We are seeking an experienced fundraiser to equip our organisation with the financial resources needed to meet our objectives. The post-holder will lead on growing our charitable income across all funding streams, maximising supporter engagement and fulfilling operational duties, such as overseeing a fit-for-purpose database.
This is a new role with a significant input into our plans and strategies for the future. The successful candidate will report to the CEO and oversee most fundraising income generation.
The Fundraiser will build positive relationships to secure significant income, develop links specifically with churches and individuals and bring in regular/targeted income through recurring donations, fundraising campaigns and events. The ideal candidate will have experience covering several areas including Individual Giving; Churches, Fundraising Appeals/Campaigns as well as experience in managing the operational aspects of fundraising (database, compliance with codes of practice and fundraising regulations, creating campaigns). Through this, you will assist the whole organisation in our commitment to showing kindness, raising self-belief and inspiring hope for the future in the individuals we serve.
Main Responsibilities:
- Work with Senior Leadership Team to develop, deliver, and monitor a fundraising strategy for Pecan.
- Establish systems, procedures, proactive stewardship, and an engagement programme to provide the highest levels of service to Pecan’s supporters.
- Assist with setting up a CRM database with responsibility and maintaining appropriate data capture for the purpose of effective stewardship, fundraising and communications.
- Work with Senior Leadership to develop an Individual Giving and Acquisition strategy that drives growth for individual giving across multi-channel campaigns and initiatives.
- Pioneer and develop a broad range of relationships with churches, organisations, and denominations across Southwark, with support from the CEO.
Key Requirements (specific skills, qualifications required):
- Experience of all fundraising methods
- Excellent strategic planning skills and able to balance competing priorities
- Experience working on either eTapestry, Raiser’s Edge, Salesforce or Donorfy CRM systems
- Research skills, including identifying, analysing, and monitoring potential funders
Desirable knowledge/expertise
- Degree level qualification / Marketing, Finance or CRM qualification
- Working knowledge of local church culture
- Target-driven
- Experience of working with disadvantaged groups
- Understanding of or lived experience of issued faced by Pecan service users

About the Role

About You

The Helen Bamber Foundation (HBF) is a specialist UK charity which provides expert care and support survivors of torture, trafficking and other extreme human cruelty. We work with hundreds of clients every year from all over the world.

The Role
This is an opportunity to join HBF’s specialist multi-disciplinary team, working alongside experts in asylum and immigration law, and trauma-informed ways of working. The purpose of this role is to lead on HBF’s legal and policy work as it relates to our survivor of trafficking clients alongside our Director of Policy. The Counter Trafficking Legal and Policy Specialist will split their work between HBF’s legal and policy teams – spending three days on legal work and two days on policy work, while also liaising with the multi-disciplinary team to manage client needs and ensure expert collaborative working.

The Role

Are you passionate about supporting older people to develop and maintain their physical wellbeing? We are looking to recruit an Exercise at Home Coordinator, sitting within the Wellbeing & Connections team, to deliver a programme of activities that can support older people with mobility challenges through exercise at home.
The desired candidate will have a Level Three Fitness Qualification (PT) and will assist clients to gain confidence through movement, including chair-based exercise, and walking support for older frail clients in their home. The role is pivotal in enabling people with chronic conditions to become more active, and for people who have temporarily lost mobility to regain the confidence to walk. To ensure the ongoing effectiveness of this programme offer, the role will include training and supporting volunteers.
Role functions:
- Running our Exercise at Home programme – assessing new clients in their homes, prescribing exercise programmes for clients that align with their needs and goals, training volunteers to deliver the programmes, and managing the day-to-day running of the project.
- Delivering walking support sessions - these will be tailored to be accessible by those who have either recovered from a fall or have had surgery and need the confidence to access the community. These sessions will enable people to increase their mobility, whilst also having an opportunity to socialise with others in the local community. Training volunteers to assist clients with walking support will be a key part of the role.
- Co-ordinating other community-based physical wellbeing activities, including our monthly Flaneur Walks during the warmer months, and any new projects that arise.
- Networking with relevant local bodies, NHS trusts, GP clinics, and social services to make them aware of the services we provide and to strengthen our presence in the field.
The ideal candidate will have excellent interpersonal and organisational skills and have at least one year’s experience of working with older people. A Level Three Fitness qualification is compulsory and a qualification in delivering exercise programmes for those with mobility issues would be advantageous.

