About the Role:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Community Support Advisor to join our team. The primary focus of this role is to prevent domestic abuse by offering support, advice, and assistance to adults within the community who have experienced or are at risk of domestic abuse. Key Responsibilities:

• Provide safety planning, support, advice, and assistance to adults in the community to help them stay safe and maintain their current or new accommodation.
• Empower and support all victims and survivors of domestic abuse to make informed and positive choices.
• Collaborate with the Southampton IDVA service to deliver Pippa (Prevention, Intervention, and Public Protection Alliance), providing initial advice, information, and guidance to victims, professionals, and family members.
• Participate in the on-call out-of-hours rota.
• Engage in fund raising activities to support our mission.
• Publicise the support available to women, children, and men at risk of domestic abuse.
• Record and maintain up-to-date statistics of enquiries and referrals.

About you

Our ideal candidate will be a communications all-rounder. You'll be a great project manager, able to plan and stick to timeline, understanding how to bring in and get the mot out of everyone involved.

You'll be at home working with journalists, spokespeople and case studies. You will be energetic and proactive to find, shape and sell stories.

Role Summary:

Global Health 5050 is seeking a hands-on Head of Operations to support the professional running of the charity. The successful candidate for this post is expected to play an integral role in contributing to the growth of GH5050, as well as taking a leading role in managing the day-to-day and longer-term operations of the charity.

Role Responsibilities:

The ideal candidate will ideally have experience of leadership of a small to medium size human rights or similar charity, preferably with some international operations. AllChild (formally West London Zone)  is a non-profit organisation that proactively works with children and their families to flourish socially, emotionally and academically through our tailored Impact Programme.

Working with schools, we identify and support children and young people before the need for crisis intervention, connecting them to the help they need through our trusted adult, the Link Worker.

Our Associate Link Worker/Link Worker is based in the school with the children and young people they are working with on our programme. They work directly with the children, their families, their teachers and our partners to design and facilitate a two-year Impact Programme of support and champion the children and young people along the way.

Since our launch in 2016, our Impact Programme has helped thousands of children and young people at the tipping point of need. 75% are no longer at risk in their emotional and mental wellbeing, two thirds improved their grades, and 90% of schools renew after the first programme, noting ‘transformational or significant positive impact’ for the children and the wider school environment.

We are looking for a versatile and innovative individual who is passionate about engaging and supporting those from marginalised and or disadvantaged groups. You will provide person-centred advocacy support to people affected by domestic abuse, sexual abuse and harmful practices, working with people who may be marginalised or disadvantaged due to their disability, ethnicity, sexuality, language or communication needs or other barriers to accessing support. You will raise awareness of the advocacy support available through community outreach, educational sessions and professional training. You will build relationships with local agencies to develop partnership working. You will have an understanding of safeguarding and risk assessment and experience of advocating for service users. We actively encourage applicants from all parts of our diverse communities including Disabled People.

The successful applicant will have strong communication and advocacy skills and knowledge of the impact of domestic and sexual abuse.

Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Salary: £24,586.00 - £29,465.00
Contract: Fixed term 12-month contract (possible extension subject to further funding)

Part qualified/fully qualified Financial Accountant

Do you have a passion for animal welfare and a strong financial background?

I am working with an animal charity who are seeking a skilled and motivated Financial Accountant to join their dedicated finance team in central London. This is a key role responsible for ensuring the overall financial controls are in order and accurate financial statements are done. This is a 3 month fixed term contract with a possibility of being extended.

The Ideal Candidate:

• Relevant experience in financial accounting, ideally within an international charity.
• Have deep understanding of SORP, UK GAAP, and IFRS accounting standards.
• Ideally have experience using Microsoft Business Central and excel at an advanced level.
• A strong background within managing payroll with working knowledge of payroll processes and experience auditing monthly payroll runs.
• Maintains an understanding of VAT and HMRC regulations.
• Thrives in a fast-paced environment and able to work with multicurrency accounting practices.

What You'll Do:

• Oversee financial transaction processing, ensuring controls and risk management are running seamlessly.
• Manage all aspects of UK payroll processing, including compliance with HMRC regulations.
• Support the production of accurate and timely consolidated financial statements.

The Financial Accountant will have a strong background within Payroll, VAT and financial controls. Must be confident to work in a high-pressured role and have worked with an accounting system such as Business Central within the charity sector.

To be considered for this role the Financial Accountant needs to have a proven track record of working within a Financial Controller role.
