closely with the Senior Board to ensure effective governance and accountability.

• Financial Management: Working with the Finance and Fundraising Lead, develop and oversee budgets, ensuring financial sustainability and smooth cashflow. Diversify income streams through grants, partnerships, donations, and other revenue opportunities. Lead in the development and creation of additional revenue opportunities.

• Programme Oversight: Working with the Programmes Office, ensure the continued delivery and development of impactful initiatives such as the Resilience Fellowship Programme, community Programmes and workshops. Monitor and evaluate programme impact to ensure quality, effectiveness and relevance to the youth climate justice movement. Oversee our international expansion, leading on risk assessment and ensuring any development promotes sensitivity, inclusion, co-design and resilience.

• Partnerships and Advocacy: Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including funders, partners, and youth organisations. Act as an ambassador for The Resilience Project, advocating for youth empowerment and climate resilience on national and international platforms.

• Communications and Fundraising: Oversee the organisation’s communications and marketing strategy to enhance visibility and engagement. Lead fundraising efforts to secure the resources necessary to achieve the organisation’s goals.

• Line Management: Act as line manager to Finance and Fundraising Lead, and Marketing and Communications Lead, overseeing workflow and monthly wellbeing check-ins.

This is a Senior Supervising Social Worker role with a focus on the matching process to ensure the best possible outcomes for children and young people who have experienced trauma due to adverse childhood experiences.