BEfriend is seeking a Befriending Coordinator to join our Befriending Project aimed at combatting isolation across the London Borough of Ealing.
We have been operating in Ealing since 1994, and are proud to celebrate our 30th anniversary this year! Our Befriending Project supports people who are isolated and experiencing chronic loneliness. It provides a lifeline to people living alone who might go for days at a time not seeing a single person.
Key Tasks:
- Client Assessments: You will support a caseload of clients from their initial referral through to the end of their time with us. This will involve processing referrals, conducting assessments, matching with volunteers and conducting ongoing six-monthly reviews. You will provide regular telephone contact whilst they are on our waiting list and signpost to appropriate services as required.
- Matching and Coordination: You will interview potential volunteer befrienders and work with the Lead Coordinator to successfully link them with individuals in Ealing who are experiencing isolation. You will monitor the matches through monthly reports from the volunteers and six-monthly client reviews.
- Support and Supervision: You will provide support to the volunteers when required, particularly during the first month of their match. After that you will conduct six-monthly reviews and ad hoc support.

This is a new and exciting role to support the ongoing growth and development of the Men’s Sheds movement and specifically the work of the UK Men’s Sheds Association (UKMSA) made possible through long term support from a funder.

Mentell is a UK charity that provides men’s groups, in-person and online for males aged 18+ to talk in a safe and confidential space, free from advice and judgement. We raise awareness of men’s mental health issues, suicide risk and support men through the challenges of life’s journey.
About the Role:
The Executive Assistant will be at the heart of the charity's activities, providing an efficient organisational hub around which the charity operates. Your key responsibilities will include coordinating diaries, managing meeting logistics, and handling agendas and minutes with precision. We have established a new office home in Stockport and are growing fast, building partnerships with social prescribers, GP practices and numerous other bodies as we seek to support as many men as possible.
This role offers a unique and exciting opportunity to be part of a growing men’s mental health charity. Given the high-paced nature of this position, you must be exceptionally organized, adept at time management, and capable of meeting tight deadlines under pressure.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive administrative support to the CEO, Head of Fundraising, and Trustee Board, ensuring seamless communication and preparation of agendas and minutes.
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders, maintaining confidentiality and a professional and discreet approach.
- Manage online systems to enhance administrative efficiency and support team needs.
- Conduct research and gather information to aid senior decision-making processes and special projects.
What We’re Looking For:
- At least 3 years of experience in a similar role, supporting senior management and building strong working relationships across all levels.
- Exceptional attention to detail, with the ability to prepare comprehensive papers, reports, and presentations, and take effective minutes.
- Proven experience in improving administrative systems and working to empower a wide range of stakeholders including senior leaders, staff team and highly committed volunteers.
- Ability to conduct thorough research and provide relevant information for senior decision-making and special initiatives.
- Familiarity with the health or charity sector is a plus, with a good understanding of charity governance and compliance being highly desirable.

- Highly proactive and capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, able to communicate confidently and professionally at all levels.
- Ability to draft clear, well-structured communications and documents.

Working Hours:
Part-Time (We envisage the working pattern to be 5 hours per day from 9.30am or 10am, with a break for lunch. Although mainly office-based, there would be the opportunity to work from home one day per week on any day other than Wednesday.)

The Haringey Community Collaborative team is located across and employed by either Public Voice and MIND in Haringey. This role works alongside a manager for Haringey’s digital community of practice platform, NavNet; and a communications lead for the Community Collaborative. The role reports to the Haringey Community Collaborative Manager.
About You
We are looking for someone who wants to make a difference to the local community through their work, supporting the success of the voluntary and community sector. You will need to have experience working with organisations and groups to help them develop and grow, and convening.
A confident public speaker with strong presenting skills with the ability to present to a wide range of diverse community groups. Able to engage with people and have a good understanding of co-production.
Able to carry out research and find suitable funding opportunities supporting VCS to write bids and method statements. Designing and delivering workshops on various topics that will support the local VCS in Haringey based on their needs.
Having a knowledge of the VCS organisations within Haringey would be an advantage but not essential.

We are looking to recruit a creative and ambitious Fundraising and Communications Manager. A key focus of the role is the development of our donor management systems and corporate partnerships, whilst providing strategic oversight of the charity’s internal and external communications. Bid-writing expertise is desirable but not essential. We are looking for a highly effective individual with demonstrable and relevant fundraising experience, as well as excellent planning, organisational and people skills. The Fundraising and Communications Manager will ensure we take a strategic approach to fundraising that ensures the charity’s income will support our growth and development in the years ahead, in line with our 2030 Strategy.
This is a great opportunity to bring established skills and experience to bear in a local organisation undertaking groundbreaking work in a range of exciting areas. The Fundraising and Communications Manager will work alongside colleagues with a wealth of experience at Sufra, and will collaborate closely with the local community and a wide range of local partners and donors.
