The VCSE Strategic Lead for Living Well and Wider Wellbeing is an exciting new role that will be focused on ensuring that the VCSE sector has voice and influence so that Salford people are supported to live well, with a focus on mental health and wellbeing.
The role will be aligned with Salford’s Living Well programme and the city’s Mental Health Collaborative. These are the cornerstones of the design and development of innovative solutions to adult mental health provision in the City. As well as the alignment with Living Well, the lead will also focus on creative health, placed-based working, and physical activity.
The Strategic Lead will work across a broad spectrum of VCSE and public sector partners that design, commission, or deliver activities and services that support the Mental Health and Wellbeing of Salfordians. This spectrum includes NHS Greater Manchester, Greater Manchester Mental Health Trust, Salford City Council, START, Mind in Salford, Salford Community Leisure, Salford Sport, and Physical Activity Alliance.
The Strategic Lead will play a key role in ensuring that there is collaborative working and effective communication within Living Well. This also includes key stakeholders, strategic partners in Salford, Local Authority, VCSE, and NHS organisations.
Living Well
Living Well is an innovative new service created and delivered by a partnership between START, Mind (Salford), Six Degrees, and Greater Manchester Mental Health Trust. A multi-agency team, collaborating to provide positive, humanistic, and safe experiences for those experiencing poor mental health who are unable to meet the threshold for community mental health services.
This post requires an enhanced level DBS check.
The successful candidate will need to demonstrate extensive experience of building multi-sectoral partnerships and relationships, as well as having outstanding communication skills. They will also have a clear understanding of the VCSE sector, preferably in Salford, and mental health and wellbeing context across Greater Manchester.

About You
The successful candidate will be employed by the IUCN UK Peatland Programme’s host organisation, The Royal Society of Wildlife Trusts. The new team member will be pivotal in the delivery of the Peatland Programme’s objectives to champion peatland values. They will have the level of knowledge and experience to drive forward and promote peatland restoration in the UK and be able to advocate the multiple benefits of peatlands through partnerships, strong science, sound policy and effective practice, and communication.
They are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Communications and Engagement Lead to drive and deliver the IUCN UK Peatland Programme’s communications activity to promote the benefits of healthy peatlands to a national audience. This will be done primarily through establishing and maintaining good relationships with external contacts and partners and using these networks to identify opportunities and to build the Programme’s reach. You will lead the production of communications materials through design and appropriate messaging, assist their advocacy work, and plan and deliver events such as online workshops and their annual conference.
They are looking for someone who is passionate about communicating peatlands to a wide audience and is creative and proactive in their approach. The peatland agenda has expanded exponentially over the last 10 years and you will need to be an excellent team player and networker to capture what is happening and communicate this to multiple partners and stakeholders. The Communications and Engagement Lead post is a standalone communications post within a small team (9 people) and your ability to quickly develop good relationships with partner organisations will be critical to your success in the role.
You will be lead on the delivery of the communications strand of the Peatland Programme’s activity. You should have experience of designing publications, creating digital content, newsletters, running stakeholder events and managing social media accounts. Crisis is the national charity for homeless people. We know that homelessness is not inevitable. We know that together we can end it.
Crisis Skylight Oxford is in the Old Fire Station in the centre of the city. It offers one to one coaching support from a team of coaches who can work with people around their housing needs and anything else that will support them to end their homelessness such as mental health and well-being, finances or finding employment. Alongside the coaching we offer practical, creative, and vocational workshops and accredited learning opportunities. In this exciting role you will be responsible for implementing the charity’s Individual Giving, Legacy and In Memory fundraising programmes (target of £1.3m in 2024). You will manage a team of up to two with the support from the Head of Fundraising, with whom you will work closely with to develop a series of targeted multi-channelled appeals and campaigns to engage with existing supporters and to attract, recruit and retain new ones.
You will be confident in handling and interrogating data, utilising your experience to deliver insight led creative campaigns across several channels. You will use data to test and learn through the delivery of persuasive and compelling appeals and campaigns - aiming to grow supporter loyalty and inspire repeat donations.
The delivery of exceptional supporter care and stewardship is paramount in this role, the post holder will require excellent communication skills to help deepen engagement strategies with supporters and work with an ambitious, positive, and creative approach - with experience in working collaboratively organisation wide.

Competencies: knowledge, skills and experience

We are recruiting a Senior Youth and Community Worker to manage the organisation's youth team and collaborate with the wider team. This role focuses on developing engaging activities and training opportunities for young people, particularly those aged 10 to 19, in the Enfield community.
The Contract:
*Salary: £28,000 - £32,000

About the role
As the Senior Youth and Community, you will lead the youth team to create community-based opportunities for the whole family, in accordance with the ethos and values of the organisation. You will also support the wider team to develop and be involved in community cohesion projects involving children, families and youth.
Responsibilities (but not limited to)
*Deliver youth work sessions during half terms, after school, evenings, and residentials.
*Line manage and evaluate sessional youth workers and volunteers.
*Lead three evening sessions weekly, including Fridays.
*Manage a team of youth workers and volunteers.
*Contribute to youth work development and lead specific projects.
*Engage with the whole community, focusing on ages 10-14 and 14-19.
*Present work to stakeholders and funders to secure resources.
*Monitor and evaluate services using qualitative and quantitative data.
*Use collected data for funding applications and reporting.
About you
*Experience of managing sessional staff, and /or youth workers and /or volunteers in a supportive and empowering way
*Experience of working in a youth/community setting that has been affected by youth violence.
*Knowledge of child protection and safeguarding practices
*Knowledge of health and safety
*Experience of monitoring and evaluation of community and youth projects.
*Good l IT skills and the ability to input information into a database, use online applications to design posters, use social media to highlight and promote activities.

Proposal Development
- Managing proposal development, supporting the quality assurance and submission of proposals.
Lifecycle Contract Management
- Preparing and executing all contracts for services on behalf of the place-based team.

- Working with the mobilisation team to ensure the successful mobilisation of services.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a brand-new team within our Operations Directorate. We are seeking an experienced events coordinator to provide support to our team in the delivery of this prestigious, impactful programme.
